Review Taco Giro - Tucson

I ordered oysters in a half shell. They were delicious. Then I ordered the guacamole and it was the best I have ever tasted. Ended with white menudo. It was good. I only wish they had green onions instead of white onions.

Pro Tips: -Get an Agua Fresca or beer, it’s a must have to complete the experience -Bring a Spanish speaking frequent, service will be better lol -Go for the combination plate, best way to get a taste of every element. Lets you know what you want next time. At first this seems like a typical local restaurant that serves mexican food. However, the scale of the menu is massive and the quality of food is highly competitive given the options available. You are guaranteed to find something you like and will enjoy. Even the unlimited complimentary chips and salsa are so good that you might accidentally eat your way to a full stomach without even ordering. The Horchata at this place is also 🔥 🔥. Definitely, give it a try.

We are COVID Conscious and they have good outside seating (call a head)! The menu is AWESOME. Spanish first and english last. LOVE IT. The food? Awesome and so much. The menu is a lot to take in. I had the Mix Fajita and LOVED it. You will need to add your own hot sauce and they provide. I have so much to take home. I will definitely be back to sample more of the great food.n

I've had mixed experiences here with my most recent one being the poorest. The menu is HUGE! There are tons of amazing options but it can be overwhelming to make a choice. On my various trips I've had: culichi enchiladas, homerun! (Shrimp and pablano sauce) Taco Giro combination plate. Very good. Enchilada and tamal were my favorite Molcajete mixto: a heated stone bowl filled with nopalitos, shrimp, chicken, beef, avocado, peppers and queso fresco. Plates of tortillas beans, rice and condiments on the side. I've seen the molcajete come out to other customers on other visits and it usually comes out sizzling like fajitas do but this one didn't. This was my first experience with a molcajete and the food on top was beautifully presented but I didn't realize all the sauce was in the bottom for a while and that left me with the impression the food was bland. That wasn't my issue with the visit though. It was our server. She was not attentive or friendly and left me with the distinct impression she didn't care to pay much attention to us. Drinks weren't checked on. She kept staring at her watch while at our table. Came very fast at the beginning and tried to take our order moment after we were seated then was difficult to find for most of the visit when we wanted more napkins or when we were ready for carry out container and our check. I asked if she would please put the remaining food from the molcajete into the container for me because the base was hot and I was wearing nice clothes. She stated they don't pack leftovers since Covid. I find that hard to believe since there is no more risk to it than clearing the table. She gave the impression of not wanting to be helpful the entire visit. I was and always am friendly and so was my party. I don't treat waitstaff poorly but she was a disappointment. We will be back because we like the atmosphere and food. Hopefully if she is our server again she's having a better day.

Everyone enjoyed their meal which is rare for my family. They don't bring your check. You just go to the cash register to pay. We are definitely planning to come back! We're adding it to our list of great Mexican food places to take out of towners.

This was our first visit, and it was fantastic! Great food...way too many choices...great, friendly service. Will definitely be going back!

Overall the food was very good, but the prices are just so high. The workers weren't super welcoming or easy to work with, but it was later in the day so speaks to reason. Spent 50 bucks for 3 people, so just prepare to use your wallet extensively 😂

Seemed authentic to me. The menu is primarily in Spanish, with English added. They have covered outdoor seating in a nice roofed patio. Friendly service. Their menu is huge with plenty of food and drink variety. We tried the Caldo Pollo, Chicken Quesadilla, Sope, Pescado Taco. All were fresh and delicious, with large portions.

This place gets better and better every time. Don't get it confused with other locations because they are not to be compared in my experience. Nicely updated enclosed patio seating. Staff is always really friendly. Food is always fresh and delicious.

Took a chance as I have passed this restaurant while working down here from Phoenix. Food is really good, and the service was very prompt even though I walked in for a take out. The hostesses were all very friendly and polite. Atmosphere could use some work, lacks some personality.

We had a group of 20 people. Carmen, our waitress was friendly on her toes and fast. Everyone's food was delivered on time, and it was nice and warm. I highly recommend Taco Giro on Grande/St Mary's.

First time diner. Quite impressed with the massive menu options, something for everyone's tastes and interests. I chose #30 and was surprised at how large the portions were and the presentation was very nice.

Best Mexican food in Tucson. Small and family owed. Great service and prices. Loved it and plan to return when I am in Tucson again, real soon!

Large portions. Pretty good food. Fair price. A little loud and the bathroom was dirty/sticky but everything else was good.

The service was fast and good. The Michelada was my favorite part. The food was ready really fast and it was tasty and decent. I think I'll try their seafood next time. It looked very appetizing. Overall a decent place for more authentic Mexican food.

Food is excellent!!!! So many choices and the menu looks so real to make it really hard to decide! You get your food fast also! Great place for mexican and seafood!
