Quite possibly the best coffee I've ever ground and drank, and from a company that has more integrity than any other company I've ordered from. I am happy to say that Beacon does not disappoint, and I am very hard to please when it comes to coffee.
This was a great find! Off the beaten path but worth it! Great vibe! Great coffee! We took a bag of beans with us to get us to the next visit. Whenever we visit Ventura from now on... this is our coffee stop!
Truthfully some of the best coffee drinks, espresso and cold brew nitro I have ever had. I have been part of the coffee collective for some time and Jennifer and John Never cease to amaze me with their creative, unique coffee bean blends.
Coming from Melbourne (Australia), this has to be some of the best coffee we've had in SoCal. Beacon Ojai is our regular, but just checked out the flagship in Ventura. These guys are the real deal when it comes to coffee!

The coffee is quite good- on the pricier side but worth it… as long as it’s to go.
I ordered a $4 coffee of the day (plus tip)for here, and I brought my laptop to get some work done for an hour or so. Went to plug in my laptop and there were no outlets anywhere… I asked the barista if there was anywhere I could plug in and she said no. Super bummed to take my coffee to go and be left looking for somewhere else to get some work done.
I understand people camp out at shops for too long without continuing to support said business, but that was not what I was planning to do. Guess I’ll have to find a different place to frequent. :(

This place is a hidden gem for coffee. If you enjoy good coffee, then look no further. The coffee is roasted in house and sometimes, you can even see them roasting the beans while you wait.
I had their specialty coffee this time and it was an orange chocolate blend. It tasted like that orange flavored chocolate ball. It was scrumptious. Yes. I said scrumptious. I thought I would never say that about coffee.

Probably the best $3 coffee you can find. They do a rotating “coffee of the day” for $3.25. They use their own beans and it’s an automated pour over. Pretty good.
The location is a little isolated. If you feel like you might be going to their headquarters or warehouse by accident, you’re going the right way.
Beacon coffee is a treat on those mornings I find myself in Ventura.
The coffee selection is simple and precisely prepared.
The staff are friendly and helpful.
More recently, I have found that the pastry offerings are always delicious. Be it a muffin, a hand pie or a small tart, the selection has been different every time I visit. There is always a twist to the selection which makes the pastry unique and memorable.

You are the best among the rest! What I like about this coffee shop is that they really got my taste when it comes to coffee and pastries. It is not that sweet, and that is perfect.
