I routinely drive out from green valley. It's worth the drive. Josh is who we had as a server last time and this time Heather. Doing an update because the service and food is so good I wanted to put pictures of the large quantities. Plus great prices. Bacon ranch is house made. Yummm. And their pies are so good too. The manager Paul who works only on Sundays actually table touches. This place is very much so loved by me and my family that my son begs to come.

I hadn't visited a restaurant in several months with my daughter and oldest grandsons until this Day. It was the perfect setting and we enjoyed the food , service and surroundings. Our server was excellent and prompt with ease.

Our server Jay was fantastic. He was very friendly and attentive. It was almost as if he knew what we were thinking and needed before we said it. He made sure that the food was just to our liking also. The food and atmosphere were great overall.

This was our first time coming here. We had a great server, everyone in the kitchen was organized and on board. The food temperature and quality was great! The portions are very generous so make sure to keep that in mind if your considering having dessert. We will definitely be coming back in the near future. Went for my birthday and had a very nice evening as always. Our server, Josh, was very personable and was polite and attentive. He made my daughter laugh too. I had the apple cobbler for dessert and it was HUGE. The seasonal cinnamon hot chocolate was delicious and the Santa Maria tri-tip was exquisite as always, even the next day for leftovers! The ranch dressing has bacon chunks in it and is the best ranch ever.

I wish I could drop more stars! This was the absolute best breakfast I've ever had out! I ordered "THE GRIZZ" two pancakes (I substituted biscuits and gravy) two sausage links, two thick bacon slices, a chunk of ham, and, a huge serving of the world's best hasblh browns (well done and crispy). My wife had a smaller meal. "Classic 2 egg combo. 2 eggs, hasbrowns, and sauasge with a biscuit and gravy! I was so stuffed. I had to take one biscuit home. I couldn't finish! It was big enough for two people to share but I devoured it. My meal was $15 bucks. With all the sides and extras at Dennys, it would have been probably $20 if more, and nowhere near as good! Jeremy aka Jay was our waiter. He was immaculate! On time l, kind, polite, helpful, There before we even knew we needed him. Give this man a raise!

First off, we were shocked “The Original Scramble” isn’t the number one seller. This plate is packed with the most delicious gravy you’ll ever have! You won’t be disappointed.
The staff and service were extremely friendly and pleasant. Can’t wait to try something next!

I visit once a month while my pup is getting a bath. I always feel welcome when I walk in. The staff are really friendly and it almost feels like visiting a friend while at work. The food is delicious and always appealing.

Our server Jose was great! The entire team of servers were busy as can be. Unfortunately the manager used a condescending tone and was the only team member not hustling, this was unpleasant and detracted from our otherwise positive experience. Put Jose in charge, his people skills were impressive.
Mgr - you have a solid team of motivated servers, no need to be disrespectful as you stand and observe how busy they are, maybe lend a hand? Otherwise, our breakfast was good.

The service was very good. We were seated quickly. There were 6 of us, and an abundance of food. My wife and I ordered coffee with our meal. Neither one of us liked it. I couldn't water it down enough. We did decide we would go back again. They have something for everyone. The menu has a diverse selection.

Nothing to complain about! Nothing to rave about! Great little diner with a cozy atmosphere with friendly service! Have visited several locations in several states and would definitely visit again for diner food. Cobbler wasn't that great so try a different dessert maybe.

Lots of food options. Something for everyone. Each time I eat here, I've been happy with my selection. Patrons seem to enjoy themselves. Casual and family-friendly place. Service is always friendly and attentive...at first. You get kind of forgotten, though, after your food and condiments have been given to you. Want a drink refill? You'll need to get a server's attention first to ask for one (maybe a management directive to keep drink costs down? Dunno.).

We picked up our Thanksgiving meal and it was perfect. Very organized pick up area and efficient for how busy it was. Good food but a little light on the side dishes. Lots of turkey and big piece of pie. We were very pleased and will do it again .

Stay away from this place unless you want to take the risk of food poisoning! First time there and we had a 30 minute wait time even though they had a lot of open booths and tables. The wait staff seriously act like they rather be someplace else.
Now on to the food! The biscuits and gravy was ice cold!!! The biscuits were more like off brand dinner rolls and they were hard covered in ice cold gravy! The eggs looked like something hatched and cooked from a rubber chicken! The coffee looked and tasted like mud! When I asked for some coffee that wasn't so strong he brings me hot water to put in it. The chicken waffle ......lol.......that slab of crap thrown on that waffle looked like a slab of over cooked grease and it was cold!! The only ones who might enjoy this place will be the older folks in there 80's who have lost their taste buds or people who don't know what good food is! We left ....and went to Cheddars! I highly suggest Cheddars! Great place to eat! Everything made from scratch and there food is consistent and there wait staff friendly. I am reporting Black Bear to the health dept before someone gets sick!

I have been to Black Bear Diner twice now. Both times we got the same server and she's great. The person that seats you get your drink order and then your server comes by and I asked you if you know what you'd like to order. The menu is a newspaper which is cool! The portions are huge! The value is awesome! And the food is delicious! Your server makes your dessert! They have gifts for sale too!! If you haven't been you need to go because it's really a great place to have a great meal and a good time!!

Have been here several times, though never early in the day. Had 40 minute wait, it turned into an hour wait because someone crossed our party of 8 off the list. Food was good our server was amazing. Will definitely come back though not for brunch.

We arrived there mid afternoon and although they didn't seem to be that busy we still had to wait for a table for over 10 minutes. Maybe they were short waiters. The food was good. I had the Patty Melt and Sweet Potato Fries. There was a lot of food, so brought half of it home for another meal. Prices are average. Service was good once we were seated.

I do like the food but the wait staff does seem to be uninterrested in their jobs. The only other negative comment is that the floors are always very dirty. This could be a great place if management had more input with the staff. I have been here 5 times now, but it hasn't changed.

The sandwiches at our table--BLT, Patty Melt, and Club--were all great. The sides were good too, slaw and especially the sweet potato fries--all yummy. Service was fast from our friendly wait person. We enjoyed the clean and bright dining area with cute decor, and the prices were very reasonable. What a huge menu, and I especially appreciated the lite side menu options. One cobbler dessert was big enough for three of us to share, and delish! All in all, a great place to eat--can't wait to go again!

From the moment we ordered until we actually got our food was quick. I ordered a meatloaf dinner. It was delicious. My mom ordered BBQ ribs and enjoyed every bite. Our server, Chris, was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.

The customer service was phenomenal; however, the portions were disappointing. My father got a Reuben and onion rings, when his plate arrived, it was no more than 3 mediocre rings and a small sandwich. Now, I got the bacon cheeseburger salad and it was huge. Of course, I was pleased, but, no so much when I had stomach problems that are usually due to MSG sensitivity.

Went in there last night, Ordered a Bacon pancakes and a Double bacon blast to go Only to get home to find out the bacon was not cooked all the way�one side was cooked and one side was raw,It was very disappointing

When I arrived there were families waiting to go in as being a small family we were seated right away, thank goodness for small tables, The food was great and service the same. My only question is why is there No Military Discount? The diner is with in 10 miles of a Military Installation.
