I know everyone goes for the uglies, but have you splurged on the rib eye? Excellent quality steak right there! Beyond the steak, they have every type of meat imaginable. If I can't find it anywhere else, I know I can get it at Dickmans. Veal, gator, whatever. Its all there. And they sell sausage casings if you are into making your own. The service here has also always been top notch. The guys are very helpful and knowledgeable. Love this place!
This is my favorite meat and deli shop in Tucson. The staff is friendly and they know their meat. Jans steaks, ugly steaks, double baked potatoes and Cali style marinated tri-tips are a few of my favorites, and their Boar's Head sandwiches for lunch are no joke.
Great butcher shop with a wide selection of meats like elk, bison, wild boar, etc. The meat is great and not that much more expensive than most grocery stores. It's definitely worth it if you like a great cut of meat.

Dan's Ugly steaks. The best steaks you can find anywhere, bar none. Tried various stuff there and I've never been disappointed. Wide variety of different meats; alligator, rabbit, turtle etc..
Try the femur bones for your dogs. Mine love them.

Love the ugly steaks! Ground sirloin is very good as well. Staff is fast and gets you out of there quickly. I did try some of their different sausage links, all were great!

First time visit, and let me tell you, the meat selection is out of this world. They have any meat you need, camel, alligator, kangaroo, traditional burgers and gourmet brats. Deli makes any sandwich you want. And they will tell you the best way to cook what ever meat you are looking for. I will definitely be coming here for all my BBQ food, this place beats your local supermarket!

This place is delicious. Prices are way beyond on point. It reminds me of an east coast meat shop/deli. You can order your lunch and pick up some dinner steaks as well. The staff was very friendly. Store/restaurant was clean. Will come again. If you're within a couple miles worth the drive on your lunch.
What can I say? They're amazing! I am SO thankful to have them here in Tucson. I normally get their famous "Ugly Steak", which I have yet to find anything remotely close to anywhere else. We also LOVE venison and they have many cuts to choose from. Tenderloin is the best and I marinade and grill it just as I would a beef steak. It melts in your mouth! Also, you can grab fresh baked breads, seasonings, and if you're hungry there is also a deli where you can purchase fresh made pasta and sandwiches. They have many different domestic and game meats besides venison. Try it out!
They have a great 10 lbs ground beef for $20 deal. The ugly steaks are the best. Customer service is great. Lots of options. We come here for all our meat now. Also a good selection of spices and sauces.

These guys are from Wisconsin and know their meats. Ugly steaks are always excellent but they have a wide variety of fresh meats and deli items ... plus many frozen exotic meats. Quality at a reasonable price. Like an old time meat market. I always enjoy going to Dickman's.

I don’t know the Dickman family, but l know meat, and it’s great. This is a great butcher shop , that sells great sandwiches, not a restaurant , for those reviewers that turned up their noses at the few small tables, and gave bad reviews, although they never actually bought or ate at Dickmans, like Susan from Washington,. Susan ,the reviewer, who knew through telepathic power that the meat was bad although she did not actually buy anything . I also love homemade soups, which are hard to get , but Dickmans on Oracle, makes fresh homade soup everyday or every other day, and they are delicious.Even the specialty restaurants do not compare to Dickmans , fresh made daily soups . Today I have beef stew in a 12-16 Oz container, with at least 8-10 ounces of fresh cooked , chuck roast. I make great soups , but they do not compare to Dickmans. I don’t know how Dickmans make a profit with more than half a pound of meat per bowl of. soup serving. The serving is easily enough for 2 people and at 6-
7 dollars per bowl.

I know good meat, as I was raised on a family farm, so l have raised cattle , lambs, poultry and , game birds, all grass fed and no antibiotics, and butchered alongside my family since l was small. We come to Dickmans for New Zealand and Australian rack of lamb,alligator, and game birds, as southern food is very diverse . When we came to Tucson as military transfers inn1997, you could not buy bison , venison, pheasant, and anything else remotely exotic. Most Americans only eat beef , pork , and chicken or turkeys. We transferred to Tucson from a isolated tiny military and farm town where fresh bison, free range game birds , venison and elk were raised and butchered by family farmers . Dickmans was the only place that sold bison, even though it was cheap, and has more protein and less fat and cholesterol than chicken , and almost all meat . Thank you so much Dickmans for your service and making good healthy meat available. It was not until 12 -15 years ago that even bison and lamb , and venison started to be sold at Costco , and it’s no cheaper than Dickmans .
I was able to find some game meat. Decided to get me a pheasant for my birthday. And the sandwiches are wonderful. And they are very friendly and very kind help a handicap person. Had a wonderful experience there. I'm going to be going back again. I highly recommend this place.

Excellent selection of meats and deli products. Their trademark " Ugly Steaks" are easy to cook and are delicious. They also have great freshly prepared deli sandwiches available. We went back to buy more Ugly Steaks to grill this weekend!!
