TravelinGrandma. Introduced to by our son and family when he was stationed in the Air Force here. We drive from Fort Worth on special occasions just to eat here. We have tried to find one closer to home but none compare. Recommend it without hesitation.
Best Thai in San Antonio! Everything on the menu we've had was great! Totally worth driving out of the way if you don't live in Live Oak. The food is delicious...you won't be disappointed!
Excellent food. A real treat. Prompt service. Highly recommend this place.
Excellent food. Have been impressed both times and look forward to returning soon.
Their panang curry was excellent! No small portion either. I will eat here again for sure. Nice people and fast service. A MUST TRY!!
Food has always been excellent. I've tried Pad Thai at numerous restaurants. They have some of the best. One thing I've noticed is that the service is not great. It seems that late in the evening when the owner is not around, the staff is quite inattentive.
Can't beat the green curry or the red duck curry. I've never dined in, it's always to go, so I can't speak for the service. The food is excellent, though!
Thai one on. This place will ruin you for all other Thai food in SA. There is a reason it's so popular. I'm a fan of the red curry chicken.
Yummy spring rolls & Pad Thai!. Get the fresh spring rolls, they're my favorite. The pad thai is the best I've had in SA.
Not Trendy...Just Really Good!. At first glance - the word that comes to mind is "Unassuming", so I wanted to eat here a couple of times before I threw my 2 cents in on it. When you first walk in, the basic room with some tables just seems sparse, but ordering a meal just makes that all go away. Man, has this been some enjoyable "Research"! This has got to be one of the fullest, most interesting and complete Thai menus I have seen. All the Americanized favorites are here of course, but has so much more. My favorites are the Phad Oyster Sauce, the Red Curry and the ever popular Thai Fried Rice, but if you really study the menu, you'll find some real hidden treats here that just aren't served at other Thai places and puts it in the "Most Authentic Thai Food" category for me. Mostly because the menu has so many authentic, traditional choices. And as each dish is prepared when ordered, you can customize. (I like to add mushrooms to the Phad Thai.) Service is friendly, fast and efficient. (Remember - each dish is made to order so if you only have 30 minutes for lunch, the little extra wait may be a problem) Prices are right in line for the quality and quantity of food served. As I'd said, the atmosphere is a little boring and its not as trendy a spot as say, Mon's Thai or Tong's Thai, but the food is every bit as good (if not better) and easily has more selections. This is just really, really good Thai food.
Best Thai in SA. By far the best curry and yum nua in town. Quality is amazing. I recommend outside of main lunch hours, as it can get crowded, and quality can suffer. That is only in comparison to itself. The quality of the food at lunch is still better thai than anywhere else in SA.
Very good, authentic Thai. Every dish my husband and i have tried has been terrific. We always start with the crispy spring rolls. He likes the wings or the pad thai or the Thai fried rice. I like the larb and the beef in red curry. The coconut ice cream is homemade and alone wirth a trip.
I haven't eaten a dish at this resturant that wasn't a hands down hit! The taste is worth enduring any dislike you may have toward decor and atmosphere.
It's was tarible don't try it
Food is excellent!. All you need to know is that the food will blow you away! I used to go twice a week. It has a definite asian mom & pop feel.
Everything is awesome. You can go with some of the more intense dishes or stay simple and get the chicken or beef fried rice. It's all good!
Their soups are great! And who knew - the potato soup they have on... Fridays, i think -- wow, just wonderful!
The service at Bangkok Cuisine is usually good, but I have been there some evenings where the tables are all full and the staff is busy trying to serve everyone and fill numerous take-out orders, so I suggest patience. The food is worth it.
Delicious Thai food! Some of the best I've ever had! My noodle dish had really intense flavors of ginger. You could tell that real ginger was used in the cooking and not the powder spice! I'd say that was the singlehanded most obvious difference in this food versus anywhere else. All of the ingredients were fresh and the food was amazing! I also loved the fact that it was easy for me to find which items I could order as a vegan. They have a lot of different options but I really enjoyed the vegan options! I won't even list all the vegan options here because there are too many. Basically have no fear you'll find lots of food here!
Our first visit was 4 months ago, we returned for a second time now that they announced they redid the inside and my it was beautiful in there! Follow their Facebook fan page for cute posts by the owners as well 💗
Bangkok cuisine is one of my favorite places to eat and has been for over 15 yrs. Every dish is always fresh and the flavors are very nuanced. I've tried multiple Thai restaurants through the years. None of which can make my taste buds dance and my stomach sing like Bangkok can.
Fresh and delicious! Probably the best Thai restaurant in San Antonio. It isn't cheap and it is obvious that they make your food fresh to order, but it is certainly worth it.
After having absolutely scrumptious springrolls we tried the lemongrass chicken and eggplant soybean beef. They both delivered. The food leaves you satisfied without feeling stuffed.
I had the Pad Thai with chicken and an order of spring rolls on the lunch menu. Everything tasted very fresh and freshly cooked. The order was sizeable enough I had to take about half home. 10/10 would go again.
Amazing green curry and awesome service! A must try! Love that cream puffs are small delicate and many of them <3 Support a local business!!
