Review Claud's Hamburgers - Tulsa

The people who own this place are super nice. They know what good old fashioned customer service is. The food is delicious. The grill imparts a great flavor to the burgers. The food is made to order fresh. There's a reason why they have been around so long. A true classic.

Loved it. The burgers are juicy and delicious. The toppings are minimal, but I suppose you could ask for more. The fries are unsalted (Thank you!) and taste like fried potatoes. I tried a side of steak sauce that went well on the fries, but it is probably best to leave them alone. The servers and cook were all welcoming and on spot. The wait time was minimal, and everything was perfect.

Went there for years. The owner died and sadly it is closed and indefinitely 😢😢. Eating there over 40 years. Robert, Cliff, Larry and their dad that started the business on Peoria in the 60’s. They were all wonderful people and always a smile with your burger. I will miss Claud’s.

A classic dine-in hamburger joint. Good burger, good fries, nuff said. Established in 1954, a Tulsa staple definitely worth checking out.

Cute, fun spot on Brookside. Burgers are good… but definitely something you can make at home. Good but average. Good spot for a quick & cheap afternoon bite.

Checked out Claud's Hamburgers! Well I give 4.5 star based on the pandemic. The price was a little on the high side for what I got but I understand it's Brookside lol! I wanted to enjoy the sit down experience and listen and see the the environment but couldn't do it! I will definitely be back for round two! The people were friendly great food nice portion on the fries and the burger was juicy!

Claud's is awesome. I have been going here since I was a kid and I've never had a bad experience. The burgers are awesome and it feels like a family affair every time I go. Highly recommend!

I recently moved to the area. This place is always packed. So today i went to get a buger. The lady was really nice. Not mention a gentlemen paid for my food. The food was really good. all America classic hamburger. Love love love it... I will be back for the bigger burger 🤣

This place is fantastic! What a burger should be! Even from a guy from Indiana!

Tulsa staple. It’s one of those burger places that’s been cooking on the same piece of pig iron for decades and everything tastes amazing. The fries are super crispy! Good value for food too!

Great food. Fast service. Clean tables. Friendly service. What more can one ask for. We had the double cheeseburgers and they were super tasty.

Went to Claud's for the first time today. I usually eat my burgers plain because I don't like condiments and veggies interfering with the flavor of the meat, so I ordered a 3oz single with onions grilled in. The burger was thoroughly cooked but still nice and tender and the onions were a perfect compliment and not just a topping. As soon as I was done with my first burger, I ordered a second. :D Sorry it took me this long to visit - I'll make a point to come back and get a t-shirt next time!

This is, hands down, the BEST burger place in all of Tulsa. To be honest, I would put a Claud’s hamburger against any other hamburger in the nation! My family drove down from St. Louis to eat here. The double cheeseburger with the onions fried in...it’s the best of the best!!

The best burger in Tulsa. No frills, no fancy menu- old school classic, served at the bar. Great spot to people watch, and soak up some sun on a nice day.

I went there for the first time recently and the staff -- I think it is a family-owned operation -- were very nice. They were also following Covid protocol, which is good — I felt safe. The burgers and fries were really good, the best I have had in town. Furthermore, the prices are very reasonable for what you get. It is a nice spot, check it out if you haven't been.

Met a friend for lunch, nice staff, food is classic hamburger joint. Not the best burger I've ever had, but hot and yummy! Great little historic place to grab a bite.

This is easily the best burger joint in town. I just laugh at the reviews pouting about alleged negative customer service and “poor food quality”. These are the warmest, friendliest business owners on Brookside and I’ve lived here for 9 years now. Eating here weekly is quickly becoming a family tradition for us. Never change!!

Claud’s is a fantastic, no fuss, and DELICIOUS classic burger joint run by some of the friendliest folk around. This place makes me wish I grew up here in Tulsa so it could have been a part of my childhood memories. Thank you friends!

