We really enjoyed our dinner last week. The building is cozy and inviting inside with a really nice outside patio with open and covered areas and nice views. We decided to eat on the patio and met several house guests (aka cats) while chatting. Service was excellent, friendly, and attentive.
The food was the real surprise - excellently prepared and nicely presented. My Togarashi Tuna was extremely tasty and a nice mixture of flavors and textures. My friend's Salmon Patillo was given very high marks for flavor and preparation. Kudos to the chef. Nicely done.
A beautiful diamond absolutely worth going a bit out of your way for. This was by far the best meal I have had in ages! The wood smoked salmon was to die for...also don't pass on desert! The salted caramel cheesecake I will taste for weeks!
I travel every week to different areas of the country for work. Every 3 months I end up in Victoria, TX and I make it a point to always eat at The Pump House. It has consistently great service, amazing appetizers (steak bruschetta!) and fantastic entrees. Thanks again for a great experience!
Had lunch here today and really enjoyed the food. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. The view from the outside seating is beautiful.
We started off with the always so yummy fried Mac and cheese balls. For the main dish, I had the spicy pecan crusted chicken. This is my go to entree. Everyone in our party loved their food. Service was polite and did it miss a beat. The atmosphere and history behind the “pump house” just added to the experience. I like sitting outside on the patio when it’s not to hot. I highly recommend the pump house you will not be disappointed.
Great food and location. Spicy pecan crusted chicken is a must. Also ahi nachos were really good. Cats do not bother you at all. And you can sit inside if you are allergic to them
Older place and seemed pretty quiet. Food was great! Had their seasonal Salmon dish and the fried green tomatoes. Would visit again with friends. Staff was helpful and made recommendations to go with meals!

Atmosphere is fantastic.. has outside covered sitting by the river and heat source when chilly. For the exquisite atmosphere and high cost the degree of food could be much better. Great specialties on menu yet like the fruit served had part of the rind and not the best fresh fruit choices. Would still highly recommend
Exquisite historic atmosphere. A gem in Victoria TX. Beautiful grounds. We were a large group of 12. Had the private room with glass floors that revealed the original pumping station. Excellent service. The food I had was very well prepared. Would recommend if you live in Victoria or just passing through.
A very serendipitous find for us in Victoria! An old pump house beautifully converted into a restaurant with great outdoor seating that overlooks the river. Service was attentive and friendly and the food was very well prepared and excellent. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly breaded with a crispy coating that stayed out when I bit into a nicely seasoned slide with the acidic bite being perfectly fresh yet decadent (the mayo and cheese on top is unnecessary imho). Salads were fresh and the asked for side proteins were perfectly cooked with the pecan crusted chicken definitely on the OMG good category! Desert of pecan pie was good but somehow a slight letdown with the lack of pecans but still good. Absolutely excellent service complemented everything. On our recommendation list!!

Chicken sandwich was massive and not too heavily breaded. Sweet potatoe fries were great. Nice outdoor seating area and westher was great. Fast and friendly service.
The Pumphouse Riverside Restaurant is a lunch favorite and is a staple of casual yet sophisticated dining is this quaint small town. The pecan crusted chicken was the winner this go around. Enjoy your surroundings and try something new on the menu. Sorry there aren’t any photos in this review, I just started digging in and was deep in conversation that it slipped my mind.
