A couple of weeks ago,
I took my family here to eat, 3 boys and myself. The establishment was
very clean, the service was great, and the food was delicious!
A beautiful woman
approached us shortly after we chose our table and greeted us with a
gorgeous smile as she took our order for drinks. Once we ordered she excused
herself and was off to fulfill our request. As my boys and I discussed the
beautiful waitress instead of ordering she was back in a flash delivering our
beverages. We were so unprepared and astounded by her mesmerizing eyes and
beautiful smile we could not figure out what we wanted. She blushed after I
asked for her name... Holly... Holly... as her name lingered on my mind.
She tried to get my attention as I day dreamed and once she achieved her
goal she continued to ask if I was ready to order. I nodded and was still
speechless until I was able to bring forth the words; "What do you recommend?"
She mentioned the rack
of ribs but shortly changed to offering the build-your-own-combo
while recommending the filet mignon with a side of citrus butter shrimp
and loaded baked potato for me; a pulled pork sandwich for my eldest son; a
grilled cheese with fries for my middle son; and chicken tenders for my 19
month old son. As she mentioned the rack of ribs I immediately checked her rack
and wanted those but I held true to being a
gentleman. So I agreed to her recommendations where shortly she
requested to leave our side to submit our demands to her cook. She knew exactly
what we liked as if she was psychic.
The food was like
ambrosia; the waitress was a goddess; and the restaurant was like heaven. I
highly recommend visiting this fine establishment.
We stopped in right before closing you could see the chef cooking the meat outside as we walked in.. It smelled amazing.. The service was fairly fast we never waited more the 5 mins for anything but the food.. We ordered rib co burger which was awesome along with the potato salad!! We also had the special which was the prime rib and again we loved it it was better then most prime ribs you get. Third we ordered the sampler of ribs. Yes seemed a little pricey but was well worth the price to try the main 3 flavors.. All 3 of us shared everything and was very impressed!!! If we are ever in twenty-nine palms again we will be coming back!! Btw we are from St. Louis and thier St. Louis ribs was pretty awesome for being in Cali!!!

This place was an absolute surprise on the side of a main road during our Joshua Tree trip. From outside, it doesn’t look that exciting and inside is the standard roadside restaurant, but damn they have the most amazing ribs at great prices considering that it’s BBQ. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, until it got too busy 😂
Note that it can get pretty packed with an average 1h wait in the late afternoon.
We got the Rib Sampler and a combo with Brisket and Pulled Pork, which was way too much food for 3 people but it was worth trying them all. The Pulled Pork and Brisket were good but nothing special.
On the other hand, all the ribs were exceptional. It’s hard to say which one was the best as they were all really good. This was my daughter’s first time agreeing to try ribs and she couldn’t stop having the Dry Rubbed ones and kept asking for more. All the side dishes were great. We were surprised at how amazing their fries were!

Food was super !! We had the rib platter and could not recommend anything else if u can't choose a specific style. There was plenty left over for seconds !! The grilled jalapeños were awesome as well. Unique !!
Server was great, thoughtful and kept an eye out. Food prep took time but that was expected.
We were warned of a 45 minute wait for food but it was more than worth it - I had the baby back ribs and they were just as stated- fall off the bone. We managed to get the last piece of peach cobbler and even though I really did not have room…..I found room. The waitress was very friendly and helpful - she saved the last cobbler for us
Always enjoy eating at this spot. Fantastic food served by friendly locals. I highly recommend getting the triple threat full rack of baby back ribs....They are beyond delicious!
We've been stopping in Twentynine Palms for one night on our road trip and passed by The Rib Co rigth before arriving our Motel 6. The road was filld with smoke and delicious smell. It was clear where we gonna have dinner tonight. And that was one of the best decisions on our road trip. Holy BBQ, this place is amazing. The people awesome, the food is so good, especially the brisket.
A couple of friends and I visited for dinner on a Sunday. This place is very popular and does get busy – the wait time was 30 minutes for a table. However it was definitely worth the wait! The staff was great, definitely have some patience – as i said, this is a popular restaurant, and it's definitely for a reason! One of my friends is a Texas native – this place has her approval! The brisket, ribs, burger, chicken wings were all cooked to perfection and so delicious. Our waitress did mix up one of our meals and had the charge removed as an apology, however i would've gladly paid for the meal we mistakenly received as it was just that great even if it was the wrong meal. Highly recommend the jalapeno poppers, so flavorful with the right amount of spice. Great ambiance even if there's not much to the building itself, and it has a lovely view of the sunset. I definitely recommend trying out this restaurant !
Went here to try their beef ribs n it wasn't bad or good. The corn bread muffins was delicious. The atmosphere was great n the service were very friendly 😀. Next time I will try the baby back rib. So if you are in a mood for ribs, do gave them a try
This is the best American BBQ food I’ve ever had. Everything was great, love the fried chicken and ribs. Steak was good too.

