Golden Wok - Urbana - Photo album

I came to Champaign for college in 2014 and stayed in town for 8 years until I moved out to LA. Gwok may not be the fanciest but there is something so comforting about their food. I’d choose Gwok over any Thai restaurant in LA. Whenever I’m in Champaign, I make sure I eat here at least once. My pers
Food is great. I would just expect more than what they served me when I paid close to $12 for an entree. I have been coming here for years and have never seen the portion size this tiny.
I started going to this restaurant in 2011 with a hope just to find okay Thai food as Urbana-Champaign are not big cities like Chicago where you can find authentic Thai food. But I was surprised how great the food was. I ordered Kana Moo Krob (Chinese broccoli with crispy pork belly) and three flavo
We ordered beef pad thai and shrimp fried rice. The food here is really good, and the guy at the register, who seem like the owner, was really nice and welcoming. It didn’t take that long to get our food.
Fabulous stop on drive to Iowa City. Got off for an oil change and spotted on the way. Friendly welcome and very tasty Pad Thai Shimp so good forgot to take a pic.
Cute little family restaurant serving a variety of Asian cuisines. The atmosphere is a little funky, but the food is always delicious and very affordable.
Delicious noodles & warm service. Will surely visit again!
By far one of my favorite places in town to get pad thai. Their other options are also excellent for the price. They always go the extra mile when you ask for special instructions. If you want something spicy, they aren't afraid to turn up the heat!
When I lived in CU, it was the first place I’d go. Ten years later, it’s still the first place I go when I’m back in town.
I get their Lunch special menu at least once a week, so I tried all of the dishes on the Lunch special menu. They all taste the same. Literally, there are 3 categories: 1) Red-food-color fried chicken 2) stir fry 3) Pad Thai. With no exaggeration, all of the lunch special menu fall into one of these
Really excellent food. The gentleman who may be the owner (I didn't ask) recommended a couple dishes for us to try as this was my first time. I must say, he has great taste in his own cooking. We had coffee and tea with sugar and cream; Thai iced tea and Thai iced coffee, I believe they were called
I've been here once; a friend recommended it. I ordered the Cashew Chicken and it was absolutely amazing. So, I personally love Thai food and I've had thai food from different restaurants and I can say that was one of the best Cashew Chicken I've had. It's also very filling and priced right. I'd rec
I love their customer service. I ordered from them through door dash. When my order arrived it was incorrect. I called them and they corrected my order and sent their own delivery drive with my correct order. They corrected it so quickly and efficiently….! And the food was great…
We ate Thai Food (noodles with beef and a stir-fry with garlic) which was pretty good and fresh. Take out waiting time was very short. They have nice weekly specials (6-7$), but charged 1 $ extra for eggplants in the stir-fry. Service was very friendly and helpful. Got fortune cookies with our meals
I frequent Golden Wok a lot. What's nice is that they recognize me, whether I order delivery or place a pick-up order. Always kind. The Laos Sausage is yummy and pairs well with fried rice. Golden Wok's yellow curry is one of the better curries in Champaign. My favorite dish is the Hainan Chicken! D
Very friendly and homey atmosphere. Extremely friendly owners and staff. Food is out of this world. Try their Pho noodle soup.
We have gone to Golden wok at least 20 times. It has been consistently delicious each and every time. The owners and staff make you feel cozy and they always remember what you want
