Awesome food all around and great place to chat. Definitely putting on our regular stop map!
Very friendly, fantastic concept, yummy stuff!
I looooooved it,kept on changing my mind so mmuch to choose from
Love the food! It's so different and fresh. And the baked goods? Mmmmm
We just went to our first pop up and in less than 15 minutes have devoured almost half of what we bought.....the 2 quiches are gone, the 2nd popover is about to disappear and I can't wait to try the rest! Incredibly good!!!
Excellent service and everything is delicious! I love the salads !
Every time I order something, I don't think it can get any better than the time before... and every time it does! I love to go in and shoot the breeze with everyone, I love the samples, and suggestions of... "You gotta try this"! If after Maria posts the specials for the upcoming PopUp, I don't see something I wanted, all you have to do is ask...they may also be making one of your favorites!
Everything from the best homemade soups and croutons, to fantastically wonderful deserts and homemade bread, I can't say enough good about DBC!
Oh and FYI - Those "In the Know", know that you don't have to be first, second or third in line when they open... do what I do, I pre-order so I don't have to be there at the dawn's early light! I can wait until later in the day, confident that my order will be waiting for me when I get there!!!
Another 3 letter word for Dillon Bread Company... YUM!
Yesterday was my first time at Dillon Bread Company and I love it! Super friendly people make you feel right at home and the food is delicious! The biscotti is amazing and I fell in love with panforte scuro. The ginger cookies and snicker doodles couldn't be any better. In the morning I will try the fresh cinnamon loaf as French toast. Can't wait till the 22nd!!
Great people and food. Winning combo. Enjoy their breads - especially the rooti tutti one.
Always changing. Always wonderful. Everyone should run (not walk) to every one of their pop up events!
I especially loved their veggie sandwich.....but every single thing that they make is divine! Can't wait to visit their monthly pop-up.
DBC Artisan Kitchen is a kitchen that does many things. My favorite activity there is the twice bake sale, or "pop-up" bakery that happens there on every other Thursday. I get the scoop on their events from Facebook. They have been running a bakery for 25 years and their breads, sticky buns, cookies and pastries are excellent. Look em up, find a Thursday and drop in to meet two of the nicest folks and buy a loaf of bread, some jam, or any of they other items they have. You can pre-order through Facebook, or go early for the best selections. To quote Ferris, "I highly recommend it if you have the means..." Great spot.
Indeedy. I don't know how some businesses in this city manage to do it, but some are able to pull off the seemingly impossible: keep a business open in this city AND be good at what they do.
First off, this place is sorta hidden. I live in Vallejo and had no clue that we would always drive by this place without knowing. It's basically tucked inside a small plaza. If you're not careful, you'll drive right past it.
All ninja status aside, they make sandwiches here at the Dillon Bread Company. Really good sandwiches as a matter of fact. That's pretty darn important as, unlike say a Berkeley or an Oakland, there are not many (if at all, now that I think about it) straight up sandwich spots here in Vallejo. Sure, you have your chains like the ever present (and disgusting) Subway's and even a Togo's if you look hard enough, but... those are chains. You will never get something crafted by actual people, as opposed to devised by a corporation. It's not going to taste as fresh either. Anyways, they've got an impressive amount of sandwich options here. Two of my favs are the hot pastrami and a hot turkey sandwich I had there. Sandwiches are made right there, and not in some utilitarian manner either. The bread... I'm not sure if they make themselves? I've never asked, even though this place has the word "Company" at the end of their business name. Regardless, the breads here are wonderful and are not cheap in quality or taste as the chain competitors.
Service here is good too. I'm not sure how/why people are saying they've been met with rude customer service. I've gotten nothing but good service here. Friendly, reliable, and timely as well when it comes to preparation. Prices are also reasonable, considering the quality product you're getting here from a Vallejo-owned business. All in all, this is one of those spots here in the beloved city of mine that I hope never closes it's doors. Hopefully, other businesses can have as much success as they do. One here can only dream. It's a good dream though.
Absolutely great pop-up bakery.
They have an ever changing, delicious menu.
