I had heard several people mention that La Cave's had the best doughnuts in town. I was trying to decide what I wanted and the nice lady behind the counter offered me one of their regular glazed doughnuts. It was quite good. The lady explained they use vegetable oil to cook their doughnuts. I decided on an apple fritter. You can see from the pictures above that the fritter is more round than flat, but it was delicious nonetheless. They also appeared to have a full service bakery as well. The food was good, and the service was excellent.
This doughnut shop just reopened not too long ago and the doughnuts are just how I remember them. They are fluffy, sweet, and melt in your mouth.
My personal favorite is the apple fritter. Two years ago I would stop by Le Cave’s after baseball practice every weekend and I would pick up a box full of apple fritters, maple doughnuts, and glazed doughnuts.
I highly recommend this doughnut shop. They have a wide variety of delicious doughnuts. Also, I talked to the new owner and found out that all of the doughnut recipes are exactly the same as they were before Le Cave’s moved locations.
You may never have a doughnut in your life that is as delicious as the Whipped Cream Bismarck at Le Cave's. Their unfilled donuts are good, but they really shine with the fillings.
Now I think I need a doughnut.
The Vegan doughnuts are amazing, they taste better than regular ones. The hours are difficult and short, but it makes sense and is still most definitely worth it.
LeCave's is vegan without being trendy, and so delicious. I heard these donuts are 99% gluten free too. I like the apple fritters and plain glazed the best. They also have tres leches and cookies and cakes. The only better bakery in Tucson is La Estrella, whose goods are not vegan, or gluten free, but less sugary.

It doesn't look like much on the outside, but this place is packing some delicious baked goods in the inside. The flakey croissants are my favorite, but they are only made on weekends.
Not only do they make the best tasting doughnuts in town but their awesome customer service is “the icing on the doughnut”. 😊
Today was my very first visit...and OMG...the staff were sooooo friendly and what can I say about their doughnuts besides WOW...simply the BEST I've ever had!!!! We got a variety of items and had to wait for glazed to be done and were given a free dozen just for having to wait...this is now our ONLY doughnut place!!!

Wonderful donuts! And I was sceptical, them being vegan or whatever. Reasonable pricing for a dozen. Also a nice selection of empanadas.
