Visiting from Dallas for work and found this spot near my stay. Chili Cheese coneys were delicious. Had me a couple almost got me a 3rd. But I’ll definitely have to come back and check it out on my next visit. Staff is friendly.

Nice little place to get an Original Coney! I like the place and it looks like it is under new management. So it’s good. My only observation is the bathrooms. The bathrooms were small and drafty, not dirty just drafty. The personnel was very very friendly.

I used to think the difference between the best and the worst chili is small, until I've had the chili here. It was aromatic, hearty, and delicious. The people are great and you can't go wrong with any item on the menu.

It was beautiful! 🤌 I could go for another visit right now just thinking about those Coneys. The tamales are just as good and the Frito pie was fulfilling. Only thing I went wrong with was not ordering a large! The ladies are very professional and know their way around a kitchen. It's a total vibe Everytime.

The shop has been opened for at least forty years. They sold the fantastic and delicious Hot Dog with cheese, chili and onion. The flavor is awesome. Also the price is affordable for common people.

Simple Clean and Friendly atmosphere! A great place to catch a lunch break! I like their hotdogs the most but everything on their menu is super good especially the Frito Chili pies!

This was my first experience at this restaurant and I have to say this is by FAR the BEST nachos I’ve ever had!!!!! It was insanely delicious! I called to give the restaurant a compliment by phone as well. Continue giving out amazing items!!! It was so fresh… I could go on and on about my lunch ahahaha but I’ll keep it short and sweet!

My wife and I love the chili. The food is great. My only criticism would be the process of ordering. When you walk through the door you tell the person who's making the food what you want and then you have to repeat it all over again when you get to the cash register. It would just be way easier just to order and then they pass the order on to the person who's making the food. It gets kind of confusing when you're trying to order food for three or four people trying to remember all the add-ons etc.

Carl's is the real deal!! Their chili tastes like chili, not cinnamon or some funky spice..and it is the color chili is supposed to be, not some grayish mystery sauce!! They're only open from 1030am to 3pm M -F right now, but hope to broaden those hours soon!! I had 2 cheese coneys and hubby had 2 also, along with 2 of their tamales...all were so good they were gone before pics could be taken!! Since 1971, they've been on the West side...another great spot in the Crystal City Shopping Center...give them a visit soon!!

Reminds me of the old Coney Island chain the chili is as good as it gets you get to Hot Dogs you expect all the condiments you want I enjoyed my experience and let's take out just wish it would run a little more efficiently a bit slow for my taste but I only have 30 minutes for lunch I eat their occasionally and would recommend the food highly.

We visited for the first time in maybe 2 years. Ownership or management had changed. We wanted the Ernie special. Fortunately somebody still knew how to make it. Crowd was average for lunch.
