Review Pita Jungle - Tucson

Great selection of healthy meals. The employee that I talked to was friendly and upbeat. My only complaint is that the food that I ordered-it was take out, a reasonably priced red quinoa salad with hummus type entree- was a bit on the salty side. I wasn't able to finish it because my stomach disagreed with me. I'd check this place out in the future for something else to order.

Were there mid-afternoon and there was only one other party in the room. We were greeted and seated immediately by a pleasant young man. Beverage,service was quick, questions were answered, we ordered and ten minutes later we were served. The pita was very good and the turkey kafta burger was a delicious surprise. The tabouli was really heavy on the parsley, which was different from previous Pita Jungle experiences, but it was still fresh and good. The service has always been good at PJ, even when we have been there at the busy lunch or dinner times.

My son ordered the salmon burger & we both loved it. The salmon dish that I also had was lovely with the hibiscus tea. Love that they had healthy options along with great ambiance & customer service was a win. Will be coming back for sure.

Service was great. Food was good and fresh. Only complaint was we had to battle flies from our food the entire time. Overall good experience

The food is so good. Love the variety of hummus and the kids meal is worth the price.The people working there are so friendly.

We love coming here because they are very accommodating to dietary restrictions. They also make changes to dishes based on those restrictions. The atmosphere is very laid back and airy which grants a sense of calm. Also, their Chai lattes with soy milk are very delicious.

Service was ok, but the food made up for it. Everything tasted fresh and wholesome. Portions were just right and the menu variety made a desire to go back.

Fast service and food was very good with healthy choices. We tried the pizza & fried vegetable salad which was very good.

Great meal! The price is reasonable, even more so when you see the portion sizes they give you! The food all tasted excellent and they offer a separate vegan menu as well which I appreciated. The interior was clean and had a beautiful decor. Our server was friendly and attentive despite being busy. All in all I loved it and want to come back soon. Very happy with the meal and the visit and will make this at least a monthly stop if not more frequently.

The food is really good here and healthy as well. I always order the gyro my favorites. The service is ok, could be better. They have a bar and great drinks as well.

Food was fairly priced. A very nice healthy alternative to greasy food 😋. I ordered a Philly steak bowl with some modifications, it was dry but the flavors were there. My associates ordered a spicy chicken wrap which was good but had no spice to it at all. Another associate ordered the organic red quinoa salad with celantro jalapeno, the flavors were there however the cilantro could have been fresher in my opinion the humus was decent. Also the kids menu is all healthy as well which is a nice change. I think overall it's a lovely environment not too loud and the upside if you are into art there are some amazing pieces all around. So I would definitely eat here again and see what other flavors may tickle my taste buds. Staff were not too attentive but overall they were polite. Went at lunch time which was not too busy surprisingly 😃.Last thing the spacing of tables for social distancing was great.

Nice lunch place. I really enjoyed the humongous Caribbean salad. Friendly service.

Stopped in because I had a yearning for sonething different. The food was delicious and I absolutely fell in love with the Turtle Chessecaske.

The food and our server was awesome, the only complain I have is the drinks. I ordered a margarita and it seriously was straight mixer. We told the waiter we tasted no tequila and he said there is no tequila, it's a "draft" margarita and they serve that instead cause it's healthier and most people like that taste better. What!? And I still got carded for that non-alcoholic margarita! He did took the drink off my bill and that was really nice of him. But then I ordered a whiskey sour WITH alcohol lmao and that still didn't have any taste of whiskey! Just lemon juice with a straight sour ass punch to the throat. Pita Jungle, your food and service is bomb! But you need a new bartender lol. If you're advertising happy hour, at least put alcohol in the drinks, lord.

We love the food at Pita Jungle, but even more I appreciate the transparency of their food prep and info in regards to ingredients. I took my granddaughter there for her birthday...her request. She's turning 6 and loves their food! I inadvertently ordered chicken instead of turkey from the kids menu and when it came I could see it was seasoned. She has multiple food allergies and the staff was so helpful in checking exact ingredients and then exchanging the meat for the one that it was safe for her to eat. And all that with a great attitude and much kindness to us. It is so appreciated! This (and the delicious food) is why we will keep coming back. Thank you so much!

