Great stop with those with kids. Lots of room to run and enjoy the outdoors. The front is great for parents and kids to learn history of the 1800 fur trade. Staff was great and knowledgeable. Air museum was closed saddly. Wife loved the garden so if wanting to see this, plan on time of year accordin
Great depiction of the history of the people, the fort, and Vancouver. **Must watch the amazing movie in the visitors center first, for a full understanding of the history.
A great NPS unit if you’re into local history (and history in general). The visitor center and gift shop are open, as are the grounds. Most of the buildings, including the air museum are closed. We were able to tour the “big house” and even got a quick custom tour by the employee who was fabulous. A
Great walk! Free apples! Fort was 10 bucks. Declined. Gift shop is a tad pricy, yet had great selection of original things, picked up a fire starter kit.
Nice place for walks and learn history Beautiful views too Recommend visiting
Great place to visit especially during the summer months when the garden is in full bloom. Well maintained, and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Wonderful to visit and gain a historical perspective about the area.
A must see. Amazing staff, beautiful landscape and facilities. If you have an hour to kill, totally worth stopping by for a quick history lesson while in the area. You can definitely spend more than an hour here but we watched the movie and did a self guided tour for the 4 building open during Covid
So many trails and great historical references along the way. We hike this everyday and have enjoyed the quality of the national site and the beautiful flowers and forage. Peaceful!
