Mayflower Seafood Restaurant

I wouldn't go back to this place, their service was so bad. It used to be Mayflower but recently had a name change and new management. There was no host at the front, waited a good 30 minutes to get seated, once seated, we were just ignored, I tried to point out a dirty dish to the person trying to serve us tea and she handed me a napkin to clean the plate. 🙄 We ordered a dish to get started, we never received it after waiting 20-30 minutes, we never got any menu, no water, no service, just got ignored all throughout the time. Maybe it's a race thing because there was a lady pushing a cart with food but she just went around us twice, we tried to call her but she ignored us too. 🤦😤 What a disappointment, we took our business elsewhere.

I had a Sunday Dim Sum lunch w/ family at this place. Food is about the same as any Dim sum togo/hot food place in super market. I will eat it but won't call it good. There are only 2 person working 20+ tables and 1 lady serving food from kitchen. So you need to have a lot of patience.... BTW, they charge 10cent per togo box. There is an automatic 20% tip on the bill for table of 4 (2 adult+2 kids).

We can here for dinner as a large group of 21 yo celebrate my mom's birthday. Despite being a large group, we were seated right away to 2 circular tables next to each other. We ordered a la cartel instead of the banquet menu but each table since spent over 275 per table. For the amount of food we ordered, it was a pretty good deal for around 30 bucks per person. My favorite dish was the salt and pepper spare ribs but most people liked the fish.

Quite authentic Cantonese cuisine especially I loved the fried lobster with ginger and spring onions! It was great but not so cheap as it coast $26 per pound. Ordered the salt and pepper crab that I think can be better with the spices add. The fry pigeon isn’t great as the meat is too dry and apparently overly cooked! Geoducks sashimi was really good and make 2 ways cooking with soup and sashimi style. Not cheap and better asked the price before ordering as the waitress tends to push you for expensive items. Casual chinese restaurant and enjoyed the food so much!

Food is okay. But waiter has very bad attitude. We ordered five dishes . One turned out to have a taste of the food being spoiled. I tried to warn the waiter about it. I didn't even ask for money back. Just wanted to make sure other people don't receive the same bad food. But he total ignored what I said and walked away without saying anything - not even sorry. And the worst part is that they fixed the tip to the bill total. They force you to pay the tip that they decree and to pay extra for bad service no matter what. You do not get to choose.
