Shrimpy's

The food was ok, none of the sauces were exceptional. The place needs thorough cleaing and revamp and a reenergizing and retraining of the staff. The big problem for me though-the cleanliness and atmosphere. We were the only table at what should have been a fairly busy time of day and the place was empty and looked in complete disarray. There was furniture piled up along the window, some stacked, some vicariously knocked over and laying around, their service area was a wreck with stuff piled and sticking out everywhere and the tables and walls were filthy. There is just no cohesive vibe in there either. Plus the girl got our order wrong-again we are the only people in the place-and instead of just fixing it or saying she will fix it she says "so are you cool with those or do you like want the ones you ordered?". We only ordered shrimp and fries, there should have been no mix up. She then came and sat a huge filthy bucket on our table. It was super disgusting so I just put it on the floor because it was clearly unwashed and we definitely didn't need a full size bucket for 2 lbs of shrimp shells. As a business owner myself what bothered me is that the 2 employees did nothing but just stand there and yack, they clearly have no accountability or task list which is the owner/managers fault. Overall the place was filthy, disorganized, had jenky had drawn signs up, the food was meh and the staff couldn't care less. I am always really disheartened when some owner puts their hard earned money into creating a place and then this is the result. It could definitely be better.

2 stars for the atmosphere, because it’s a cute little hole in the wall. We bought a pound of shrimp in the 911 medium sauce , a pound in the Cajun, and a pound of crab legs in the garlic butter. The 911 “medium” heat was just a spicy version of their Cajun sauce. The Cajun sauce tastes like watery marinara. Was not what we expected at all, the garlic butter needed salt or butter because it tasted watered down. It was pricey for the taste but I think normal for it being seafood. Didn’t leave me wanting more.

First time there was good (May 19), service was good, staff was nice, everything was clean and well put together. Got there about 6 pm on a Saturday and it was busy, when I left at 7 pm people were starting to line up at the door. There are 3 sauces, the regular, 911 and 5150. The 911 sauce is really good, hot enough for people who like spicy food without being too hot so you can't enjoy the food. I got crab, shrimp, corn and sausage. Yes the shrimp is whole shrimp so if you don't like that be aware. They also have appetizers, we got the super carne asada fries and they are really good. My only real complaint is the crab they use doesn't have much meat in it and it's stringy. It's $17.99 per pound and I feel like I paid for crab shells. I'll go back again for sure, they have a really good menu but the crab just threw me off.
