Lunch at Ba-Dar was delicious as usual: Gyoza & Sizzling Rice Soup. And copious! — I took half of it home. Everything I’ve ordered over the years has been fresh, hot and tasty, and the rather lengthy menu offers many choices. Not at the level of those really great bay area restaurants (where the golden-grilled block of rice really sizzles), but this is probably the best Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in Tucson. The servers are really nice, friendly and efficient. Restaurant is clean, atmosphere is calm and pleasant.
Great service! Great food and Oolong tea. But server was a little fast on clearing out those dishes. Give your customers just a little more time to eat and enjoy!

I would like to see more vegan options, but they do have a few. My family loved the soups, both veggie noodle & hot and sour, as well as the Hunan dishes. The staff are very friendly. Service was quick. The atmosphere is peaceful.
My daughter (non-vegan) and I (vegan) had a wonderful lunch at Ba-Dar yesterday. They modified the lunch special by offering white or brown rice instead of the usual pork fried rice and added tofu to my dish of snow peas and mushrooms for extra protein. Both my daughter and I had enough food to eat as a second meal. The service was excellent and very efficient. I highly recommend Ba-Dar Chinese restaurant.
The service is good, I like the food in general. Hot and sour soup is also warm and has flavor. Portions are large but Mongolian beef has a lot of onion. A lot of sauce with the meals. I would dial back the salt for all the meals. Maybe I’ll come back on an empty stomach.
The food here is absolutely amazing. I love the fried rice and the amount of shrimp is always just right. I always get the bang for the buck here. Never disappointed.
This was my first time try this Restaurant. They had an ample menu with loads of choices.

Iced tea and canned Sprite for drink...good, though wish I had brought my Stevia for the iced tea.
I can highly recommend this restaurant. Two people, two dinners, two drinks, one appetizer...$45-$50 before tip.
WOW - the beef chow fun was amazing! I was able to easily order online and it was ready when I arrived. The staff was warm and friendly. I will be back!
Excellent food and service. Website isn't the greatest though. It's really only meant for online ordering. You can't see the menu on the website except for under the ordering feature. At least this is how it is on an android phone. And when you pickup your order to find out that if you phoned in the order you would have gotten free food. They can't do that if you order online because the ordering platform keeps 20% of the sales. I suggest they change the website to be more friendly for their customers and themselves. Don't encourage online ordering. They don't like that they lose this revenue either.
But the food is excellent. The place is busy, take out is busy. Highly recommend. But call if you want pick up.
This is a traditional older establishment that while it has its value, the atmosphere needs some updating and better temperature control. The food and service was absolutely amazing.
I’m gonna go ahead and say that this is the best Chinese food in Tucson. Passed it for as long as I’ve been alive but unfortunately for me I’ve only just recently tried it. Been craving it ever since. Cant wait to go back!

This restaurant has the freshest quality of food. I have been to other Chinese restaurants in Tucson with more flavor, the freshness of their food is poor. I prefer this place for better quality of food, atmosphere and service. Top notch.
