One of our favorite spots for Mexican food. Friendly people, great food, huge portions!
Great Vegetarian Selections. There aren't many Mexican restaurants that have a vegetarian section on the menu. They have offerings with vegetarian chorizo--one of my favorites. Right now they have a special for $5 guacamole or queso fundido. I also eat fish and their fish tacos on corn tortillas are delicate and lovely--$1.99 each. I got the nachos once and it could've fed four people. It's a local, single location restaurant. No complaints, only compliments. Sometimes I hear a woman singing from the kitchen. :)
Really good tacos. You might have passed this place several times and thought nothing of it, but it's really cure inside and there's a garden patio with a fireplace.
They have areally decent happy hour the problem is that every time I go I'm confused as to what the happy hour specials are. Three dollar margaritas, dollar chicken tacos and two dollar beers are some of the specials. An amazing Queso fundito for 5 dollars with chorizo and mushrooms, yum. If you really want to go all out you can get one of their regular margaitas which look more like a small fishbowl than a drink. My all time favorite on the menu is the Pork Chicharone tacos, OMG so good. Deep fried chunks of carnitas on a "imported" delicious corn tortilla. Don't let the size fool you they are small but very satisfying. And I like big portions. Go to La Botana, it's really good.
Delicious!. I've never written a review before, but I want local Tucson restaurants to succeed, especially the good ones! We went there for lunch and it was delicious. The chips, salsa, and bean dip are well worth the .99. Great Horchata, too. We both did 'build your own burritos' and were pleased with the flavorful meat and fillings. The prices are very affordable. We'll be back!
Great dining experience. The misters were off so we chose to sit inside. Shrimp tacos, steak tacos, chicken, bean dip, salsa, pico de gallo were all awesome. As other reviewer stated, the 2 for 1 Margaritas on the weekends are amazing!! Highly recommend. Don't let the location or outside appearance deter you.
Botana. Oh man, this place is amazing. Great food, delicious drinks and friendly service. Go for the 2 for 1 margaritas every weekend, you will not be disappointed!!
The bean dip is really delicious, and the is a many choices of salsa’s to try. The dark brown one was fire, so be careful with that one. We had guacamole and the chicken nachos. Both were very good. I would go go back.

THE BEST. We were welcomed the minute we walked in and treated like family. The food is to die for, they have a salsa bar which is unlike any other restaurant. Came back a second time and Cesar recognized us and acknowledged us which made us feel at home. (We’re a long way from home-CT) Our waiter Mario was attentive and had great recommendations. Our new favorite spot, no questions asked.
I had my doubts because the options were limited but everything we ordered was AMAZING! great drink specials and delicious salsas at the salsa bar. Will 100% go back soon!
One of my favorite and go to spots for a deliciously prepared chicken quesadilla!! Great staff and chill outdoor vibe! Plus salsas are on point and chips and dip that are served from the start are on point. Oh and lemme not forget the Horchata, best in town!

We have been here visiting AZ for a month and this is the only restaurant we went to twice. The service is outstanding, the food is expertly made and delicious. We proclaimed this to be the best flan in Tucson. Go here, you will thank me later.
We reserved the patio for a private party and were blown away by the excellent service, food, and drinks! The manager met with me ahead of time to go over the menu for the event. Day of, she and her staff made sure that our group of roughly 50 people were well taken care of throughout the entire event! I truly appreciated how easy it was to work with management, and have all of my expectations exceeded. Our group was able to show up and thoroughly enjoy themselves! Thank you La Botana!!!
Five years ago, I lived in the neighborhood. La Botana was, truly, the best part of the area.
Returning, I can only say that La Botana has gotten even BETTER. Many times, when a restaurant is trying to prove themselves, they go all out in the beginning, but get lax, as time goes on. Not La Botana! The food is still amazing, the service warm and friendly and the decor is bright and festive. The only things that I see, that have changed, over the years, has been that the presentation of the food has become more appealing and presented with an artistic flair. Oh, and the glassware did change, but the Uber Margaritas are still nearly as big as my head (and 2 for 1 EVERYDAY)!
It was worth the drive from the far NW side, to return to one of my favorite restaurants. And as a plus, they are pet-welcoming on their heated patio.

They are moving to a new location soon, but we enjoyed the current outdoor patio. A little noisy, but it was fine. The food was excellent, they had great vegetarian options and the drinks were delicious and refreshing. We'll be sure to find them again when they move
Our friend found this place! We will definitely be back! The margaritas are big and they do a buy one get one and it's $22 Our friend had a food allergy and they were awesome accommodating! The lady waiting on us was super sweet! She had to deal with my husband picking a different meat for each taco because he wanted to try all of it! Haha over all we will be back! We had great service and great food! It's in a really sketchy part of town... But worth the trip! Explore their different flavors of margaritas!!! They changed their menu a little and it's phenomenal!! A little more expensive but you get a lot more food now!! They also do great birthday celebrations!!
I come to this place with Friends most of the time. Great atmosphere, amazing people ready to attend for anything even for a quick chat. I ordered the Carne Asad Percheron and it was delicious. Great variety of food and drinks.