September 11, 2018 · by willoughbyandy · in Burgers, Midwest, Oklahoma · Leave a comment. On the heels of lunch, just 45 minutes before, we made a quick stop at Claud’s Hamburgers, in Tulsa, as we continued our road trip. Technically – I made a stop, as I was the only one eating at this time. Claud’s has been serving up burgers since 1954 (in this location since 1965) in a restaurant that’s the size of a suburban living room. There are eight seats at the counter, and six more lining the windows, in this classic Okie burger joint that is in the second generation of ownership. I ordered a single with cheese and watched as the magic began.

Very good burger and fries! Nothing fancy and no unique ingredients, but a quality old fashioned burger. I love that you can sit at the bar and watch them cook the food as well. The only think I didn't like was that the staff would not let us pay for our food before we got it. We were kinda in a hurry and wanted to eat quick and get on our way. Definitely would recommend and will go back.

I added a picture of the current menu. The Pepsi menu is from before 2010. The hours are open at 10:30 and close at 4:00 on Tue Wed and Sat. On Thursday and Friday they're open until 8:00. Closed on Sunday and Monday

Awesome Burgers definitely a hidden Gem in T-Town! Diner style no alcohol or milkshakes and limited seating. The double cheese burger is two patties smashed together.

We’ve tried to eat at Claud’s several times over the past couple months. Today Ian and I were headed to Muskogee on a Saturday, so we stopped by for lunch. The place is tiny, only about 12 seats (eight at the counter, four in front of a window). We both got triple burgers, which really was a couple larger patties. Mine had bacon. I screwed up regarding onions; I thought they put fried onions on the burgers, and asked for just a few. In reality, they fulfilled my request by putting a couple raw onions pieces.

Great burgers. Thin, greasy patties with good quality romaine lettuce. None of that iceberg that slides out of your burger. Just be prepared that seating is very limited.

Delicious but expensive. We ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a drink. I got two cheeseburgers because I was still hungry... it was as small as a junior cheeseburger. And it cost $3.40 just for one!!!! They don't do "combo meals". Very good, but both meals totaled $18.00.

Over rated. I agree waitress not very friendly at all. I got the cheeseburger and there wasn't much meat on it. The flavor however was good. The fries were just fries poured out of a bag and fried nothing special. It was very clean. Nothing to brag about. We won't be driving across town to go back.

Great Burger. Claudes has earned their name and respect as the "Best Burger in Tulsa"

Bad experience. Just walked out of this place wishing I had never gone in. The taste of the food isn't great but it's not bad however I did not realize I was ordering a kids meal. We paid $11.00 for what seemed like two kids meal cheeseburgers and a handful of fries. Needless to say I am still hungry! That's not the worst part though. We were never greeted or said thank you to. From the moment we walked in we felt like we were an inconvenience. I have no idea how this place made it to the top of lists. So if you dont want to pay for mediocre food and horrible customer service then don't stop here!

Solid old school burger. Great old school burger counter that looks like it hasn't changed much in 50 or so years. Fresh grilled onions on your burger and the onion straws are fresh home made not frozen. Also don't forget to save some room for the pie, also home made.

About the best fried burger around. Consistent. Food is never off, always fresh, delicious. The family is top notch and the joint is always impeccably clean. I've gone here since early 80's? Don't recommend going as large group though, too small; or getting takeout, it gets soggy.

Good burger, ok fries, with a side of you don't belong here service. Waitress was busy looking at cell phone and whispering with one of the cooks.
Burger at Claud's gets a solid B.
Hospitality and service at Claud's gets an absolute F.
Derek Wheeler
The food was okay, but I felt like an outsider the whole time

Best burger in town, but don't forget to ask for the onions fried in. However, they don't have onion rings or chocolate malts, which leaves the place lacking somehow. I think Hardens gains some points based on that alone.

Classic small town style burger.. This burger tops the list of best tasting (classic) burgers in town. Small place, get in and out atmosphere.

