Review 7 Cities Cafe & Grill - Virginia Beach

I love small family owned businesses. This one has something special that is indescribable. From the partially open kitchen you can see a chef who puts great care into his food. Plating his food to they rythm of Latin music (everyone know's the music is a key ingredient in Latin food) and not missing a beat. I felt welcome to be there and more like family then a costumer. I have no idea how he had time to personally come and check on our table 3 times and run his kitchen. Classic Cubano was perfection. It was one of the best switches I've ever had. Such simple flavors work together in harmony. Eating this sandwich reminds me of the the first one I ever had. This place is sensational and I will be back hungry for more.

First time here and we were not disappointed. Such an array of choices for breakfast AND lunch! The beef empanadas were AMAZING! Our 3 kids enjoyed their free kids waffles. Definitely recommend checking this place out!

Such a good restaurant, food & employees alike! Definitely worth stopping by. Had the grilled cheese with cheese sauce and sweet potato fries; absolutely amazing! Lemonade was also good and fresh out the pitcher.

A HIDDEN TREASURE! We stopped in based on a pop-up recommendation and were not disappointed. Talk about an explosion of flavors! Watching Pedro run the kitchen is a treat. Looking forward to returning many times to try the french toast offerings and other yummy stuff. Prices were quite reasonable.

Maaann ohhh mannn!!!! This is the best food ever!!! Ive been there multiple times over the past 2 months and the food quality and quantity is a 10/10 and always 100% consistent. I love this food a lot better than the 5 star restraunts that I've experienced so far * the prices are far cheaper*and their customer service is outstanding!! They make me feel like home and important like a king always being attentive towards my needs. And i appreciate how they work with me on journey eating a more plant based diet by allowing me to alternate the menu items . This is my version of salmon Benedict below. ❤️

AMAZING FOOD! Definitely a homemade cooked style! I ate chicken and waffles, my husband ate scrambled eggs with sausage, my daughter had the Cheeseburger, my middle daughter had the B-day waffles (AMAZING) and Pedro spoiled my youngest with baby waffles! A great place to bring the family. ONE FINAL NOTE: PEDRO PLAYED AMAZING MUSIC THE WHOLE TIME! LATINO VIBES!

My girlfriends and I celebrate the holidays together every year at a different restaurant. This was by far our favorite. We were given a table in the back corner that made us feel like we had the entire place to ourselves. Our waiters, Alex and Chuy, also made us feel like we were the only people there and joined in our fun. The food was amazing. We joked that the burritos were bigger than ones head and one of the ladies commented that she hadn't tasted flavors like that anywhere on the East Coast. The guacamole was the best I ever had, the menu options are unusual takes on classics and the name describes it perfectly with the word Fresh. I mean, who makes homemade grits for the shrimp and grits. Our entire party rated the food first rate, the service amazing and fun and the entire party as our best Christmas dinner in all the years we have been getting together.

Everyone needs to try this new hot spot. What a perfect choice to eat dinner first night of the new year. The food and staff were amazing. Every bite had us wanting more. We can't wait to return. O' they serve brunch too....we checked out the menu and brunch looked amazing also. All of the food is fresh. Thank you Luis, Jesus, Pedro and staff for a fine dining experience.

We had a very enjoyable evening at Califresh Bistro on Great Neck Road. The food was excellent and prepared with a unique flare. The menu is very diversified from specialized tacos to crab cakes and fresh fish. The management was very attentive and the specialty drinks were a plus! Highly recommend this restaurant and we will be going back often!!

Love the place. First time for us. Great margaritas at the bar, and a friendly bartender. Great service. Barabacoa was wonderful! The chicken in my burrito had a fantastic smoky, grilled flavor. Chips were served with a very nice salad including edamame. Great first experience. Definitely going again.

If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The atmosphere is great, the food was beyond amazing, even the coffee was fabulous. Now let me get to the Margarita. Made fresh, at the table. Probably the best Margarita I have had and I have had a lot. I cannot wait to go back.

Excellent service. Excellent food. The best shrimp and grits I've ever had.

I have been there twice now. Once for lunch and last night for dinner. This is a wonderful new addition to our local restaurants. Ever since I moved into the area I have been looking for a Mexican restaurant with a more refined menu. I have periodically gone on-line to check out menus from Virginia Beach to Richmond trying to find someplace that offers more than the usual Mexican restaurant in the East. This restaurant has come the closest to what I have been searching for. I love that it is local. The food is fresh and bright. Everything is not dripping in cheese and refried beans or Spanish rice. I have become addicted to the corn and edamame salsa served with the blue tortilla chips. My sister had to quickly try and get some of the salsa before I made it vanish. And last night I also fell in love with the accompanying bean dip. The chicken tinga tacos were wonderful although a bit messy to eat. I liked the way they were served and just the right portion. My sister had the Mexican street corn and cut off some for me to try. Very interesting and delicious. Next time I will be ordering the street corn on the side. The server was very engaging. Definitely is now one of my favorite restaurants in the area. I only have two quibbles; it is not close enough to my house and the tacos should be served with a Mexican crema on the side.

Sat at the bar and had Jesus as our server. The food was amazing and the drinks were unbelievable!!! Jesus makes the best margaritas in this dang town & was great company to me and my boyfriend! We will definitely be back!!

Today was our first time dinning by highly recommended, I have the most amazing meal. The food, the presentation, the service, the staff, that I mention the Food. I asked about the soup, and Jesus brought me a sample of it. A mix of meat and chicken I literally had tears in my eyes (same exact taste that my mother used to make for me).

The food was fresh and we enjoyed everything we ate. Highly recommend the restaurant!

So glad this restaurant moved into the neighborhood! Great Latin-inspired menu. I have had the shrimp tacos (the sauce that comes with it is so amazing), fajitas, shrimp and grits, mussels and all were fantastic. They have Mexican street corn!!!! Plantains! My husband loves the goat barbacoa. They have flan and tres leches cake! The staff is super friendly and attentive. There is a sexy bar area as well. Kid friendly, too. My five year old actually requested our return trip tonight. If you are not afraid of a little spice, check it out. You will not be disappointed.

Went there with 6 friends and it was fabulous. Really fresh mexican. Great margaritas, and the tres Leche was out of this world. Lots of great food for a great price!! Can't wait to go again!

We had lunch here yesterday. The service was fantastic. Reuben had his hands full with a dozen women, but he never missed a beat. The atmosphere was great. Everyone made us feel welcome. The chef prepared a special dish for one of our friends who has allergies. The presentation of the dishes was magnificent and the food was delicious. I look forward to coming again soon. Thank you Pedro, Luis, and Reuben for your hospitality.

Tucked in the Great Neck shopping center, this restaurant was phenomenal. Shrimp and grits, chicken burrito, crab cakes, and shrimp fajitas were delicious! What a random place for such a good restaurant... I want to come back again and again!

All locals must try this place. Best margaritas in town and the food is all fresh and very good.
