Back home there wasn't any ramen places, so I may or may not have become a regular here. Spicy miso and katsu are delicious and a solid go to, with some milk tea from next door
Small enough to feel cozy, big enough your not cramped and the atmospheres excellent.
Staffs super friendly and service speed and quality are top notch.

What a fun and authentic restaurant! Staff was friendly and attentive and the ramen was on point! Flavors were great and food was very authentic! A must try to Ramen lovers or those who love Japanese cuisine. Boba was also delicious and a great price compared to other Boba places.

Great aesthetic and good food. We all know that what makes ramen great is the soup base. And they definitely got that right here. Not too light and not overpowering. I got the spicy miso ramen and it was great. I will say that the bamboo shoots were somewhat sweet, which is not what I was expecting. But that didn't take away from the flavor from the soup.

The last time I checked, this place was owned and operated by Japanese husband and wife team. So if nothing has changed recently , it still ran very well because THE FOOD IS GREAT. The Fried Chicken Ramen is outstanding. The broth itself is outstanding. (And they give you four levels of spiciness to choose from if you like spicy)
It's a cozy sushi bar when you first walk in, but has expanded space for more spread out dinning and for multiple customers, very nice.)
The decor and atmosphere almost makes you feel like you just took a portal to a ramen shop in Japan!
And if you like Japanese beers, they have those available too!
I looked at all the stars I gave and I was wondering if I was being too generous with this review , but I've been here twice so far, once a couple years ago, and the second time very recently and I got the same wow factor. Now that's impressive to me.
The workers are energetic and positive and seem to really like working there. So that's another plus.
May have something to do with good leadership.
I recommend this location most definitely.

OMG! I have to say, I been to Tokyo, Sasebo, Osaka, Nagasaki and this is the closest food I found to original Japanese food in USA. Unfortunately, I don't live in Virginia, but in Michigan. Wish Michigan had this restaurant! Need to open one up north, it would be a huge hit.
For three people it was about $60, Everything was made fresh! Had soft drinks and we even got doggy bags. Portions are excellent!
Definitely will go back couple times before I have to head back North.
BUT...will be back every year just to come eat! Oh yeah and to visit family member stationed in Norfolk :) LOL. See what good Food does? LOL

The server's here were very nice and attentive. Without asking he brought me extra napkins, I know I was sniffing a lot eating the spicy pork I added to the bowl. The portion of my ramen was bigger than I anticipated so I was surprised I was full.
I enjoyed my experience dinning in. The decor had a lot of personality and music was nice. It was nicely lit and very clean.

My son and I had ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and it was really good. I asked for the spice level 3 and it was HOT which was what I was looking for. My husband ordered the Kappa Nara House Ramen and my daughter ordered the Tonkostu Ramen - they enjoyed it as well. We ordered the kimchi fries and we were not thrilled about it and I’m not going to knock my review over this dish.
Additionally, the service was amazing. We did have to wait and they acknowledge and apologize for the wait.
Also, really neat to have the bubble tea shop next door.

Great customer service! We came for the Ramen and it did not disappoint! Portions are big enough we both had leftovers i also got the curry rice dish to take home for later oh so yummy.The 2 servers wore mask the entire time its small and quaint..the server was very knowledgeable about the flavors and menu items. Will def be back to try new things.

Ramen on a rainy day is the best! This place was packed when we visited, and we were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. We were seated within about 10 minutes, but due to the number of guests, we had to wait for our food for about 20 to 30 minutes. It was still worth the wait.

Definitely come here for the ramen. The ramen is the best in town! They even expanded and added a boba tea shop attached to it. There are moderate amount of seating probably not enough during peak hours. They get packed!
It gives the "hole in the wall" vibes inside but you know those are the best places. The staff are so quick and friendly. Whoever selected the music playlist is awesome. I am bias because it was a lot of millennial songs from early 2000s.
I got the seafood ramen and it was just really good. I also got some appetizers I forgot to photograph them because I was starving but all the food we ordered was on point. Definitely recommend this local ramen spot!

Staff was very welcoming. Ordered the fried chicken ramen. The fried chicken was delicious however, the broth lacked flavor or spice. This was my first visit so I didn’t realize I needed to spice it up. I ordered takeout which was packaged nicely but was not given any hot or soy sauce or sriracha.
