I’m visiting Ventnor for the first time, staying right around the corner, and found this place my first day. The food is so good that I keep coming back — so far I’ve had the turkey club, banana bread French toast, banana split, an ice cream cone, and now I’m back for oatmeal and fresh fruit. Great little place!
Quaint little cafe with plenty of outdoor seating. We came for dinner and food was average but the real shiner is the ice cream! Their ice cream is rich, creamy and absolutely delicious. Plenty of street parking in the neighborhood.
John and Agnes really hit it out of the park with this place...the food and the ice cream are both amazing. Not to mention the incredible water ice flavors. The pricing is great and the staff is attentive.
The food and desserts are great and so is the service, I think it is really good and whenever I go it’s always delicious, I’ve never had a bad meal here. Definitely recommend
This cafe is such a gem! We stopped by for icecream last night and saw they had a full menu too for food! We came for breakfast and it was phenomenal 😊 breakfast portions were huge and very reasonably priced! We will be coming back 😃
Fantastic food and amazing owners. Everything here is the best you can find in the area. Try the Italian Ice and soft serve combos.
I had one mission today and that was to get soft serve vanilla with rainbow sprinkles in a waffle cone. I can't speak for anything else on the menu but if you too seek this delicacy then you won't be disappointed!
Always come for breakfast. It's in Ventnor NJ. Away from the casinos.
Always friendly and personable service. The food is scrumptious! We have enjoyed everything from breakfast sandwiches to salads to the dinners which are all freshly prepared and so very delicious! The ice cream is so creamy and just absolutely satisfying! My son loves the water ice!!
Terrific homemade ice cream and treats as well as delicious breakfasts. Personable and pleasant staff who provided prompt efficient service. Had the best breakfast sandwich on a freshly prepared light and flaky bisket. Ice cream portion tonight was very generous any really good. I will definitely be back; good freshly made food and reasonable prices, who could ask for anything more?
Love this little place, but I admit I loved the homemade ice cream and water ice the owners made when they ran Mento's, and the breakfast fare was always exceptional at their Carisbrooke Inn. Popped in while in town and ordered a turkey club and Greek chicken salad and, as usual, delish!! Fresh roasted Turkey with ripe tomato and crisp bacon on the club and the salad was plentiful, fresh and the lemon dressing was new to me but complimented nicely with the feta cheese and olives. Go, enjoy, and return often.

We ordered takeout several times as well as eaten your delicious ice cream.
The person on the phone who took our order was very efficient and everything was correct when we picked it up and in the time period she told us it would be.
I had the Crab Cake Dinner and it was very good and plentiful.
There was basically no fillers and it came with a side salad and 2 vegetables.
I saved the 2bd Crab Cake to eat for lunch.
I ordered various meals for 5 people and we all enjoyed what we ate.
No dinner is complete without returning for some wonderful ice cream which we did!

Been coming to the Charisbrooke for over 20 years. Clean rooms friendly staff and great location. Their North Beach Cafe has excellent homemade ice cream and ices. They make an authentic Matzo ball soup as good as mom’s.. a great place for breakfast lunch dinner or a snack.
Great little coffee shop and cafe in Ventnor. Beautiful outdoor seating. Very reasonably priced. Delicious food. Kind staff offering excellent service. Highly recommend for breakfast, lunch, dinner or ice cream!
