Visited the historically famous Gold Hill Hotel this past Friday myself my girlfriend and two new friends all of us paranormal investigators we sat outside on the patio there was a beautiful slight breeze blowing with the haunted miners cabin and the yellow jacket mine directly behind us. I had the salmon in fact 3 of us did and one had the steak all the food was phenomenal and the salmon was cooked to Perfection and trust me I know I'm a former working Chef. The place is under new ownership and it seems they're trying really hard to please the public... the new menu is absolutely great the food was great conversation was great it made for an absolutely amazing night..give these guys a try you won't be sorry I give them 10 stars out of 5
Stayed at the Gold Hill this last Monday . We stayed in room 12 and had an unexpected visitor , the hair on my arm raised up along with goosebumps . I also went outside late at night and got a great EVP .. the room was beautiful and quaint .. the food was out of this world !!! And the staff , waiters and waitresses are some of the nicest people ever ...Thank you for a wonderful stay ..Can’t wait to go back.:)
My daughter and myself stayed here on vacation in 2013. We lodged in room #3, the room was small and had a double bed with a private bathroom and no TV but it was just right for us, my then daughter 28 year old daughter and I shared the bed, we only needed a place to land at night as we did all the touristy stuff in town so it was just right for our needs. We enjoyed the room service dinner in our room, the food was amazing. And we had an invisible visitor that I caught on video. We loved the place and you will too.
My husband and I just spent the Weekend Getaway deal at the Gold Hill Hotel and had a wonderful time. We've stayed there many times and always enjoy our visits. The food is wonderful and we're treated like family. Thanks for the great time Matt, Pat, Noel, Nicole, Robert, Jett, Ken, and all those behind the scenes who made our weekend special. Can't wait to go back do more exploring of the local history.
We went to the Easter brunch. The staff was super friendly and very attentive. The food was delicious. We plan to make a return soon!
We were there in the second week of July and enjoyed our stay for the most part.The hotel is lovely, the staff is wonderful, and the bar is simply awesome but unfortunately did not get to try any of the food in the restaurant. I would definitely come back and stay there again!!

Perched up on. the hillside on NV-342 which turns into Main Street, the Gold Hill Hotel has. the look as if you stepped back in time to 1861. The restaurant has a new chef, Serge, and the food is incredible. A little expensive, but worth it! If you haven't tried it recently, give it a try. Fine dining has returned to the Comstock!
Great food, great people, and wonderful atmosphere in Virginia City. The deep fried ice cream dessert is the bomb! Order it with their homemade peanut buddies ice cream - yum!
Friendly service. Quality upscale menu that is not exactly cheap, but is commensurate with the quality of the food. I would definitely return.
Went in for drinks and appetizers after a run. Cute place, great feeling. I will be going back with my gal for a true dinner.

It was mostly a 1 woman show for several tables seated and while there was a longer wait than one usually expects, it was absolutely understandable and incredibly worth it. Classy atmosphere, great staff. Food was GOOOOOD. Thank you!
