Wonderful food at Gentle Ben’s. The ceviche -like dish was delicious. Salads were good sized with nice lettuce and a great selection of beer. It definitely has a college feel to the pub - which makes sense being next to the university. Lots of inside and outside seating choices.

Very good restaurant and best location right in middle of UA campus restaurant/bar area. Service is attentive and friendly. Food is really good many many items to choose from. Beer is great. If you want to sit outside you can feel part of campus life while you eat/drink or else sit inside in the AC.

Massive nachos, enough for four people! Stopped in for lunch and decided to split nachos and have a beer. The nachos were good but a bit soggy with the pico they put on. We ended up getting the guacamole on the side.

Came in for brunch and I ordered breakfast which was delightful. My wife ordered the grilled chicken Ceasar salad and there was a quite a bit of gristle in there so she did not enjoy it so much. The peach Bellini was very good though. Great location and the outdoor patio area is very nice with the misters.

I've dropped in here perhaps a half dozen times in the last year when I'm in the area and want to catch a game.
The bartenders, supervisors, and door greeters are all friendly, seemingly conscientious, polite, and attentive - without being solicitous.
There's a nice selection of bottled beer, drafts, and seasonal selections. It's a full bar, of course, and I've noticed "designer cocktails" on their bar menu.
Seating is indoor/outdoor with a ringed bar that serves both, and the outdoor bar area is expansive - perhaps larger than the indoor seating. A good portion overlooks University Ave for the amateur ethologists and cable car enthusiasts. A separate indoor dining room is available, as well as an upstairs bar area.
Huge televisions are everywhere, and the staff is polite and helpful in accommodating requests for various channels and CC.
I don't believe I have ever sampled the food, nor the upstairs bar area.

This is a large, clean super sports bar within steps of a very large university. The clientele is what you'd expect, and the folks are fun-living, but I've never seen any unruliness, nor minor children!
This operation is clearly run by experienced restauranteurs who hire, train, and supervise the best young workers, who'll then go on to become our future professionals.

We held our daughter's Sweet 16th here on the entire Upper level & it was AMAZING! No one could believe we had gotten such a cool space in the awesome U of A area! The staff and managers were incredible - Eric & Katie made everything top notch! Every guest raved about the catering spread! Delicious! We are fans for life! Every age group absolutely loved the event! You will not be disappointed!

Service was eh like a 3.5/5 today. Management was absolutely a 5/5. Drinks were also a 5/5, vibe was a little aged, I’d say like a 4.5/5 and there was some strange characters and some commotion for viewing pleasure on Uni, unfortunately the preferred view was mostly unseen this visit. Great spot right next to campus nonetheless

Loved how clean this place was. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The food here was spectacular, the adult drinks are also very tasty. The burgers are fresh, big and full of veggies, cheese and sauce. The fries were seasoned perfectly and perfectly crisp. Loved the atmosphere as well as the helpful servers. Great stop for dinner to start your night on the strips.

This was my first time eating here and the experience was less than good. After being sat, we waited close to 10 minutes for our drinks order to be taken.. The appetizer we ordered was brought fairly quickly, and tasted fine. Our entrees were the main issue. I ordered a Carne Asada Quesadilla, a side of guac, rice, and beans. When I got my food, I had a cheese quesadilla, no rice, no guac, just beans. When asked what happened, the server said she thought I ordered a "solo" quesadilla.. which sounds nothing like what I ordered. The food I received tasted fine, but it wasn't what I ordered. My boyfriend ordered the California burger which he only ate half of because it was bland. When we requested to have our drinks refilled, the server brought us back our drinks, but our cups seem to have been switched. My tea was full of the lemons my boyfriend had in his water, and my boyfriends water tasted like tea from the little bit of tea I had left in my cup. I'm not concerned with sharing germs with him, but it is actually a serious issue to have switched the cups. It goes against the health code. The server was nice enough to remove my quesadilla from the bill, however, the overall experience was poor.

They had a good local beer selection, the staff was very attentive and friendly and the food came out quickly. The Carne Asada Steak was very flavorful and very tender, cooked exactly as I ordered it! The rice and beans were overcooked and crispy but they had such a good flavor that I ate them anyway! If it were not for the overcooked rice and beans they'd get the fifth star.

Amazing people, great service and delicious food.
I brought my two kids for dinner on Friday evening. I'm 35 and they are 10 and 7 (just saying that to let everyone know it's a totally family friendly place) The restaurant was very busy but we were seated very quickly by friendly staff and immediately received drinks and as soon as we were ready to order food someone was there to do it, professionally and with a smile on their face. The food was awesome. Perfect burger everything was Delicious.

Went to the Arizona bowl. Ate and drank at GB's before. Thank goodness we sat down 2 1/2 before the game. We would have missed the while first quarter instead of just kick off. �
Our waiter was polite and nice, when we saw him.
We waited way too long for our order to be taken.
I had the pork sandwich. I wish they would have named it the "burnt ends" sandwich.
It was similar to a pork jerky.
We also have the grilled fish tacos.
They were delicious.

Had a great lunch in between tours of the U of A campus. My husband had the portobello mushroom burger, which he really enjoyed. Our son had the California burger and he liked it. I did the Lizzy salad which had delicious flavor. On a side note my husband left his jacket and when we called hours later it had not been found. However I left my number and it was found and return to us. So sweet of them to follow up. Our waitress which I cannot remember her name (sorry) was really sweet. Also shared with us about U of A and her experience. Thanks everyone for a great lunch.

The atmosphere of this place is great. I was greeted by the host in a nice and friendly manner and seated right away. The food is great, came out hot and the portions are large. The Mexican food is great! Will definitely return to Gentle Bens.

We spent two evenings there and were pleased with the food and beverages and how amazingly quiet it was on St. Patrick's day. We didn't expect that at all and were somewhat baffled by it. Last night about 11:00 they put on some painfully loud music that we had to yell over. There was hardly anyone in the outside patio area so our assumption was that perhaps they were trying to drive the customers away.

Went to Gentle Ben's, for the first time, yesterday, to watch the University of Washington Husky game on tv. What friendly staff, great service, & very tasty food (I ordered the Cesar salad with chicken. It was delicious! Not too much dressing, flavorful, & the chicken was very flavorful)!
