We only get the chance to go there once a year, and LOVE it *every* time! The service is great! They still have FREE tea! (Many Chinese restaurants now charge you for tea.) They always keep the food trays filled. If it gets empty, it is quickly replaced or filled. I love their sweet and sour pork, walnut shrimp, prawns, pot stickers, ribs (the meat melts in your mouth), cheese won tons, teriyaki chicken, etc! We always look forward to our favorite desert of Green Tea ice cream! This latest trip we went by, and there was no Green tea ice cream in the freezer, so I asked if they were out. They kindly checked, and said yes, they had some in back. The waitress took two ice cream cups and filled them for us! :) They also have an indoor 'fountain', with lots of Koi. Please don't feed the fish! (There's a HUGE white one that looks like it could eat your hand!) For those who like sports, they do have a couple of large screen TVs. (We always ignore the TVs, since we have no interest in sports.) They have seating to accommodate almost any size of party, but if you have a HUGE group of people, you may want to call in advance. We like to just have tea and water with our meal, but they do have a nice selection of sodas and alcoholic drinks.
Prices run about average for the current buffet or Chinese food restaurants. We go for buffet lunch, which is $8.95 each, for adults.
There's plenty of convenient parking, and sometimes you meet some really cool people there. (We ran into a friendly motorcycle club this last trip.) This restaurant is RIGHT ON the main road! (Well, not in the middle of it, but you know what I mean.) You don't need to go hunting for it! As long as you are on the main highway, you can find it!
So, if you are passing through Valley Springs, or live there, be sure to go check it out!
BTW - I hope they NEVER get the CRAPPY "frozen yogurt" junk that our local Chinese buffet has! KEEP the ice cream! If you are afraid of germs, then you really shouldn't be eating from a "buffet" in the first place!
While I enjoy many of the food items at Good Friends Chinese Buffet, my favorite is by far their sushi bar. I absolutely love sushi and always make sure to eat my fill when we come to this restaurant. I cannot recommend their sushi highly enough.
The lunch buffet has delicious food, large amount of choices. They have all the standard Chinese dishes, plus more, and above outstanding flavors. I especially loved the jalapeño pork, something new for me. And it was nice ending my meal with green tea ice cream. The waitresses were pleasant and attentive. Very nice place to go with reasonable prices.
One of our absolute favorite places. Decided to treat the daughter today and she loved it. The fresh wrap spring rolls were perfect.
This is by far, the best Chinese food restaurant that I've eaten at in the last 25 yrs. The staff is super attentive and they do their best to provide quality assurance. I've never left there hungry and for the amount of food the price can not be beat. They even have ice cream for desert. If you like Chinese food you'll absolutely love this place.
Without a doubt the best Chineese buffet around. You can dine in, they have a nice sized dining room, or take it to go. There a wide variety of foods to choose from, I'm partial to the pot stickers, orange and general chicken, but everything is yummy. They give you a good sized to go container and you help yourself. I won't hesitate to recommend Good Friends Chinese..
This is the best Chinese restaurant! The buffet is very fresh every time we go. The food is flavored and cooked perfectly. The egg foo yung is the only item that isn't up to the standard of their other dishes. I highly recommend Good Friends Chinese restaurant! Their price is low, the restaurant is very nice, clean, and seats a lot more people than a standard restaurant. The many people who work their are very friendly, courtious, always check on us, and keep the buffet filled with fresh food.

Visting some family a they recommend to eat here so We came right at 3pm an everything was restocked hot a fresh ! 100x better then the Chinese buffet we live next to everything is cold but this place nice an hot ! I like the selections they have an the sushi! Give it a try!
I love this Chinese food restaurant. The portion size is very large, and the food is always fresh. 👌 the best part of this experience is the waitresses. They always make me feel like family. 👍

This is one of my favorite Chinese buffets! Crab legs and salmon sashimi were excellent! All did was good. Dad liked the frog legs. Sometimes, they are slow to refill premium items. Atmosphere is somewhat dated, but feels like a throwback to Chinese buffets from my youth.
I really enjoyed the food and the service here. The employees were very friendly. Too friendly, maybe. The food was great as well, great selection. They had froglegs. It was First time i had it and it was great. 10/10

I had the buffet. Easiest option when doing a solo lunch. I liked the wide rice noodles and crab Rangoon.

We love Good Friends. The staff is amazing, the food is very good and the price is right! Whether we have a group of 4 or 20, they quickly take care of us and we always leave happy and full!

Always a delight to eat here. Last experience was unbelievable. They stayed open late to eat and made fresh food on the buffet that needed to be replaced if I wanted it. Truly lives up to the name good friends.
