This place lives up to it's reputation as the best place to get a Sonoran hotdog! The service was quick and friendly. Would definitely go back again!

First impression when walking in, casual, very clean, and spacious. Loads of seating. We try to stop in whenever the urge hits. The Sonoran dogs always look delicious and taste delicious! This time, we ordered the special, which was three Sonoran dogs for $9.99. Awesome price, and perfect for us. My husband usually orders a Sammy (which has two bacon wrapped hotdogs in one bun). I am always satisfied with one. Toppings are always fresh, bolillo buns are always soft and we always share a fresh horchata drink. I just have to comment that we were there on Sunday and the owner stopped in. He walked by and asked how we were and if we had what we needed. He also stopped at the other tables . We were so impressed to see him on a Sunday, checking in. It just shows he cares and stays in touch. It's no wonder the food and customer service are top-notch. We highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

This has been one of my favorite Mexican eateries for years. If you are bringing visitors and want an experience that is more like being in Mexico, I would recommend the one in South Tucson, but all of the locations serve good traditional Sonoran Mexican food

Meh. It's a hot dog. A messy hot dog. You can add as many flavors or toppings as you like, doesn't change the basic fact. I don't get what all the hype was about, that made a "Sonora Dog" any different from any other hot dog I've ever eaten. Granted, it was a good dog. Served pretty quickly. Clean place, no worries. But nothing to write home about.

Awesome salsa and flour tortillas. Tacos are stuffed to the max with meat. Sonoran dog was good, but nothing to write home about. Great place to eat if you’re passing by.

Great food. Love the Sonoran style hotdogs. Had the bean burrito as well. Excellent with cheese. It's not a fancy place, but where it counts (food), is where it's at.

I always love coming here. The food is amazing as always. The only thing I have a complaint about is the women's restroom was out of order and so we used the men's. It was very dirty, it needed a good detailing. They have an amazing salsa bar with fresh limes and shredded cheese. Thanks for the amazing food as always.

I happened to try el güero on national hot dog day so my positive experience may have been influenced by the great deal they were running. But I thoroughly enjoyed my first Sonoran dog and the second one too! My wife said it was one of the best hot dogs she has ever had! That's no small statement as we have been trying lots of great dogs from all over.

A taste of Tucson! When I first walked inside El Guero Canelo, there was a simplistic and large ordering board. I chose the famous Sonoran Hot Dog and a medium sized carne asada burro. Other members of my party ordered a chicken burrito. The grande burro looked like too much food unless you don't want anything else off the menu for the same visit. In the lobby area of the restaurant displayed was a variety of self-service salsas, veggie toppings and chilies. The condiments bar was very clean and offered gloves for each individual as to not spread germs. It was also very generous as you can get as much condiments as necessary for main food items. The bread the dog was on is really fresh made from wheat harvested in the Sonoran desert. The dog itself is bacon wrapped topped with beans, green chilies and a pico de gallo like mix. The burro was made out of durable flaky tortilla and filled to the brim with meat and cabbage. The burro was also nice and hot. The chicken is somewhat plain and I would avoid it. All other meats here are generous with unique flavors. When I think El Guero Canelo I really feel the flavors and spirit of Tuscon. It will not disappoint.
