Review Persian Room Tucson - Tucson

One of the best Persian restaurants anywhere, certainly much more authentic than anything we got in California, at least the ones we went to. The Persian appetizer platter was amazing and the flour bread “naan” was perhaps the best I ever had. Just be careful not to fill yourself up as the food portions are huge. We ordered lamb loin with a side of lamb koobideh (which not many Persian restaurants in California have) and lamb shank with fava bean rice “baghali polo”. They were all super delicious. The only thing was that we expected to see a portion size we were used to in California but when the food arrived they were on a huge trays, we felt like royalties in ancient Persia. To be fair, our waiter, Mike, who was amazing, warned us not to fill ourselves up when we ordered additional naan. Naturally, we couldn’t finish it and the leftovers which we had it to go was itself a full meal for the next day. Just wished we had left some space for their baghlava and tea or other desserts. Add this place to your bucket list if you ever arrived in Tucson, Arizona

Absolutely fantastic meal in a beautiful setting. Definitely a place I will go back to when I'm in town again. I only happened to find it when looking for a special place to eat on Christmas Eve and was pleasantly surprised. Large portions of expertly prepared rice and chicken dishes, fresh bread and herbs, and excellent service.

This is one of the tastiest restaurants I have ever been to. The food comes in enormous portions, such that 1 entree is really enough for 2 people. I highly recommend the koobideh, a deliciously tender and juicy meat. The rice comes beautifully presented and is delicious as well.

The food was great, the atmosphere is really nice. It’s a big open space but you can hear yourself talk. The service was also really good. We had the hummus and it was really great. The pita with onions and fresh herbs was very nice. We got dishes to split and still had too much.

There are subtle difference between OK, good and excellent. The Persian Room is excellent. An elegant, attractive interior setting with soft classical music playing in the distance. A very relaxing ambiance. Our waiter was quiet and efficient, and also very helpful. When asked, he explained to our group of 5 what the different spices used were and what they added to each dish. I had the Lamb Koobideh which was truly excellent. I should have asked for a doggy bag, but didn't stop. Instead I ate the whole thing. The rice which accompanied the main course was also excellent. Another person in our group had the Lamb Hero and he also really enjoyed it very much. I'm planning my next visit to try it. For desert, I ordered the inexpensive vanilla ice cream. It was prepared with cinnamon and nutmeg topping and mixed with rose water. This sounded strange to me because I'm unfamiliar with Persian foods. However I ordered it anyway, while teasing others in our party about my being unwilling to share. The waiter overheard of course. Regardless, he brought extra soups. The reason became obvious. 3 very large "scoops", enough for the 5 of us to share. And absolutely delicious. The service wasn't just attentive, we found it at the level of an expensive resort restaurant. Though the prices were not high, instead at about the same level as a typical full-service restaurant. Here's an example to illustrate. I left my credit card in the delivery folder after paying my bill. We sat at the table for several more minutes and then, as we were leaving, I took a phone call from the lobby (quietly, but this a call I had to take). The call lasted 2-3 minutes and then I began leaving. Our waiter, who had been standing patiently about 10 feet away during the entire time quickly approached me and said "excuse me". I replied yes, expecting to be reprimanded for taking the call. Instead he smiled politely and handed me my credit card. Then thanked me for my visit. I of course was the one who should have been doing the thanking. I said this of course and he smiled. He then waited for me to leave rather than walking away. Like I said at the beginning, there are subtle differences that make any restaurant excellent vs. just good.

The food was great! The servings were huge. The hummus was amazing. We ordered lamb shish beef kubideh and gyros, they were all wonderful! My daughter had the kid's pasta, she still ate 1/2 even though she was still somewhat full from a snack. The staff was very attentive. Good atmosphere.

I tried this restaurant the first couple days I came to Tucson. The waitress was so nice and friendly. The food portions are really big. Each meal is enough for 2 people or more. We ordered appetizer plat and another main plate. Both were so good. We were two people and we had leftovers that were enough for the next day lunch 😋 for the next time I’ll try something else as they have many choices. Will come again for sure.

I discovered Persian Room Fine Dining back in January and instantly fell in love. It is my favorite restaurant in the Tucson metro area. The atmosphere is elegant and relaxing with soothing background music. The food is delicious, abundant, and exquisitely plated. The pita bread, freshly baked onsite, is one of my favorite parts of the meal and makes an excellent pairing with the plate of onion, cilantro, basil, and mint served before the entree. Friendly and knowledgeable servers are happy to answer any questions about the menu. I like that they are open not only for dinner, but lunch as well. Though I live in the Los Angeles area, work brings me to Tucson on a regular basis and I always look forward to coming here for a delectable, healthy meal and fine dining experience.

Excellent food and experience. We had the Gyros plate and Gheimeh Bademjan, a vegetarian stew. Both were excellent. A nice deep wines by the glass menu and all were good (Australian Chard, Italian Pinot Grigio, Australian Shiraz) - best of all was the attentive service.

The restaurant was very busy the night we dined. Most tables were filled with 6 or more customers. Even though the service was slow because they had only 3 servers, the waitress was very pleasant, took care of us to the best of her abilities, and kept apologizing for not being more attentive. Then the food came out and I was even more impressed. I knew the kitchen had to be slammed, but despite this, the meat was cooked to perfection--not dry, tender, and delicious. We have eaten Persian food pretty often because my husband's best friend is Persian and we have had many meals at his friend's mother's home. In our opinion, it is the best Persian restaurant in Tucson. This was our second visit to the Persian Room and we are already planning to return.

This restaurant deserves 5 stars beginning with the ambiance and great customer service with care. Great for all kinds of occasions or even dates, waiting on your food takes less time while your surroundings captivates you. The super clean and welcoming atmosphere and food gives you a feeling of dining in an exotic place on a vacation.

One of the best restaurants in Tucson-no question about it! The food is always scrumptious and so authentic, and the service is always extremely kind and thoughtful. The restaurant inside is also stunning, and super clean. This restaurant is a must go!

Lots of vegan options. Food was tasty. Good service. For the price point the portions are large and satisfying.

Ambience was amazing, front host is extremely welcoming with beautiful braided hair, our server Patrick was kind, informative, & funny. Rafael had great knowledge of our food & showed us how to eat the bread with herbs he could not have been nicer or more attentive. This place is warm, welcoming & comfortable with an epic staff to match. We got the #50 & split the food. Turkish coffee was sipped on throughout the meal & we look forward to being back
