Huddle House

Went there to eat breakfast yesterday 3/7/22 and there was only one employee. Poor woman had to do everything. Take orders..cook..dishes the whole nine. She was kind enough to not close down and still try and make the customers that were there happy. We left a tip without ordering any food. She deserves a raise BIG TIME!!!!!

I usually love to order breakfast from this location and have become very friendly with a couple of the waitresses, however, today blew it out of the water. I'll preface this by saying that this location has been struggling with keeping employees and having staff available for proper operation. They still try to hang in there BUT this morning I came in to place a 'to go order' and was turned away bc the one and only cook available (who was also the manager apparently) had "too many orders to catch up with" so they were turning anyone and everyone else away! THAT is the worst possible business model I have EVER WITNESSED! ! I responded that I would be totally fine with leaving my number and leaving to wait however long it may take to get to my order. I was flatly told "no". Although I try to remain understanding of the issues plaguing this location, I am completely disappointed and shocked that a restaurant would straight up TURN CUSTOMERS AWAY. Seems a little better to at least offer to serve and make clear that it could be a very long wait, thus letting the customer choose to stay our go.... wow, just WOW

I just happen to be employed at the Vidalia huddle house and I just wanted to take a minute of my time to tell my regular customers how very much I love them. I love my job and some days it's gets really hard and stressful but my customers are what make me keep my head up and keep smiling through it all. And my joy and happiness comes straight from the Lord. So if anyone is in the Vidalia area please stop in and see me. God bless.
