Awesome, just tried after moving into the neighborhood. Used their website, delivery, and got the special: x large pizza, wings, and garlic knots for $32 ish, great deal. Food was great, especially the wings sauce, the Sal's Special Sauce: Amazing. Will be ordering again. That sauce was not spicy, not dull, full of flavor, AWESOME.

I accidentally put in the wrong address which I will take responsibility for because I didn’t double check but when the person at the wrong address refused the order I felt like they could of atleast called me to let me know. I was told that the driver couldn’t call me even though they had my number. I ended just cancelling the order and asking for a refund and they told me that I either had to do it online(which isn’t possible) or wait for a manager they didn’t know when was coming in. At the end of the day I just want my money back. I admit my mistake but I don’t have my product I cancelled the order and they kept my money. I’ve been going to this pizza place for nearly 2 decades and honestly their food has gone downhill with new management. I won’t be going back.

This can't be the same Sals I use to order from religiously! The QUALITY HAS PLUMMETED! My food TERRIBLE!!!
The ingredients are no where near the same as back in the day. My deluxe pizza was DRY and LACKED TOPPINGS. There was hardly any vegetables on it. It was so bare I thought I recieved someone elses order. The dough LACKED FLAVOR and was HARD AS A ROCK!!! My other pizza was BURNT. It literally was black on the crust and the bottom. The Buffalo wings were severely UNDER COOKED. They were pale white with gooey, stretchy skin. Needless to say they didn't get touched. I have no idea how they had the audacity to even send that out. The entire meal was a waste of money. I feel like I got robbed! It's definitely not Sals pizza anymore.

Friendly staff, and one of the best Philly cheese steaks I've had in the area! Bread was perfectly toasted, meat wasn't greasy, made to order.

Picked this up for lunch today, the pizza cook told me he made me the best BBQ chicken pizza in town and he wasn’t kidding it was amazing! Gotta love the confidence. I used to work in a pizzeria for years and this is one of the best I’ve had. Happy it’s just down the street for me.

UPDATE: Sal's called me bout an half later after writing this review. They apologized, I appreciate that they cared enough to call and correct the issue. Maybe just bad day or miscommunication on which extra cheese to add. My recommendation is that if your ricotta isn't seasoned, don't add extra. But really, Mozzarella is the cheese in Xtra cheese.
This is a first. Ordered bianca w pep, xcheese. They put extra ricotta, gross. Xtra chz is supposed to be mozz. Anyway shocked because it was the worst pizza... No spice, bland, too much ricotta, I am literally nauseous bcuz I tried to DR it up so at a slice. Groan* normally pizza good from here.

Tried Sal's a few months ago, with a Groupon, since it is a good distance from home. The two pizzas I got then were quite good. So, tonight I returned to get three pizzas for my daughters and their families. Everyone loved them, especially the BBQ Chicken which was devoured. It was a great start to a night of making Christmas goodies.

THE WORST - Sal's at 1917 S Independence Blvd, 7pm Sunday Sept 13, 2020 - Our family decided on a large calzone. 45 minutes later, what arrived was a $29 very burnt, shrunken version of the calzone we've ordered from here before. We've ordered from this Sal's 5 times in the last 2 years. One previous time, the calzone was also burnt, but we ate it anyways and spent the next day throwing up. Old dough shrinks when it's cooked and over cooking it masks the bad taste. This is apparently a way to save money not discarding old dough. The customers most likely get a stomach ache or vomit, but how many people actually follow through complaining about that or link it to the food?
CUSTOMER SERVICE - Family doesn't want to get sick, so we called Sal's back about the burnt calzone. Asked to speak with manager and placed on hold for 7 minutes, and then I was told that the manager wasn't there. I explained that the calzone was burnt, then was placed on hold for 6 more minutes before I was told that "the cook said it was not burnt", and it was "supposed to be like that". I asked them to cook another one and I took the calzone back to Sal's. When I got there, they said they weren't cooking another one until they saw this one. I asked for a refund. Then three of the employees started grumbling to each other in Arabic to mask the content of their disagreement. I got a refund and then left at 9pm. Went to grocery store and bought oven bake pizzas. Should not have ordered from here and definitely won't ever again.
