Review Sapore Restaurant & Wood Fire Pizza - Ventnor City

Had dinner last night at Sapori. Our server was Jo and she was excellent. We started with a calamari app which was served hot and plentiful. I had the bone in Veal chop parm and my wife had the chicken franchise. Both were delicious. Will come back.

Showed up with a party of 9 and was greeted and seated immediately. Our waiter was so nice and friendly. We brought a couple bottles of champagne to make mimosas and he popped them for us and brought over champagne flutes. Food was delicious and restrooms were clean 👌 highly recommended this place if you’re in the area and craving some good pizza or giant subs.

Food was awesome especially the capellini with mushroom sauce. We actually made a return visit to order it again. We also liked the calamari and pasta with oil and garlic as we used the bread to soak up the juices. We had an excellent attentive server on our first visit and a really bad server (East European?) on our second visit hence the rating. We had trouble getting her attention to make our order and pay our check. I also personally stacked our dirty dishes on another table to get them out of the way. I expect better when paying over $100 for a three-person dinner. I am wondering why they only had one server on the floor with no back-up support. Where was the manager?

We ordered one 16 inch (large) pizza. Pizza wasn't bad. We paid $16.99 for pizza. Although the price of the pizza is reasonable, all the other prices in the menu are very expensive. Not worth going to this classy restaurant. Service was not bad. But it could be better. Cleanliness is medium. You can prefer this as a restaurant that is open until late hours in the vicinity.

Mmm My man and I stopped by Sapore in Ventnor to satisfy our sweet tooth. The restaurant was packed with dining inside and out. They had numerous waiters and waitress as far as I could tell and we're about to be assisted as soon as we walked up (even with it packed both in & out). The reviews we read are so true, the Tiramisu's are delicious. Tasty , creamy ,sweet. The liquor and 2 layers of lady fingers are laid in the most delicious way. I highly recommend if you go here, get dessert.

We’ve eaten here twice now and the food is delicious! Love that it’s a BYOB. The staff is amazing!!! The manager heard me say that the cheesecake looked “so good” when she was bringing it out for another table, so she gave us a free piece of cheesecake! It was soooooo nice of her. We’ll be back! Great place!

Great food at a good price. The staff is very friendly and courteous. The fried flounder was very tasty.

Marion our server yesterday (Saturday, Sept. 10th) was remarkable. We had our pre triathlon dinner here. The pasta dishes were yummy especially the penne in vodka sauce with chicken. Our server though provided dinner and a show. She was a wonderful human being, great sense of humor, and such a wonderful server.

Always delicious food - a little sad that the usual seeded bread has been changed - the chicken francese, chicken florentine and chicken fantasia are splendid. Sometimes we just come here for some spaghetti and meatballs and occasionally we order a veggie pizza takeout. All delicious. Even the pre-dinner salad is always fresh and delicious. The tiramisu is excellent but the cold, layered chocolate mousse cake, not so terrific. Above all, MaryAnn is the greatest server ever!!!!

Overall we had a great experience! Our server was great! The salad and bread came out super fast along with the meal! Everything was very delicious!

Reservation were not honored timely, but eventually we were seated. Service was ok, probably why there were seating issues. Pizza and entrees were all good and well prepared.

Excellent family business. Very respectful. Great food. Nice size portions. Will be back !

SAPORE restaurant is directly on the corner of Ventnor & Newport Avenues in Ventnor City. It has both indoor & outdoor dining, excellent food, a friendly staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. If you have a special someone in your life, treat them to a 'Date Night', & enjoy some classically famous dishes. I have included photos of several different portions of the restaurant, both inside and outside. It has a tasteful decor, pleasant music, ( without being loud or overbearing) and plenty of seating options, depending on your party size. I have also included photos of the full dinner menu, so anyone can see what might appeal to them. The food is excellent; I got a classic Philadelphia Sausage, Pepper, & Onion sandwich on a hoagie roll- Hot and Perfect!! They have 2 coolers with a wide selection of bottled drinks, as well as fountain sodas, etc. The outdoor tables have a nice ambiance at night, with small lights strung above the tables. With every restaurant struggling right now, trying to recover from the Pandemic, try to tip well; a few extra dollars can mean the whole world to a hard-working waiter or waitress. Most of all, enjoy your visit!! Ventnor City also has free concerts every Saturday all summer at the corner of Newport Avenue & the Boardwalk. This is only a 2-block walk from SAPORE'S restaurant. Make a night of it!!

Food was good overall but received baked potato with large black spot. Waiter was. Not attentive to his customers although other waiters seemed to be.

My wife and myself had lunch here the other day. My panini was excellent. Highly recommend!
