I wanted a change in restaurants for my birthday this year so I asked 3 of my most trusted foodie friends for a list of recommendations. I then asked them which place on the list also had the best cocktails. The Oren won so I made a visit.
Great atmosphere for a date, good wait staff, food was a mixed bag for me. I ordered the Butcher's meat pasta. Far too salty and skimpy on the meat. My wife got the steak and it was excellent.
The cocktail list is extensive. I ordered an Old Fashion and a Vieux Carre. Both were on the decent to disappointing side. There was a charge mix up on the bill for the second drink as well, they ran out of their $5 well and decide to upgrade me to their $12 well without telling me, but they made it good in the end.

Ate Sunday brunch today, after reviewing some of the other comments left today's I would personally like to say the Oren was outstanding. They accommodated every need I have and always make sure I’m well taken care of. Their French toast was amazing and my waiter even made sure to be diligent about our allergies. Definitely recommend!

This place is amazing! My husband had the King Salmon and I had the scallops. We also shared an appetizer of ciabatta bread and from the bread to the entrees everything was AMAZING! 10/10 will eat here again! <3

Entering the restaurant, I feel so welcomed! The service was very professional and every server I have had has gave me the best experience. Their brunch is a must have. The French toast is perfectly delightful and yummy. The bar staff is always so sweet and entertaining. The way things run at Oren is so well done. HIGHLY recommended!

Fantastic restaurant with incredible service. The lunch menu while not large had enough dishes to offer even the picky eaters in our lunch party of 6 something they'd enjoy. The drinks were great, the wine recommendation was spot on and the dessert (not pictured) was great. We had 4 starter courses that were really good and 4 different entrees; all were great!

Went here for my fiancées birthday and our experience was excellent. The charred broccoli and risotto were our favorites from what we ordered. The service was amazing as well, they provided a complimentary mousse with a candle for her birthday which was also so delicious

Amazing experience every time we've eaten here. The consistency and the quality of their appetizers and entrees are what keeps us coming back. Tulsa has a true gem here. Can't speak highly enough of the owner and the employees, they always deliver and are great people. Love this place!

This restaurant has a great vibe with an intimate setting. I had the center cut ribeye paired with a potato purée and a gravy sauce. I’ve been here several times and I would have to say this is my all time favorite dish that I’ve had at Oren. My go to drink is usually a dirty martini because they have the best blue-cheese stuffed olives, but they were out of olives the night I went, so I was kinda bummed about that. I ended up ordering a French 75 and it was very good.

This is a place I've had my eye on trying and I was not disappointed. Great Cocktails and good food. Arancini is a must. Duck was cooked well and the sauce with brussel sprouts was very tasty. Bolognese was good, but I expected it to be a tad more defined meat and sauce wise. We would definitely go again,despite being pricey.

Been to this place twice now ! Such a great place to brunch ! I highly recommend their Butcher’s Meatballs and Ricotta Gnudi! Also, not sure if they are still doing it but if you go for your 1st time and tell your waiter they will give your table a free French Toast!😍

Pro tip: get a party of 8, come here and order the entire menu plus dessert. Take a bite of each dish, and you'll leave happier than you could imagine. We did so yesterday and it was among the best dining experiences I've had in my life.
The cocktails were creative, but the sense of balance and restraint with powerful ingredients like ginger, raspberry, watermelon, etc. was something unusual and belies a great deal of skill for those behind the bar and or those making the recipes. I'm only used to experiencing drinks like this at Valkyrie and Hodge's.
As for the food, absolutely incredible. All were delicious, but several were downright thought-provoking. In particular, I'm thinking of the heirloom tomato salad with fresh raspberries, the summer corn croquettes with maple, the sweet potato dessert (as soon as we tried it we ordered another one!), the broccoli, and several others. What stood out to me about the food was the sense of well-thought out simplicity: in a dish where 30 ingredients could all work, I saw the chef choosing 3 instead, and bringing out their best qualities. This is the magic of culinary technique!

Had a wonderful dinner at Oren. Our server was very friendly and thorough in explaining about the menu. The meals served flawlessly. There’s a slight delay in delivering the main dish to one of the party, and they sent a complimentary appetizer while waiting...very classy.
The menu is very appealing with many different dishes offered. Great variety of wine selections. I had the duck which was cooked to perfection.
Great place for treating top business clients, or a nice dinner with special someone or with some of your foodie friends.
Highly recommended.

