I was happy to find this place still open when I was Downtown recently. When I worked at the library (back when the Downtown lunch options were pretty dismal), we would come here for lunch all the time, and it was always really good. The special of the day is the best. Pretty reasonably priced too, and their mission makes them worth supporting over other restaurants.

We placed a taker out order for nine people. Every order was correct and the lunch room was quiet as we ate. Everyone enjoyed their meal, a couple of people were crazy excited about their meals. Collectively we agreed, there will be many more visits to Cafe 54.

They catered our work event and were absolutely fantastic! Jenni arrived early and helped us set up as quietly as possible as to not disturb our conference. They definitely saved the day. Delicious food and wonderful service!!

Ordered Catering for company lunch and everything was very good visually and taste wise. He brought chaffing dishes and the sternos needed to keep it warm until the clients came to eat. He then returned and cleaned up his supplies. Friendly and professional definitely a 5 star establishment The $20-30 per person included gratuity Averaged about $24 per person with a good amount of Caribbean Rice and Loaded Potato salad left after everyone ate and had a chance to get to go plates .

We were very pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome and the excellent food at Cafe 54. In fact, many other restaurants could learn a few lessons from this place about excellent food and customer service. Highly recommended!

The salmon was delicate and delicious as well as perfectly cooked. Very large proportioned dish, I couldn't finish it all. I also had the blueberry basil lemonade, which I highly recommend. Hint of blueberry and not overly sweet. Friendly and excellent service. I love that eating here helps support their employment training for adults in mental health recovery. And has tasty food!

just had lunch there. I had the Ahi Tuna and Beet Salad and it was so delicious! the staff was so kind and the food was quick but fresh. My friend had a burger and it was HUGE! my other friend had the california club with roasted potatoes and it smelled amazing! Definitely will come back!!!

In my 4th month working here, it is easily one of the best experiences in my life so far. Having high-functioning autism, it can be a struggle to communicate to people during job interviews. The staff here are all kind, supportive and understanding. I actually look forward to coming to work! I'm just going to miss working here when my training period ends T_T