Very pricey! The food is good. The service was a bit slow. I dont like that they don't sell their delicious cornbread muffins separately, they only come with the meals. They serve the muffins with a yummy honey butter and when they come out nice and hot they are so addictive! I tried this place twice while in town, it was expensive both times but I wanted to give it another chance. First time we shared a combo you choose at least 2 options and we got pork spareribs, chicken breast and pulled pork. The ribs were delicious and very soft, the chicken was ok some pieces were a bit rubbery, the pork was ok also just needed something like more muffin or a bread roll or something to offset the flavor and texture. Came with 2 sides we got mashed potatoes and macaroni & cheese. On the side we ordered potato salad which was my favorite! It was tangy and delicious! Also ordered a fried chicken plate came with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The chicken was again a little rubbery and some pieces a bit dry. Had a side of fries those were tasty! Second visit ordered ceasar salad, beef ribs and tri tip. Came with 2 sides again got potato salad for both and ordered some macaroni & cheese and mashed potatoes on the side. The kids had chicken tenders they were pretty good for being chicken. Probably won't return here the service is not great seems like they treat locals differently.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Almost everything is made onsite. The BBQ is phemoninal. Melts in your mouth. Highly recommend you stop if you find yourself in 29 Palms!
I ordered the half rack of ribs and they were DELICIOUS and moist. I know it’s good pork because it did not have a nasty aftertaste. The atmosphere was cozy and upbeat. Watching friends laughing together and family enjoying a good meal is what made it so comfortable. It was busy so we had to wait awhile but it was so worth it! The Spinach and Artichoke dip was great too!
Amazing authentic BBQ place. We had the platter with 1/4 of each and highly recommend. They were smoked fresh (you can actually watch the cook smoke your meat) and the meat really did fell off the bones. The service was friendly.
Best ****ing ribs I’ve ever had!! We got the 5-style rib sampler. All the ribs were so juicy and fall off the bone and perfectly spiced and sauced. Our favorite was the dry rub. Least favorite was the Memphis style but still good! Biscuits were super tasty and were elevated with their homemade honey butter. Customer service was awesome. Marcus was a great waiter who checked in often! Who would have thought you could find such an amazing rib place just outside of Joshua Tree. 10000/10!
On the road ! One of the best ribs alongside the highway. My recommendation will be the rib sampler but for 3 people minimum 😀. Service fast and efficient. You can see ribs bbq in front of the restaurant so you see what you will get!
Best steaks, service, and overall dining in area. Better food than anywhere in Palm Springs and 29 Palms. Only complaint is it is a bit small. Had ribeye and spinach dip in breadbowl.
To say the baby back ribs were fall off the bone would be an understatement! The bones were completely clean! The brisket sandwich was delicious too. Very tender and lean Server was friendly and helpful. Place was hopping with happy customers. I definitely recommend!
WOW - Delicious! Was a little hesitant to try this place given the other reviews about the service. We were leaving the park and hungry. Called to check wait times as soon as we got cell service and decided on take out (35 min vs 30 min for dine in). The lady that answered was so nice! She took my order and said she would call when it was ready. We drove over and arrived ~30 min later just as she called. Order was packed with care and filled the car with a delicious aroma. We got the ribeye (perfect med-rare!) and the baby backs (fall off the bone and just enough sauce). Sides - loaded baked potato, cole slaw, Mac n cheese (only thing I would not get again as it was just so-so), and beans. Everything was perfect and we would come back when we are in the area again.
“These are desert cups,” said our waitress as she set our massive waters on the table.
Such a fantastic experience! The rib and chicken dinners are fantastic. The service was great and everyone was incredibly friendly.
It didn’t look like much to look at from the road, but honestly even a year and a half later my fiancée and I still talk about the dinner we had here. Highly highly recommend!