We had an amazing night with friends at Oren. The staff is so professional, personable, and knowledgeable about each dish and each item on the drink menu (we had Nash as our waiter). The food was amazing! I never knew carrots could taste so good! We had a variety of dishes to share and none disappointed. For an entree our table shared the short rib and Halibut (I think this was the special that night). Both were delicious! To top it off, the chef came out to chat which made the whole experience so personal. Absolutely the best dining experience I have had in Tulsa.

We had a wonderful meal tonight, we tried many different items, and everything I ate was delicious! Plus the service is always excellent.
I recommend the cauliflower with the veal sweetbreads and the sweet potatoes, which are new to the menu this week. And of course we split all three of the desserts - Yum!

Best meal I have ever had in Tulsa. As a chef it's not often I have to ask a server what something is. I dined there last night and our server Andrea was outstanding. We lacked for nothing. She was tremendous at explaining items like sea grapes and gnudi. I can't wait to return and try the few items we didn't plough through. Tip o' the hat to the chef for bringing an exciting and unusual restaurant to Brookside.

Fantastic addition to Brookside. First, I was struck with the chic ambience and patio. Great place for happy hour with friends. Decor evokes the "am I in tulsa or Chicago?" reaction. I appreciate the philosophy of the place as well like using locally sourced products. I sampled several of the dishes and I was impressed with them all particularly the oysters, croquettes, spinach, and cauliflower. The seasoning is outstanding and the flavors were original and creative. They were out of a couple of their more popular items (e.g. Ricotta Gnudi) so I'll return to check those out for sure. Finally, make sure to see their wine list and specialty cocktails. The highly talented Read Richards has created some innovative and sensational mixed drinks. I sampled a few and was very impressed...and tipsy. Oren is a winner.

I’ve had high expectations for restaurants in Tulsa many times, this one actually met them. From the cocktails through to the desserts, every element was perfect. The outside patio is wonderful but it was too cold to enjoy. The fire there was a great greeting instead. The restaurant decor is simple and elegant. The seasoned olives on the table started us. My cocktail (seen on social media) was delicate and amazing. The oysters, ricotta in a rich lemon butter sauce, beet salad, short ribs and pork tenderloin were perfect. Then the panna cotta dessert... like none I had ever had. Another level. We are fortunate to have Matthew, New York culinary school trained, and his family here back in Tulsa. Wonderful experience.

Overall, a night of hits and misses. Arancini, Gnudi, and Red Cabbage were all highlights, really tasty. Every main we had was overcooked. Lamb and New York Strip were ordered medium rare and served medium to medium well. Since we had waited 30+ minutes for them to arrive, we did not send back though a re-fire was offered. Flavor was good despite the wrong temp. Duck Confit tasted like Nana's overdone turkey. Service was OK but slow. Restaurant and concept need work. Doesn't deserve Top Ten in Tulsa...yet. Potential is there but as is, will not be back for dinner. Maybe apps and drinks on the inviting patio. A little splash of color in the decor wouldn't hurt as well.

Everything was amazing. Mr. Richards behind the bar provided tip top service to go along with the incredible food and cocktails. The Rissotto, Tuna Tartare, and Short Rib were absolutely perfect. Will Ben back often.

The food was delicious. The drinks were amazing. Seriously, try the Here Today Tarragon Tomorrow. The server we had was delightful and knowledgeable. We tried everything she recommended, from the drink to the red cabbage, and it was all incredible. Loved the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

Definitely one of the better restaurants in town. Glad they picked that location as it is very convenient for me. Large portions of food for appetizers, could have picked one or two and had a meal of it. The beets were out of this world, mint, feta and orange and served cold, looked like a bowl of watermelon! An interesting mix of basic comfort food still with a modern twist. I think it would be a crowd pleaser for most diners.

The Chef has an amazing grasp of contrast of flavors. He really tries to be innovative in his menu. Small portions with great flavor. Great atmosphere. Reed the bartender makes well crafted drinks and cocktails. Each time I go, I am always more impressed.
