Love this place!! Whether I have the pizza, or lasagna, or salad, I start the meal with the pepitas. The food is excellent!! I dream about the pepitas, love them!! Service is always great, with friendly and helpful staff. They have a great place, I love going here!!!
We tried Sugar River Pizza (about 30 minutes from my home) when I wanted to go somewhere I'd never been before for my birthday...and I loved it! They got us seated in a shorter time than expected and we got to eat on the patio, which I preferred. We had an appetizer of breadsticks with goat cheese and marinara that was delicious and served quickly. We ordered two speciality pizzas, one that was half and half and the "big mac" pizza, which was phenomenal. The loaded baked potato pizza was also a hit. And the portions were so big, we had enough leftovers for another full meal at home the next day. Service was very friendly and she did a great job! When she found out it was my birthday, she even brought us complimentary cinnamon nuggets that were amazing! We will definitely go back!
My wife, a bunch of friends of ours and I were in here yesterday to review this place for our Pizza group that we call Mad City Pizza Tours. We go around to non-chain pizza places around the Madison area and rate them based on a variety of factors. I’m happy to say that Sugar River currently has the highest rating that we have ever given. We rate the places based on a variety of factors. I’m happy to say that Sugar River Pizza Co earned a near perfect score with 9.8/10 which is almost unheard of. We can’t wait to come back and try some of your other food.
Service was great as was the food. The gourmet pizza was yummy! I had the special - chicken, blue cheese, fresh mushroom and cherry tomato 10inch. Enough for me and to have leftovers. Enjoyed the craft beer selection.
Soooooo goooood!! Everything is from local sources and tastes amazing. The Bloody Mary I had there was THE best I have ever had. This place is somewhere you have to...need to go for some delicious food and the staff there were really nice and fun.

Chicken Alfredo pizza was AMAZING! Best I've every had! Entire cloves of garlic on that baby! Huge beer selection (and a few Irish Cows for St Pats day). Our waiter was great even when it was super busy. Definitely worth going.
my wife and i ate here tonight july 7, 2018, it was the bomb, had the mac and cheese with pulled pork, wife had 10" pizza she liked very much, we liked it very much as we don't have a sugar river pizza in des moines, iowa.
We visited this place last Friday after visiting New Glarus Brewery. We loved the New Glarus Beer, but needed food and tried this place out.
We are from the Chicago area and I can tell you, Sugar River was as good as any Chicago Pizza Joint. We had great service from Rita and Deb, the owner, was awesome.
We will be back!
Me and my husband went here on a Saturday night. It was our first time and let me say, the food was OUT STANDING, the appetizers we're also over the top. Our server, he was so attentive, knew about the food, offered size suggestions. (Sadly I was so deep at looking at the menu, I did miss his name.) However he made our first time experience superb. I got the chicken parmesan, my husband got a split pizza, bread and goat cheese, and buffalo boneless wings. Everything I tried the flavor profile, just 10/10! We plan to frequent this restaurant, quite often.
I went w a friend during dinner time and got a table with in ten minutes. There was plenty of parking right outside and the building is nice. We sat inside but there is a patio. The servers were polity and knew the menu very well. We got chicken wings as an app and they came out amazing. The wings were golden and perfectly crispy. Also not breaded which I prefer. We got two pizzas split into four different specialty topping for a little extra $ but well recomended. I would definitley suggest sugar river pizza to anyone looking for a delicious and affordable option to chain restaurants.
As out of town visitors we had a great experience here. It was early dinner time so not as crowded as expected and still in time for happy hour. The bartender/waitress recommended the special “old fashions” which came quickly and really whet the appetites. Our chicken BBQ pizza was cheesy and the sauce smokey and satisfying. This would be a regular stop when we come to town.
Had chicken florentine soup and the Reubens sandwich. Both were very good. Also had the SRB Brandy Old Fashioned which was okay. The atmosphere was a nice Italian theme. The staff was very friendly and attentive.
Sugar River Pizza has the BEST taco pizza I have ever tasted! So delicious. I will definitely go there again. Great selection of beer also.
Did online order and curbside pickup. Everything worked easy and smoothly. Got the sugar creek meat lovers and it was phenomenal. Great flavor, crispy crust, just plain awesome. Also got the local mix beer 6 pack which was a unique offering. Loved all of the beers that were included.
Definitely a good value for your buck. We ordered wings, fries, pizza and cheese bread just for 2. We wanted to try a little bit of everything and figured the portions were going to be small. We definitely got a lot more food than we needed.
Definitely a great value. The service was amazing and the waiter was attentive as well. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone. It was also nice to have TVs to watch the games.
