I love this place. I can shop, catch brunch or lunch at the little restaurant next door and feel like I've accomplished great things! I love the fresh baked goods, great prices for baking and cooking needs and just lovely folks! If you haven't been, you are missing out!

The best little business in Virginia Beach. I wish I could shop their baked goods online but I look forward to stopping in when I am in town!

Crinkle cookies. It's hard to find them when you crave for some. But I tell you, it's great to know that when you search on Yelp, you get results with great photos that Heritage Bake Shoppe does bake them. And customer service was wonderful since they answer the call and tell you they have cinnamon crinkle cookies sold in 6 or a dozen; and chocolate ones that are included in cookie platters. Sure enough, we ended getting the platter. By the way for the holidays, the gingerbread cookie didn't disappoint, they are bits of ginger, what a treat in texture and of course Mr Gingerbread man was cute! All cookies were of good size and they look freshly baked. Always love the ambiance here. You feel the love of baked goodies as soon as you enter, the aroma, the delectable selections ... the whole experience.

This bakery made my heart sing, it was like walking into my Nanny’s kitchen!! Wet bottom shoofly pie, soft molasses cookies, whoopie pies, chocolate cupcakes with peanut butter icing - all that were pure perfection!! There is also a little store where I had to get Pennsylvania Birch Beer, and a little deli, where I had to get Lebanon Bologna. I can promise you, I will be visiting Heritage Bake Shoppe EVERY time I am in Virginia!!

We really enjoyed looking around their shop. Variety of items from candy, honey, condiments, fresh butter, deli items and the fresh baked goods. Staff was extremely friendly and pleasant to do business with. My daughter got a free lemon cupcake for her birthday! I'm hoping to get the fresh butter before we head home. We tried so much: black raspberry coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, lemon cupcake, lemon bars, wheat bread and herb bread. All were delicious!

The people who run this bakery are AMAZING! Very courteous, friendly and try to accommodate the tremendous amount of customers they have. We usually shop here twice a month (at least), and LOVE everything we buy. Our family only eats their delicious deli meats (we love the roast beef, ham off the bone, turkey and salami) and cheeses, especially since this is the only place I can find Farmer Cheese! Meats are comparable in quality to Boars Head, at better prices. We also love the Friendship Bread, Sourdough, Ezekiel, Whole Wheat, Herb bread, dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls. Our favorite cookies are Molasses, Cinnamon Oatmeal and Peanut Butter. Any of their pies are delicious! They have fantastic seasonings and spices too. The brown sugar is the softest I have ever purchased, and only use it. Give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

A very nice bake shop (with tasty baked goods), bulk treat shop, and furniture store, with friendly people throughout... ...you feel like you might like to make a reservation and stay the night, though Im certain that's not permitted. LOL The Oatmeal cream-filled cookie was reallly good, the cream was the same as the chocolate gob, which hooray is the right type of cream filling! (Its Not whipped cream) I admit, I ate them all except the Oatmeal cookie before I thought to take a photo. Oh, It looks wrinkly because of the shrink wrap.

Their lemon bars (just $8 for an 8x8 tray) are made with the same wholesome ingredients I would use. Hit the farmers market across the parking lot for fresh berries if you can. Raspberries amp up the lemon flavor, and Chantilly cream takes the sweetness from the generous coating of powdered sugar down a notch. The perfect early summer dessert. They have some unusual ”pantry" items, like dough enhancer in the refrigerator case. Plus they have King Arthur and some other specialty flours at good prices. A score for serious bread bakers.

Love the country store vibes and the selection of Pennsylvania Dutch foods. Being originally from Lancaster County, Pa...there are plenty of area snacks, sodas, and foods from that region.

I'm glad this place still exists. The baked goods are out of this world. Hand made every day. So good. They have so many other things there in the shop too. I highly recommend taking a visit. Very kind and friendly staff as well. We got the cinnamon rolls and this delightful oatmeal creme pie you see pictured below.

Greeted when we entered the store. The staff members were friendly our whole time in the shoppe and made sure to let them know if we needed anything. We loved walking around the shoppe. When you enter the shoppe they have that part but also if you walk down the hallway there is an expansion and there are more goods in there too. They have fresh baked goods – cookies, brownies, pies, etc. They had spices, rubs, flour, sugar, chips, sodas, fudge, juice, handmade soap, crackers, candy, little toys, bags, pancake mixes, teas, jams, jellys, preserves, cookbooks, etc. The bake shoppe also connects to the Heritage Amish Furniture store. Plenty of parking outside and around the shoppe/furniture store. We bought a few items from the bake shoppe and have tried a few and enjoyed them and we plan to go back again soon. I love Amish shops. They are always friendly, stores are clean, and they have GREAT prices.