Burgers taste amazing, just the right amount of greasy and salty, and cheesy. Burgers were small, not brownies small, but I got the double double and could have eaten another burger... and I'm not a big guy.

Mmm mmm! I just had a hamburgerand fries. Thats the main thing I offer and that's all I need. Limited menu so there's not a whole lot else to choose from. Bit thr burger was a fantastic grease burger

You'll Heart Claud's!. Tulsa has a lot of options for tiny little burger joints. I'v enjoyed Freddie's and Harden's, but once I tried Claud's I've found it hard to even want to try any other burger place around.

My husband and I go to Claud's almost every week. The meat that is used for their burgers is SO. GOOD! This is the only place that I've ate the leftover meat when the bun runs out. The norm here is mustard, pickle, and onion. But they have lettuce and tomato available too, as well as mayo and ketchup if you're not fond of mustard. The fries are scrumptious. They come unseasoned so you can control how much salt and/or pepper you like. They are really crispy yet tender inside and never taste odd due to oil in need of filtering. A lot of people share a small or large, but I can't share with my hubby because I want them all to myself! :-)

The prices are so cheap, to-go for two costs us about $13-ish, eat in is about $20 which includes 1 doublemeat, 1 doublecheese, 2 large fries, and 2 large drinks plus tip!

The service is great, you can tell they are family owned simply because they all look related! They are a really nice family - and even when the restaurant is crowded (it's tiny) they nicely organize where everyone sits. The atmosphere is great; Claud's has a classic diner feel. All different types of people stop by, and lots of people talk with the cook about sports and weather.

It's a great place to eat, the best on Brookside. Claud's is closed Sunday and Monday, open till 4 on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Saturday, and open till 8 on Thursday and Friday. My favorite times to go are between meal times, there aren't many other customers in there so you can take your time and enjoy a delicious burger and maybe order a second one ;)

Nice folks but burger too small, strangely unsatisfying. Finally got to Claud's this Friday night around 7:30 before they closed but left strangely unsatisfied.
Sweet friendly waitress that looks alot lite Elizabeth Taylor.
CheeseBurger came pronto but on one of the smallest buns I have ever seen, about the size of a McDonalds regular small burger. The hefty meat patty spilled over all the edges and was very tasty, fries standard variety, nothing special with Iced Tea all for about $10 bucks with tip.
I had though that with all the glowing reviews this would be the best burger in town...but so far Tuesday at the Crow Tavern takes the prize.ANyone want to share their favorite Tulsa Burger???

Great, Greasy, and Affordable!. This place is one of my all time favs. Wife loves it and she is crazy picky, kids love the food and love experience. It is pure old school. No frills here, just good greasy burgers for a really affordable price. Love it!
Q
Best burger and fries in Tulsa. Claud's only does a few items, but they do them well. The burgers are the closest we have found to In n Out around Tulsa, and fries have the perfect crispiness.
RossJohnson
Hamburgers=6, Speed=0, Clean=6. Man they're slow...
Live in Brookside, only eat at Clauds once or twice a year to get our grease fix.

Over-rated. You come for the ambiance and in your face grilling, don't get me wrong.............fun joint but their burgers don't get my feet tapping........imagine that.

Old school burger stand. This is the kind of place your grandad went with his dad. Looks like a diner that was mistaken for a shrinky-dink. Very inexpensive.

Claude’s is the epitome of the Tulsa burger, frying diced onions into the patty(s) topped off with just the right amount of mustard to make any Yankee burger eater swear off ketchup forever. Claud’s stands atop of a long list of outstanding burger joints here in Burgertown, USA, an accomplishment that should not be taken lightly! One thing I learned when I first moved to Tulsa is that great burgers can be found around every corner… just look for a man’s name on the sign and you can be pretty sure it’ll be good. Claud’s isn’t good… it’s Mantastic!
