Amazing little find my fiancé and I found on our way to Maine back in 2021. Every time we head to Boston or beyond, travelers is ALWAYS a spot we visit. Cannot recommend this place enough, and don’t forget to grab your free book!

Passed this restaurant several times in the past and finally stopped for lunch. Combination restaurant and bookstore. So glad we did. Service was excellent and the food was great . Mable, bacon grilled cheese chicken sandwich was the best. Open faced hot turkey sandwich was also excellent. Plus you can get a free book from the designated shelf. What more could you want. Great food, service and a book. By the way there is a bookstore to. Closed Tuesday and Wednesday.

This is our second time here and it’s everything I want in a local breakfast spot. Food is excellent and only outdone by the service. Servers are quick and attentive and hard working. Food served quickly and portions are generous. Price is just right. The concept is unique as well. It really has it all and should not be missed.

I’ve been curious about this place for a while and glad I finally found an opportunity! The ambiance is like a warm and welcoming rec room, very homey, with books everywhere. The menu is similar to a high-end diner, with a few more creative options like lobster mac & cheese and chicken & waffle. I had the latter and it was delicious, with honey-sriracha spiced crispy chicken tenders topped with crumbled bacon and served with pancake syrup on the side. Seriously good!

Solid food and service with a smile, 3 free used books per diner. Place was packed but they were short staffed, but the food still came out fast and I was seated promptly. Novel omelette with apples and cheese hit the spot, the apples were soft and had cinnamon too. Blueberry muffin was delicious. The home fries were too plain, and needed salt, pepper, and ketchup. A great value at under 20 including lemonade.

What an amazing place!!!! I was so happy we found this restaurant/bookstore during our travels. The food was yummy, the staff were incredibly sweet & helpful, and the book vibes were amazing. The best part was getting 3 free books with your meal!!

I came here after seeing the "books" sign from the highway, and I was so happy I made the stop! It's a cute spot right off the highway with a ton of fun, used books, and good food. You get 3 free books with your check, and there is a basement area filled with books for purchase. I enjoyed every part of my meal and I can't wait to return!

Food and books, who could ask for more! I hadn't eaten at The Traveler in years but decided to stop when I was on my way to Boston. I was greeted by a super nice hostess who showed me to a table, and the server took my order quickly. I got a great salad with fresh greens, lots of crumbled blue cheese, walnuts, and cranberries. It was perfect, just what I wanted. And the unsweetened ice tea was fresh brewed, really who could ask for more.
