Review Judy's Sichuan Cuisine - Virginia Beach

Authentic Sichuan (Szechaun) food. If you're like me, you are always looking for that real Authentic style cuisine, not just the beef and broccoli. It's another hidden gem and the meals can be eaten family style. Lots of pepper and whole lot of flavor. A+ on the food. They were struggling a bit with the servers, but food will make it well worth it. Our server was great, and we got our food quick fast.

Nice, pleasant atmosphere; efficient service, very reasonable prices, and great food. We couldn’t believe we found an authentic Sichuan cuisine in Virginia Beach. We ordered: 5*Steamed Chicken in Hot Chili Oil 口水鸡: signature Sichuan dish. Authentic and delicious. We loved the sauce. 4*Fish Filets with Tofu, Chili & Pepper 麻辣豆花鱼:big portion. Fish and tofu were tender. It looked more spicy than it tasted. Very good. 3*Vegetables and tofu soup蔬菜豆腐汤:it was ordered to balance out the spicy dishes. The soup was clear, fresh, and healthy. It was pretty plain without much salt. The chef cooked it just right for a simple healthy soup.

Very unassuming from the outside. When you step inside, you're immediately greeted and seated. The wait staff comes right away to ask if you want anything to drink or appetizers. Service here is wonderful. Then you’re presented with a HUGE menu. For me that’s great but not great if on the day where you just want to eat and not be like the foodie alter ego that you have. I ended up ordering the Kung Pao chicken. It was delicious. Something about it that sets it apart from the rest: it is not oily, it has more chicken chunks then veggies and peanuts. It has a slight different kick to it , not only spicy but also slightly tangy, a hint of vinegar? Whatever it is, it was delicious (did I say that already?). Definitely will come back for that beef stew that everyone talks about!

Awesome experience! The restaurant is clean and welcoming, staff is wonderful and friendly, and food was excellent! I got the lunch special beef and broccoli and seafood assortment with crispy rice. Highly recommended!

Craving some Chinese food, usually eat Cantonese style so was excited to have some sichuan and Judy’s didn’t disappoint. With the family so ordered 4 dishes and an appetizer. Shrimp lettuce wraps were delicious: Xiao Long Bao came with an amazing dipping sauce; shrimp with vegetables were my favorite as the vegetables were plentiful along with the shrimp. Large portions have at least 3 more meals for a family of four. Our server was a sweetie and very clean environment. Service pleasant and owners were helping their team.

Went here to grab some dinner and at first I was a little shocked by the prices but then when I saw the portions it all made so much sense. Huge portions with quality to match. Waiting staff was upset nice and even made recommendations on dishes which I love. Also a lot of vegetarian options packed with a lot of flavor. I will be going back asap.

I came here with a party of 10 (5 adults and 5 kids including a 8mos old baby). We didn't make reservations so this place does take walk ins. The manager, most likely the owner, was arranging and setting up our table right away. I did have to wipe down the high chair before sitting my baby in it as it was a bit sticky, which was a bit ughh for me. The food was not bad. Certain dish was just alright, certain dish was pretty good. We thought the lamb was pretty good. The beef was not bad. The tea duck was a little disappointing to us. The portion is average, not too big. We also ordered a chicken noodle for the 4 kids, which was a good portion to split among 4 kids. There is a meal tax and a sale tax here. Tax alone already $20 or so.

This place never disappoints. Their vegetable/tofu soup is a great appetizer. Their entrees are very delectable and their portion sizes allow you to take some of your meal home. The staff and owner are always pleasant and inviting.

Delicious dinner, great staff, a wonderful time. Walked in with a group of 6, were promptly seated and waited on. Certain dishes are better than others (General Tso's was more flavorful and spicy than Sesame Chicken) but everything was delicious regardless. Clean bathroom, tables, etc. The decor is nice, too. Great waitress, it was a good time. Highly recommend the Scallion Pancake and the General Tso's chicken.

The Sichuan pepper steamed chicken in hot oil cold appetizer was so good but we ordered it mild but it was soooo spicy because Sichuan cuisine is spicy 😅 But we started with that so we couldn’t taste any of the food that came after! So order it just eat it last cause it’s so flavorful! … the vegetable dumplings were okay the dipping sauce gave them amazing flavor the lo mein is great! And the PORTIONS are HUGE! It’s defs family style! And it’s very affordable!

Judy’s is so much better than Chinese take out. The food is really fresh and has an authentic appeal. We knew about this place for a long time, but we never were interested until one time Tida Thai was closed and we tried it. My wife and daughter also love it and now it’s a regular place for us. We invited my mother and brother one Sunday and it is now a regular place for them too. I highly recommend Judy’s for generous portions and great, freshly cooked Chinese cuisine!

I love sichuan cuisine and always look for a restaurant around the places I visit. Judy’s exceeded my expectations. Awesome food!! We ordered Steamed Vegetable Dumplings, Diced Chicken with Chili & Pepper, Fish in Chili Oil & Bean Sprouts & Stir-fried rice noodles with chicken. Everything tasted great. Will definitely come back!!

One of my favorite Asian restaurants in Hampton Roads. Authentic Sichuan cuisine at its finest and wonderful service in a newly renovated space. Seriously you must try the dumplings.

Driving into the parking lot, I had low expectations due to the strip-mall vibe. However, I was thoroughly impressed by the meal I had for dinner. We especially loved the wonton in chili oil, fried eggplant, and crispy chicken w/ chili and pepper. We also ordered the sesame chicken and the crispy duck (both were really good). The only dish that was not my favorite was the vegetable dumplings. The Sapporo was also a large can and was chilled, which was awesome. I will definitely go back.

Solid. Great food. The General Tsos is amazing. Feels like any dish you order here would be very good. Definitely try the soup dumplings.
