Review Harold's - Virginia Beach

I like fried mushrooms but these I LOVED ! Plus the pizza was amazing! The waitress was wonderful! I love that you can can see the chef cooking. The workers and a lot of the customers new each other :-) People even said high to the chef:-) This is my favorite pizza place now.

Friendly staff and good pizza. If you like cheese you will like Harold's. The pizzas and cheese bread are layered high with cheese and yummy toppings. The brownie was a great dessert. We will definitely be back.

A local favorite! They were busy but made us feel like home! We ordered a small pizza and surprisingly very good! The flavors were good and the crust light and fluffy! And Harold himself served us!!

I have only had their burgers and pizza but man are they good. Quick, friendly service as well. Everything is very fresh as well. This is clearly a locally owned placed with people who care about the food and the service. If you're looking to try a new place, give them a shot. It will be worth it!

Met my best friend here last night for a couple drinks and good conversation before his wedding today. We had a blast! The Stella was cold and crisp and their pizza was on point. The staff was amazing and attentive. Only real drawback is no sweet tea but that can easily be forgiven due to the subdued atmosphere and great service. Will definitely return when back in town again.

On a search for somewhere to eat, we came across Harold's Bar and Grill. At first we were a bit skeptical, but after walking thru the doors, we knew this place was going to be good. The atmosphere was so inviting. Everyone who was working were so friendly, and the music was just right when it came to genre and volume level. And the food!! Definitely worth the price!! To top it all off this was the first place my daughter used a big potty! (Training in progress) so this was a special moment! I will definitely be back here, and I've also recommended this wonderful establishment to my friends and family :)

Food was FANTASTIC! came out in a very good timely manner! Everything tasted fresh!, from the sprite, to the garlic bread. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for some great food! Pizza and everything was 10 out of 10! Best experience in a while!

Amazing pizza and greek salad had nice dressing, very tasty. The prices are good too. Wait staff & business family owned good hard working people. My father & I go here for lunch. Best place to have a relaxing diner with the family. Good memories, great food, 5 stars! ❤️

Absolutely love this place. It's been a family favorite for years. This is a magnificent dining experience. Cozy and quiet with great food and atmosphere. Its not a chain restaurant so it's a really personal dining experience. Harold never fails to make our experience one to remember. The friendly staff is always eager to please and the food is great too. The dessert is even spot on. Absolutely love it. Highly reccomend this place if you are looking for a good quiet place. Conveniently located at town center, it's a stone's throw away from everything. You can't go wrong with Harold's

Enjoyed a Big juicy burger and fries. Thickest burger I’ve ever had and cooked perfectly. Very fresh hand formed party. I took home a pizza for the family and they enjoyed it. Harold’s is large and was at one time the hang out for Princess Ann HighSchool families after ball games. People should revisit this place. The service is still friendly and food and prices are very good! Latex free also.

This place was GREAT, 100% AS ADVERTISED! Definitely some the best pizza I've ever had. Incredible crust, fresh toppings, and a nice thick layer of pizza. And more importantly, it was just as good after reheating it.

Awesome place for some home cooking. Kind of a throwback to the 80’s when this restaurant was the spot and was always slammed. Have great service and really good pizza, cheeseburgers, and Italian food. They buy their tomatoes from some special lady that gets them fresh all the time even in the dead of winter the tomatoes are to kill for! The servers are always very attentive and are always on top of thing before you even ask they even know my order by heart. Great spot in town center!

Harold's is such a great local pizza shop. The toppings are always robust, the cheese is gooey, and that sauce is phenomenal. The homemade deserts are a great choice as well. Do not pass them up. can't say enough about how good and creamy the Chocolate Cheesecake is. It's incredible.

This place was wonderful, what a hidden gem. Our party got baby Greek salads, spaghetti and meatballs, and Greek pizza. The food was delicious and the beer was cold. The waitress was excellent. The atmosphere is great and family friendly. Check it out!

