Review Sushi-ten - Tucson

Alberto Rascon
The best sushi spot in Tucson hands down! This place is always so packed, and the staff are incredibly friendly. I used to enjoy their happy hour pre 2020, which sadly they do not offer anymore, but the sushi prices are still reasonable. Recently, they underwent a remodel, and I must say, the updated look is much needed. A fresh coat of white paint did the job to make the place much more lively. Despite the changes, the sushi remains AMAZING, earning a 10/10 from me. It has always been and will continue to be my favorite sushi spot in Tucson.

All rolls had 15% off so dinner for two was not expensive at all since prices are already low. Service was amazing. Everyone is so kind. Fast service. Rolls are quite big for the price and they tasted deliciously. New favorite place to eat sushi at. I definitely recommend.

The food and service was great. The staff was super nice. The sushi was pretty good; I would definitely go back for some more eel. I also got a beef donburi, which came with a LOT of sauce. It was more than I preferred, but now I know to ask for a little bit less next time. Overall, the food was great.

Overall 7/10. Miso soup (complimentary) 6/10, iced green tea (matcha, no cream to my surprise) 10/10, calamari sushi 3/10 (under done), soft shell crab sushi 9/10, edamame 6/10, katsu chicken 9/10. Service 10/10 & traditional (casual) atmosphere 9/10

From my personal experience, food is ok. Service is slow and careless. Overall won’t call it sushi-ten. Would maybe call it sushi seven? One interesting fact is that I have not been to a sushi place where a small hot sake is half full. Server said this is their normal serving.

The best sushi place in town! Plus 15% discount during day hours. All sushi 🍣 assortments are delicious. We always go for the most expensive ones with samlon, cream cheese, fries shrimp 🍤. Always a treat to come here.

Overall we enjoyed the meal. The chicken Katsu sauce was a little sweet and they put too much on it so it got soggy. My husband enjoyed the sushi. The staff was very kind.

This place is amazing. It was our first time there. I asked for a table for 2, while waiting about 15 minutes for my husband, and they sat me n I ordered a Sapporo after a few minutes of looking at the menu. I felt uncomfortable because I thought they were going to stop a few times to see if I wanted to order anything besides the beer (I didn't want to order food until my husband arrived). In fact, they didn't approach me at all, and insanely considerate, as soon as he sat down after the 15 minute wait, without me saying a word to anyone, 2 fresh, hot bowls of miso soup were brought out. That was so amazingly considerate of them to understand without asking. On TOP of that, this is BY FAR, THE freshest raw fish I have ever had in Tucson and I have lived here since 2015. The salmon melts in your mouth. The gyoza texture is fantastic, tempura combination incredible, and the no. 2 and no. 3 sushi combinations were beyond words. I would give 6 stars if I could. Incredible service, very hospitable, and divine food. This is my new favorite spot. I didn't take any photos like I normally would at a restaurant as I was really hungry and we annihilated the plates because it was so good. Please stop here. It's worth a visit. Tiny note: while their website still shows the ginger salad on the menu, they didn't have it on the actual current menu and prices were actually lower on most items on the in-person menu.

Fast and friendly service starting with Miso soup the minute you are seated, gratis. The Edamame was perfectly seasoned, a generous serving only slightly overcooked but still tasty and came very quickly@$5. We can recommend the Vegas roll and the Dragon roll made by three handsome chefs, two young and one of a more venerable age. The rolls average $8-12 for 8 pieces. A wall was boarded up which did not help the ambience but we will return!

The food was great, very authentic and fresh tasting. The atmosphere is nice with contemporary music playing, a nice warm lighting, and the sushi bar on display. The staff are all very lovely and sweet.

An affordable place with good quality of food. They don’t have all-you-can-eat option anymore. Instead, they have 35% off for most of the sushi and sushi rolls. (1) The salmon and eel sushi were good while the tuna sushi was just okay. (2) I prefer the dragon roll than Philadelphia roll. (3) The udon was very springy and chewy but I wish they put less carrots. (4) The ton katsu was crispy and juicy.

I love this place. They have fast service, great food, and I love their happy hour deals. The miso soup is inexplicably delicious. They have a good selection of rolls. It is a casual place to get your sushi craving satisfied.

Amazing service, wonderful food 10/10. Everything was seasoned well, even the miso soup had a lovely flavor without being salty. The Mexican roll was a winner, great balance of spice and tempura.

Update review - went back in June 2022 - no AYCE, which was disappointing, but the rolls were good! Their specialty rolls are the way to go. I didn't eat anything I didn't like. Small inside, but never a seating problem. Staff was attentive. Review from 2018- We were seated and within 1 minute served hot miso soup! Perfect for a cold day. Every roll was high quality! Fresh ingredients. We did all you can eat... not of ton of rolls, but seriously good! The wasabi was creamy and so good!

This is such a great place. The sushi is delicious, and their half off special allows you to experiment. The kissme, dragon, and soft shell crab are my favorites. Not high end but hits the spot every time!!!

We waited for over 45 minutes to get our food. During that time we did not get any refills. When I went up to the front counter to check on our food, our ticket was just sitting there and our server didn't seemed to care or apologize. At that point we walked out

Excellent sushi, service and so clean. I highly recommend them. We love their happy hour especially because the sushi is half price. We will continue to go there when we crave sushi.

I love the sushi and all you can eat is the best. It's worth the wait but it gets really busy there so I can't be upset about it.

Enjoyed half-off Saturday. Shared three rolls, edamame, and seaweed salad. It was good.

I have been going here for years and never have I left disappointed or hungry. Our service was exceptional even though there was a full dining room.

Fantastic food and cold beer! First time there and will definitely be back again!

Great prices for the sushi and the nigiri. Happy Hour is also the best for people on a tight budget but want great food! Also worked great for allergy modifications, i.e. Shrimp.

Edible. Priced a little high for the small portions. Would not be my regular go to place.
