I have had a craving for lobster bisque and this totally hit the spot! Who knew I'd satisfy that urge in Ventura, California?! There was only one size available and this was a very generous bowl. I had the fettuccine al ragu and it was freshly made pasta. It was cooked perfectly al dente with plenty of bolognese. I was offered fresh parmesan shredded over my plate at the table. I had enough left over to take home after eating the lobster bisque. We also ordered the risotto con pollo e funghi and it came out steaming hot. Again, the rice was cooked perfectly al dente. Lastly, we ordered the creme brulee and the Winter Wonderland drink for dessert. Unfortunately, they didn't have the liqueur for the drink and our waitress suggested I get an avocado martini instead. I was skeptical, but the server said she would drink it if we didn't. Believe it or not, the avocado martini was delicious! Made with vanilla vodka, mango rum, lemon, lime, and half an avocado this martini is definitely different but I'd do it again. We were really lucky they were open on Christmas Eve, too!

Cafe Fiore was very busy on our recent Monday night visit. This was our first time eating at this restaurant. The decor and atmosphere are very charming and the booths were comfortable. We received complimentary bread and focaccia that came with a tasty and unique dipping sauce. We were glad they brought us a second serving because the wait service was extremely slow. We had some challenges with our wine selections (first choice wasn't available, and our server then brought the wrong bottle after we made our second selection). Our appetizer and entrees were tasty and the portions were very generous. Overall it was a good experience and we would return in the future if we were in the mood for an Italian meal

Liked the menu, good pizza but no sauce, pasta is made from scratch. Really liked the ambience on the side patio. Chocolate molten cake was rich/good but they don't give enough cream to balance it out.

Overall good. Calamari appetizer was good. Fettuccine with Filet Mignon was excellent (first served was overcooked, but quickly replaced). Ran out of fish special. Out of the wine we ordered. Staff was very courteous. Will go back again.

Once the waiter showed up, he did a good job, but the roaming helper was very attentive throughout the evening. Most of the food was great, including the gnocchi, which my daughter declared to be the best she's had in a very long time. My martini was excellent, and the least expensive Coppola Pinot Noir was delicious. Donna Greene and the Roadhouse Daddies jazz group was wonderful. Their first gig in 15 months. We lucked out! All in all, it was an enjoyable evening at Café Fiore.

Great spot for a date night or large family gathering. This is a fabulous and fancy italian restaurant. The complimentary bread was incredibley soft and addicting. The bread was so good I even ordered more with my spaghetti!