Harold's has been a family favorite for years. A great locals spot. Large enough to not feel crowded but the warm wood of the beautiful, old large bar and the general setup makes it feel like a nice cozy atmosphere. A great place for a date, meeting friends or even a family. Quiet enough for nice conversation but feels like a fun environment for a family with children as well. Pool table and video games are always fun to go visit in the back corner while waiting for food. There always seemed to be a few people at the bar around dinner time butt does not have a bar type atmosphere. Great food. We love the gyros, Greek salad, Greek pizza, spaghetti.... So many great items. Located so close to the hub of shopping and offers a quiet retreat. Barnes and Nobles is a few away around the corner. Also live everything they do for charity. They always offer for sale, when not sold out, the most delicious brownies ever and all the funds go to support their nonprofit. Overall just a great 5 Star location and place to eat!! Skip the yummy chain restaurants next time and visit this yummy, unique, local restaurant. A great addition to the many options offered in this fast growing areas of Virginia Beach!

First time here. It's very cozy very clean inside. Not too loud but everyone was having a good time. Older couple that served us could be the owners. They are very friendly and courteous. I didn't get pizza today because I just had dental surgery. I ordered lemon chicken spaghetti and wings instead. Omg their wings guys! Best wings I have every had in a long long time. They are crispy outside yet juicy inside. Not overcooked, not dried out like everywhere else. It's not greasy at all either. Seasoned to perfection. No exaggeration!! It is so very hard to find a restaurant that doesn't over season their food. This is the one! I love everything I ordered today. I have to be back again when I can chew bread!

My son and I went there last night for dinner for our last time, they are closing after 47 years. I have been coming here all of my life really going to miss the owners and staff. They will be closing on May 7, 2022, their biggest problem was finding people to work.

Delicious!  I had never been before and had the cheeseburger.  It was fantastic and they have a  really nice staff.  It looks like a dive bar but a total hidden gem.

Awesome!. Harold's has been a mainstay in Hampton Roads for a very long time. Driving by it multiple times, I never thought they would offer one of the better quality pizzas you can get in the area. Walking in you will not be blown away by the decor, the lighting, etc. But once you see the vast array of dishes that the menu offers, you will ignore the setting & trust that you will be in for a very satisfying meal. <br/> We started with Calamari which was pretty good. They were not chewy whatsoever & had a pretty good taste them. My family all enjoyed them! For our meal, we had 2 personal pizzas for the girls & my wife & I split a large pizza topped with Pepperoni & Feta. Though the pictures make the personal pizzas look a wee bit sloppy, they were rather tasty for being so messy. This may be a turn off to some so I won't say they're for everyone. The Pepperoni & Feta Pizza was awesome though! The pizza was amply & evenly topped with fresh toppings & had a tasty sauce, served on a crust that was fresh & cooked perfectly. We never thought walking in we were going to be given a pizza that was so good & well put together. We could only eat half & were given a pizza box to take the rest home.<br/> Driving by here I never would have thought that this was one of the better places in Virginia Beach to grab pizza. I know there are plenty of restaurants in & around this part of town that offer pizza, but I really don't think you will find pizza as good as Harold's anywhere around the Town Center.

Still great. I have eaten there many times in the past years. I figured it had gone downhill by now. We stopped in after doing some shopping near by. We had a delux pizza and beverages and a greek salad. The small salad was enough to share and the pizza was great. The waitress was friendly and kept our drinks topped off. We agreed not to make it years before goin back again. Cant wait to return.

Lots of choices, always good.. I have been a long time customer of Harold's and have been coming here off and on since the mid 90's when it was still called the Azalea Inn 2. Back in those days it was more of a bar crowd. Harold bought out his partner in the late 90's and Harold's was born. These days it's a straight forward family restaurant.<br/><br/>On my latest trip I stopped in for lunch and had a bacon cheeseburger. This is a huge burger severed any way you like it with a side of steak fries. I've added a picture to the review.<br/><br/>Beside consuming mass quantities of beer back in the day we used to come here for Pizza. Harold's makes an excellent one hands down and if you like pie, stop in and try one. Other items of note are their lasagna's, burgers, sandwiches and last buy not least Brenda's deserts. BTW all money from her deserts go to the American Cancer Society.<br/><br/>Check them out if you're in the Pembroke area. They're beside Barnes & Noble facing Va Beach, Blvd.

Love the calamari!! I have tried it everywhere and this is the best. The burgers & pizza are good too!

Harolds at pembrook. Well i had the fish special a lemon chicken and i med. pizza 3 drinks a piece of cheese cake and a piece of pie and it was 61.00 and change to rich for my blood, first and last time........

Basic fare, plenty of it. No frills.
