I visited friends from my old karate dojo to celebrate their birthday this September and they highly recommended Carol Lee's, award winning 🍩 My favorite was the maple glazed donut! They are small and quaint with limited parking spaces. Service was extremely quick which made it easy to snag a parking spot. They offered a variety of creme filled donuts amongst traditional favorites.
Very delicious and tasty donuts. Whenever e visit our daughter at VT, this place is a must go and always is in our list. I would definitely suggest it.
I’m not a big fan of donuts in general. However, Carol Lee donuts are the exception. They’re baked fresh and are super light, yet not overly sweet or fatty. Since I usually don’t eat donuts, I was pretty clueless when ordering. The dude behind the counter was really patient and helpful, and gave some some great recommendations for flavors. The glazed donuts are solid, but I highly recommend the blueberry ones.
Carol Lee never disappoints unless they’re sold out of course. You can expect lines on Saturday mornings but it’s more than worth the wait.
They have the best cinnamon sugar donuts anywhere! The texture is soft and each bite melts in your mouth. Everything else is delicious too but the cinnamon sugar is world class!

Carol Lee's is one of the best places in blacksburg period. if there was one place to go, it is Carol Lee's. the donuts just hit different, just make sure to go before they run out for the day because they will close shop if they run out. very amazing donuts will come back for sure.

Hands down, the best place to buy donuts anywhere. Their donuts are to die for. I'm not sure how many different ways I can say the same thing. They really are delicious. This place is a staple of Blacksburg and a "must experience" if you are in town visiting or just in general if you have a hankering for donuts. Look no farther than Carol Lee. Previously they were more centrally located closer to the college but they've since moved out to North Main just past 7-11, across from the Food Lion grocery store plaza. One thing you must know about this place is that it is a hidden gem of the town. Their donuts are go fast so go early if you're gonna go. They're usually sold out by 12/1 pm. And the earlier you go.the more selection there is to choose from. You just can't get a bad donut from Carol Lee. Service is always great and fast. Parking can on occasion be a little difficult as there's only about 5-6 spots I think, but turnover happens super fast in there so someone's always coming out with their box of treasures ready to head out. And there's always parking across the street if need be. 10 out of 10 highly recommend this place for donuts. Oh they also sell coffee too in case you want some of that to go with your donuts.
I wouldn't exactly call myself a donut expert, but they know how to make a donut. The later you come, the less in terms of options you're gonna have, so come early if you want more options. All I had was a glazed donut and it was delicious. Definitely a must try for anyone in the area.
Hands down the BEST donuts around! Worth the trip to Blacksburg! Super friendly and efficient staff, great selection (go early) and make sure to get a grab bag if you’re lucky enough to get there early! They open at 6:00 am!
The donuts here are always worth the wait. Fresh donuts and friendly service every time! Parking is a little tricky but the spaces circulate pretty quickly.
