This place is awesome. Great staff, great food and a nice atmosphere lead to a positive experience every time. I've been eating here for years and they never disappoint. The DJ on the weekends can go a little hard playing the old school "whoop there it is" type classics but I live with it.
Local favorite. Always a good time -- stop in for a smile and a drink, or a friendly chat over some great food.
Had the pulled pork sandwich: da bomb! Not the vinegar type but the BBQ type. Very good! Also, the fried brownie sundae: da bomb! Great service, great atmosphere. Very attentive, food hot when served. The DJ arrived around 10pm but the music wasn't overwhelmingly loud and there was no smoking inside. Bathroom clean, dining area clean. Would definitely go back!
Food was great. Had burgers, French dip, and wings. Everything was awesome. Waitress was very nice! Great hidden gem off of Shore Drive!

brought lunch home today from Green Parot ....great stuff - cheeseburger w/ham.....giant flounder sandwich and bowtie chicken soup.
We went to Green Parrot Grille in Chick’s Beach for my daughter’s birthday. For some reason, I do not have a photo of her Charleston Shrimp but she really enjoyed the crispy butterflied shrimp and sweet potato fries. All of the food was fresh, hot and so delish! The crab dip was the only item we ordered that we didn’t like. A bit pricey, very cheesy, not very crabby with burnt toast and bread. The other appetizer, fried oysters, were outstanding. 2 apps 4 dinners and two desserts, sodas, coffee, no alcohol. $150.00 before tip. The food was high end, the atmosphere, neighborhood bar. We don’t spend this much on dinner normally but we enjoyed it for this special occasion even with the bar atmosphere and disposable cups. Latex free.
My kiddo rated the eats as a 5. The food was good and good potions. The price was right as well especially if you snag a groupon. This is a locals place but all feel welcomed. I will be back.
First time going and the food was amazing. Tiffy our server was very nice and professional. Definately a family friendly local place that we will be returning with the kids.
Everything tasted pretty good, and the service was very good. The atmosphere was friendly. I wish I had gotten a burger instead of the cod, but it wasn't bad.
Good food and drinks. Pretty impressed with the tasty food for a dive bar. We went for dinner but stayed for the karaoke. Fun times.
Great little "hole in the wall" joint with really good food. It was hard for me to decide on what I wanted. I had the she crab soup and their crab cakes with cheesy grits. Both were excellent. I would really like to try just about everything on the menu.
Food was great! Drinks were great! The waitress was so nice and polite. Just a little on the pricey side.

Really cute bar. Follows the idea of a parrot (parrot menu and such).
Has a sit down bar and booths on the other side.
Menu is very large, with lots of options, mainly seafood based.
Parking seems limited, but there are plenty of other places to park.
Bathroom is near the sit down bar.
Staff are friendly and laid back.
Happy hour food wise is from 3pm-6pm for $5 your choice (menu is limited to buffalo chicken, chili cheese fries, bacon and cheese quesadilla, fried oysters, boneless wings, lumpia, and pretzels with mustard sauce).
Drinking happy hour is from 11am-7pm.
Lots of bar regulars here. Very friendly environment. Definitely recommend this spot before hitting up the beach next door! :)
Great She-Crab soup & Bloody Mary's! Food is consistently good and the menu stacked with solid favorites, which is why most people visit regularly. The decor is pragmatic with a few tropical accents thrown in. As a popular Chix Beach locals hangout, there's a friendly casual atmosphere that's inviting. They can have an off night; on my last visit they ran out of crabmeat and I couldn't have the soup. But everything else was excellent, so I'll be back there soon.

Great atmosphere! Amazing food! Great prices! The staff was on top of everything! Food took a bit long to come out to the table, but even short staffed it turned out great, and well worth the wait. Definitely a good choice for after a day on the beach.
It's a hole in the wall, low key, local's hangout. Food is awesome. She crab soup has real crab. Highly suggest the parrot salad and the shrimp in the entree. Forgot the name of the dish, but its the name that you wouldn't be familiar with as a shrimp dish. Oh, everyone there wasn't wearing a mask. Just sharing in case you like it like that, or you avoid places like that.
My fiance and I just ate here and I must say I was really glad we stopped by. We are visiting from Maryland and we used Groupon to find a food location. When I pulled up I was worried but after the warm greeting and walking into the establishment I realized this must be a local favorite. I will be back next time we visit. Food was excellent. We order the big a** shrimp and my fiance ordered pork BBQ. Two thumbs up.

This is our favorite place to eat. It has been for many years and it is the secret of Chicks Beach. Times are tough and I’ve seen some negative reviews, so I wanted to clarify and rebuttal. This is the locals restaurant, we moved away and came back and it seamed different at first when we came back. With all the craziness of the world, the Green Parrot was a place I went weekly with my wife before marriage. It was our special spot and we had our table. We had our place. Time has changed the world recently and we came back, and couldn’t sit at a table, we couldn’t even get in at first. It was the first place I wanted to go, but we could hardly get in. I’ve called over the last few weeks instead of our usual walk in and just politely asked for what we wanted. Things not on the menu anymore, things we loved, and each time they have made them for me. Recreated amazing meals, like a friend, and I have been impressed beyond belief. I all I did was ask, I didn’t plead or beg, or get rude, I just asked for meals they used to make, and In 10 minutes they were there. They bent over backwards. This is truly the heart of Chicks Beach, it is the acceptable place for your family, for your first date, and a little latter on for your friends to unwind. It is affordable, the food is amazing, and if anyone had an issue here, it’s a misunderstanding, because it’s a gem. It is absolutely the best place to eat in Chicks Beach, but a Lamborghini and hundreds won’t get you seated faster.
First time there was a great experience. Ordered steamed shrimp and Ahi Tuna bites. The food was good, beer choices were good . This place has good vibes. Came back for fried oysters and fried shrimp!
Came back on a Sunday. What a brunch!!! Back for another meal and still gets a 4 ⭐. Back again January 2019. Don't pat attention to the bad reviews those people are just miserable. I've become a regular for the brunch its awesome! The California Eggs is a new favorite. This place rocks!!

I can't believe the quality of the food at the Dirty Bird. I'd normally never order a steak at a place like this (bar/restaurant), but it was recommend, and I did. It was fantastic. I've had probably half the items on the menu at this point and haven't been disappointed at all. The staff has always been wonderful too.
Absolutely Love green 🐦 parott one of my fave places to eat. GREAT GREAT TUNA BITES SALADS AND STEAKS. OH AN THERE CRAB CAKES ARE SO YUMMY TOO. I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR 10 YEARS OR LONGER. HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT.
It has this nostslgic setting people long for in a restaurant. And for a cold, dreary winter day at the beach, we feel cozied up in a low ceiling ambiance. There were good amount of diners there perhaps local. The waitress was kind to us international guest. The fish i had was fresh. The food was nicely prepared and tasty. Price was affordable even atypical in a beach setting. We had a good time.
I'm from out of state and stopped in for the night on a road trip. Had a blast. The live entertainment was spectacular and that doesn't even begin to describe how much fun it was. Amazing time, recommend to anyone that wants mind-blowing food and an awesome atmosphere. And definite shout out to the wait staff for being so friendly and making me feel like I was at my own hometown hangout.
