Found this little gem by accident after finding out Surfriders was closed for the season. Didn't think much about the place when I first walked in but this place blew me away!!! The food was from a different world! We had grilled octopus, vegetable lasagna, and a crab cake. I couldn't be happier. It was the best crab cake I've ever eaten. The octopus was cooked to perfection. The vegetable lasagna was rich and equisite. My new favorite place to eat in VA Beach!!
I'm not some wanna be food critic, and rarely post reviews at all. This place has been a favorite of mine for years but tonight made me grab the phone. Oyster stew was one of the best dishes I've ever had. The paella is always fantastic, and authentic. But on a cold winter evening, the oyster stew brought it home. The French onion special also was nothing short of excellent. 5 stars is the absolute least I could do. Support this local gem, you'll be lucky you did.

We came in around 830 on May 27th, to celebrate our elopement. The restaurant has a relaxing ambiance. The bartender was authentic and easygoing. Fellow patrons were cool and vibrant. Oyster Rockefeller and dumplings were DELICIOUS!!! Drinks were awesome. Check it out!
We like to eat and we like to eat good food. From the cocktails to the appetizers, to the entrees to the desserts, Eat put out amazing fare!
I've had the $50 burger at another local restaurant and the Hasselhof put it to shame.

Cute, trendy restaurant with outstanding food and wonderful service! The parking situation is a little iffy - we ended up parking at our hotel several blocks down and walking rather than trying to navigate where we were/were not allowed to park on the street. But it was 100% worth it! Highly recommend this restaurant - everything we had was delicious (iron seared filet of beef, vegetable lasagna, and a mushroom and brie pizza as a starter). We will definitely be back when we return to Virginia Beach in the future!

Visited for the first time yesterday and can’t wait to return. Such a great meal! Definitely recommend the charcuterie board, also with their bread. The paella is amazing! And so were the deviled eggs. All the flavors went so well together!
We had a great meal. Chef Eric loves creating awesome experiences with delicious ingredients. My son caught 55 inch Cobia on our fishing trip. Eric and his team prepared our catch serving our party of 15 flawlessly. His sides are wonderful, I loved the Brussels sprouts. Chef and staff have an enthusiasm for food and service. The bistro is a short walk from @mariottoceanview.

The food is incredibly inventive and tasteful. I was surprised at just how savory the tuna bulgogi dish was. The paella comes in a massive dish so be prepared to take some home with you! Their drink specials are also quite good.
The only downside, which is certainly not the servers’ faults, is how backed up everything was.
An unassuming but high end restaurant tucked into the former motel lobby. The food is unique and delicious. The flavors are unlike what is found in the surrounding VA beach area. We love the cocktails and the wings. Parking is tough so plan accordingly. If the weather is nice, would recommend requesting an outdoor table which gives you a peak at the beach.

This cute little spot is right nice to the new nice Marriott hotel at the Ocean Front. I reserved a table for my husband and I on Open Table. We arrived early and they were still able to seat us immediately. It is nice small intimate restaurant. We had good service and the menu seemed very good. I had a hard time deciding what to eat.
I was disappointed in the drinks. I ordered a Lavender Lentini because it was one of their special drinks. I did not like it! So the server took it and gave me a Prosecco which tasted cheap and flat.
Our appetizer was the "Fire and Ice" it was tuna tataki. It was the best thing I had tasted at the restaurant. I think I would come back and eat only this. So I highly recommend ordering it.
My husband ordered the salmon special and I ordered grilled tuna buigoigi. My husband enjoyed his salmon, however my grilled tuna buigoigi with rice was overly sauced with what tasted like soy sauce. I couldn't finish my dish it was just too saucy.
We ordered something from the dessert menu that had toffee flavored and ice cream. That was pretty delicious.
I had to use the restroom and was caught off guard that the restroom was in the back, outside of the restaurant. It was freezing to go from the back door out to the bathroom. It is also one one single bathroom for everyone to use. The bathroom was shockingly clean.
Overall, I didn't love my dish or my drinks which is what kept me from rating this place a 5 star.
We had seen this little bistro on many visits but never eat there. We would recommend it. It’s small and intimate and has also a little bar area.
We decided to eat outside as the dining area smelled musty and ate on their little patio instead. The food was interesting and delicious and we where told that the chef had been there for 16 years!
The restrooms are by the pool outside the restaurant but clean and well kept. Good service and tasty food.
We had dinner at Eat and it was a nice experience. The food was very good and interesting! They get creative in the kitchen which is refreshing :) It's a bit pricey but all the ingredients were very fine quality and fresh.
Although you can't see the beach from the outdoor seating, this fine dining restaurant was an experience in itself. From the delicious food to the fabulous drinks, this restaurant is a must for those who enjoy a fine dining experience. We will be back.

Service was exceptional, including the host and bartender (Chad), and our server Alex was just perfect. Her recommendations based on my likes were spot on. She knew when to leave us alone and when to have a conversation. She added to a already amazing dining experience.
Again, food and service is to die for. Stop looking elsewhere.

Everything was delicious! We had the chef’s special, which was a pork chop with apple butter. So good. Waiter was very friendly and helpful with our wine choice. Definitely want to go again and try some of the other things on the menu!
Amazing presentation! The chef is INCREDIBLE. The food is outstanding in a cozy, warm environment with great service. I can't wait to come back to Virginia just so I can eat here again
Best meal we had in Virginia Beach. Really appreciate how hard the staff worked to keep my son safe (serious food allergies).
