Everything we got was good, service was good as well. Decent sized portions on everything. Only slight issue I had was with the Teriyaki Trio, said it came with Shrimp but only had 2 small shrimp total. If you're gonna advertise Shrimp as part of an entree it should definitely have more than 2.
Always enjoy a great and hearty meal at the Vernon Diner with family or friends. Reasonable prices for huge entrees and great milkshakes!
The meatloaf is great, steak ends, and the parmigiana too (veal, chicken). It’s a place we always return too happily.
Plus it’s near the Dzen tree farm so perfect post Christmas tree lunch/dinner place!
Delicious food in a wonderful diner atmosphere. Large portions and quick service. The home fries are the best I've had in a long time. Will be back for sure.
This diner is AWESOME! No matter what the time of day or night that your hunger kicks in, Vernon's homemade dishes have you covered! There are so many different types of food to choose from - Breakfast, lunch dinner or dessert -deciding what to eat not be an easy task.
We ordered from the Breakfast portion of the menu in the middle of the afternoon. The Bella Nutella French toast was absolutely to die for! The Challah bread made it such a treat! We also ordered the Red, White and Blue Belgium waffle which was delightfully delicious with fresh fruit and whipped cream, as well as the Elvis Waffle with fresh fruit, ice cream, PEANUT BUTTER whipped cream with crumbled bacon...OMG!!!
I say "Get one of everything if you can't decide! Any time, day or night....they got something to feed YOUR appetite!
Sept 2021. Had breakfast here 2x just this weekend and both times excellent food and service. I had no idea that this place was so good. The portions are good, prices are very reasonable, food comes out hot, the coffee is not watered down, and we got lucky with good service. Ample parking, indoor and outdoor seating, quick service. I've never ordered their cakes but there's a glass display of many delicious looking desserts. Mouth watering. Will have to try this place for dinner one of these nights. Enjoy!
It's a busy diner! Expect a wait when going in but they are quick to get you to a table. All staff is friendly and polite. They work hard to keep things moving. Food comes quickly! Lots of cakes, pies and desserts in their old fashioned dessert case. Definitely a true diner experience.
My only feedback would be that I wish they had more gluten free options besides toast/bread.