From the moment we walked in we were warmly attended to. The hostess found a spot for 5 of us, the waitress, Michele was excellent and the food was amazing. I will definitely go here again.

1st time here. Great space, great food and prices. Staff was friendly. The long bench sofa to the left entrance, needs some TLC or replace, sorry black duct tape is unattractive and some chairs are torn, worn out. So dear owner, let's fix that. Otherwise nice place with greater potential!

Wow, this place is my new favorite restaurant in all of TUCSON! Not only is the decor cool inside and out, but the staff absolutely rock! I was out in Tucson for some IT work and completed it around 12:30pm and I remembered seeing Pita Jungle as I passed it going down Broadway to get to my job for the day. I decided to go there for lunch and grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender Kirsten greeted me and remembered me from last time I was there just before the holidays. She immediately grabbed me the Tropical Iced Tea that I had last time I visited and had a menu for me before I could ask her for it. Now, if you like curry...I recommend the coconut curry soup it is off the chain good! You won't be disappointed! I was originally going to order a salad but As I browsed the menu I saw that the had a Halibut plate, which sounded good! So I ordered the Halibut and the soup. I only managed to take a few sips off my iced tea when the soup arrived! I dived into it savoring every spoonful, as I was about half way finished with the soup, my Halibut arrived...of course with a big smile from Kirsten who wished me, Bon Appetite! I said to myself, wow that was fast service! So, after devouring the Halibut, I sat back and just enjoyed the moment. This is one of the best restaurants in Tucson I thought to myself! Great food, really cool employees, and really cool atmosphere! I would highly recommend Pita Jungle for all your corporate lunches or for friends with the afternoon off! Or if your just by yourself! And don't forget to stop by the bar and say hello to Kirsten and order your favorite drink!

I always love coming to Pita Jungle but yesterday we were there and there were so many flies, they kept landing on our food, us, our drinks and the people on both sides of us... it was pretty disgusting. I could of made something at home and eaten outside and ne pestered by flies, cheaper than 30 dollars for dining inside to avoid them but not avoided. Sigh*

They have some awesome Giros. I would very much recommend this restaurant..

We've been there so many times since they opened the Broadway location and I only have to complaint about the food once (there was a hair inside my wrap) but that didn't stop us from coming back... Yesterday (9/27/17) I went with my daughter and had a huge and delish California Beach Turkey Lavash!!

We really enjoyed the happy hour selection from 3-6. I had the baba ganoosh and chipotle chicken pizza. On regular hours, I've also enjoyed the Caribbean Salad and their Cilantro Jalenpeno Hummus.

Worst experience in a long time. Only 1st time eating here. Ordered a vegetarian pita(no cheese) and mushrooms togo. Get my order get out to my car feel moisture. Look in the bag. My sandwich was sitting on s bead of soggy mushrooms. I went back in ask them to remake it. While waiting( just myself, maybe 3 other people. Besides staff) no offer of water. It is 90° and your preparing my food for the second time. The cooks made rude comments i can hear. Finally happy to get my order home I take a bite. Its not until a feel violently sick that a realize they put 3 types of cheese on my sandwich. I have to drive all the way back to have the staff contuine to be rude...including management. I should not have to explain my dietary needs. The pretentious attude of the staff after such a mishap has made you restaurant the first ai will suggest people AVOID!

Becca was our server. I had a cold and was very cranky and I was all ready to be the customer from Hell but she was so spectacular she tamed me and I left 110% satisfied. Plus she put my tea in a to-go container without me asking. What service.

Food is always good however always seems service is slow! This time the server actually forget to put one of my friends order in at all!

My church family have went there a few times no bad experience. Today, went for lunch got there at 1pm and didnt get our food until almost 230. Had to take some dishes back because they did not do what i asked. I believe they got pissed and stalled our orders. Talk to the manager he acted he did not care. I dont know if it was my color or we were sending our food back. They cooks wère laughing the manager was a jerk. I will never go there again. To the waiter who help us was so nice we gave him a tip anways even though we got up and left without paying. Bad service and MANAGEMENT.

Today was our first time trying it and I must say we loved it and we'll be back.

Loved the gyro bowl!! Such healthy fresh food! Delicious!! 😋
