Excellent Service - Mario, our server, patiently listened, was attentive, and accommodated everyone’s request. As for the food, it was delicious and flavorful. The homemade salsa had a nice kick to it.

The succulent pork taco plate is delicious along with the very tasty black beans and rice. Not impressed with the margaritas though. They taste fine but I get more of a buzz with Tecate. Just get a beer with your food and you'll have a good meal.

There are very few gems that operate in the suburbs that are as unique and as heartfelt as Montecasino. A mix of American and Mexican cuisine that is consistently delicious and appropriately priced for the quality you receive over a fair variety of food options. There are any number of other throw together storefront venues that provide massive amounts of low-grade burritos and tacos, but I challenge you to find a location that can make you Milanese de pollo or devil grilled shrimp. Chicken lightly crispy on the outside and succulent juicy on the inside, mashed potatoes perfectly buttered and seasoned with a melt in your mouth texture, homemade guacamole, and all paired with a Cabernet, you can’t find a better location in the western suburbs. The whole restaurant is fairly roomy with three dining rooms and a number of hardwood tables offering abundant legroom. Seating can be sparse, though, as this is a particularly popular destination especially on weekends although it is well worth a reservation. Each dining room is set beautifully amongst a colorful backdrop of bright orange and fun Latin decorations. They carry the south western theme well, all while maintaining a high level of customer service. The owner himself, Mario, is a regular fixture here, traveling from table to table and making sure that everybody is happy with their meals or just to chat. A particularly surprising, and very welcomed, approach to restaurant management. I don’t see that very often at locations that don’t have corporate overlords. The whole restaurant has a great layout, and is rigorously cleaned and organized from the bar, to the bathrooms. This is definitely a place to bring visiting relatives, or a first date. While there are TVs in the background they are not turned on so loud as to drown out conversation. The whole atmosphere here is wonderfully cordial and friendly; cultivating a real sense of comradely. Conclusion: The food is magnificent, and while not cheap is certainly affordable and appropriate with a variety that will definitely bring you back. The wait staff and management are all warm and attentive to each table, whole restaurant is pristine and lovingly kept; a true family owned business. I rarely come across such outstanding service and quality, and heartily recommend this place for all types and events.

The food was Great. Service was Excellent New Management has made a huge difference in the atmosphere and upgraded the food. It was a little slow but that should change as people realize it's a much better restaurant. Don't forget those delicious Taco Tuesday deals

The chef here really knows his stuff. Loved the chips and salsa. Great food. It is the little extras that make this place stand out. City style cooking with great native music in the background.

My absolute favorite mexican restaurant and probably one of my top favorite restaurants. If you haven't gone - you need to because their food is amazing. Service is always friendly and quick and I absolutely love the shrimp poblano. Margaritas are also delicious. Want to also give a special thank you to the kindest blonde waitress who always remembers us (I'm terrible with names even though I always ask!). The salsa that comes with the chips is also different every time and is out of this world. I would also recommend their burritos and the queso hongo. No idea how they make the black beans and mexican rice so good too but everything is always amazing and I'm so glad they're so close to our home. We've been dining with them since their first location and at the always pleased with everything.

I only eat chimichangas when I go out for Mexican, and this was by far the best chimi I've ever eaten. Service was excellent, the restaurant was very clean and newly remodeled. (Picture excludes the garnish... I hate lettuce lol). If I'm ever back in Chicago, I'll be back for another chimi 🤩

No longer Montecasino. Now under new ownership. This is El Barrio III - and the food is good. Menu is very small compared to Montecasino and the margarita is disappointing.
