Best sushi I've EVER tried! My family and I were there (there were about 24 of us) and half of them were kids (including my three nieces) and all of us loved the sushi show the chef, Geno, put up for us! From the flames to the sushi tossing into our mouths, it was spectacular! 10/10 would recommend. It was also my birthday when I visited so that was my best birthday yet! I look forward to many more adventures like this one here!
It's easily some of the best sushi I've eaten in Tucson. Hana Tokyo is very clean. It is located in a good spot and family-friendly. They have a sushi bar, a hibachi, and a regular menu, so there is a lot going on. I ordered the Vegss and the Mexican rolls, and they were delicious! My server was very patient with me, as it was my first time eating there, and she was the one who suggested I try the rolls I got. Do yourself a favor and check it out.
We have been here so many times now! My kids love the sweet potato roll. The food is so good the service is awesome!! The place is so clean and so calming. We've gone at lunch and the lunch specials are a good deal and a great variety. My son is a very picky Eater but loves the chicken Katsu on the kids menu. Very big kids portion btw which is awesome cuz my 2 lil ones can share a bento box and it's the right amount.

Went out for a friend's birthday and had a great time. The atmosphere was nice, staff friendly, and delicious food. We definitely recommend the fried ice cream, Blushing geisha and Gummy bear mixed drinks. Our bill including tip was about $190.
The only input I have is that my utensil set that was wrapped in a purple cloth napkin had a 6 inch ~ blonde hair rolled up in it. It also had a white-ish stain on it. Not exactly sure what that could be but it seemed like smeared food. The hair couldn't have possibly been ours as we all have dark hair. It was not our servers' either as she also had dark hair.
I like cloth napkins but prefer disposable as they are easier to restock. Not only that but we like to clean up after ourselves and we were limited to the 1 cloth napkin. Maybe rolling 2 would be an idea. Using 2 paper napkin with a ring is also a good choice.
The empty side/sauce dishes were a little wet. My sauce dish had food on it unfortunately, so I opted to not use it rather than send it back.
The drinks menu is a little crinkled sheet with a lot of dead space. It could be made into half the size. There's no need for images but they seem like a nice addition.
Overall our lunch was great 👍 We had a great time and the server was amazing. The food was very well done. We will definitely be going back :)
We thought about leaving when we first arrived, fue us standing at the front of the restaurant and 2 servers/waitresses looking at us but not acknowledging us at all! We stayed because I wanted my wife to try it, we waited like 7-9 minutes of back and forth eye contact but no acknowledgement. But when seated the waitress we had was polite(was not one of the other 2 waitresses). The food was delicious but expensive.
I've been going here since basically the day they opened, probably about 15 years ago or so. I was a kid at the time, and this place still remains a comfort food option for me. By far the best sushi I've had in Arizona, and the staff is always great. The hibachi is always a fun experience as well.

First experience at a hibachi grill for my birthday and so far better than expected. Food tasted awesome and will definitely be coming back.
Josue was amazing!!!! When we come back we will definitely be sitting at his hibachi table. He made us laugh, and made the entire experience one we really loved
Food was exceptional steak were juice and tender shrimp cooked to perfection the lobsters was a little over done but still great taste and veggies were cooked just right not under or over cooked and there California roll was the perfect appetizer,, the waitress was courtius and friendly I wish I could say the same for the receptionist but apart from that was a nice experience it's a little price but it's worth every penny will definitely be coming back.
