Coyote Pause Cafe - Tucson - Photo album

What a great find! We popped in for lunch and had delicious tacos! The fish tacos were tasty- and the chicken tacos were the bomb!….all the ingredients were fresh and the wait staff were all friendly and efficient!
What a quaint little spot! Came in from Phoenix to hike in Tucson Mountain Park & Coyote Pause popped up as a nearby restaurant place to try. It was a drive west through more of the park (passed Old Tucson) & almost thought I was being misled by the map but low & behold Coyote Pause was right there.
What a wonderful restaurant. Simple menu and very friendly staff. The tacos were probably the best I have ever had. Enjoy!
Delicious food, tried the fish tacos and the coyote burger: everything was awesome! Fish tacos had awesome flavor combinations. Burger was huge and very filling. We waited a bit, about 40 minutes, but also had a large party so that may be why. They did have kids cups for beverages, but no kid menu o
The service for a bicyclist in need of food and water was fantastic. Jalapeño bacon was really tasty Mesquite pancake was worth going back for Sausage gravy was weird. Not much seasoning or sausage. Also, tasted a bit like they used premix biscuit flour, rather than flour in the gravy. Outside seat
Love the Jalapeño margaritas! Great food and service
It's a very busy cafe so be prepared to wait a tick for brunch- wait times seemed to average 15 to 30 minutes give or take. It probably didnt help a large group arrived right before we did. The staff is very friendly, portions make you feel comfortably full and the food was delicious. I had chilaqui
We really enjoyed the food...the Tamale Pie and the Mesquite Pancakes were great. The servers were very friendly, but the biggest drawback was how extremely slow everything was from the wait to give our order to the fact that we had to go up front to get our own checks after waiting 30 minutes. J
Very cute little Cafe in a beautiful setting. The food and service are very good and it is situated in a quaint motel with a gorgeous Sonoran garden.
The place definitely seemed understaffed when I arrived. My server more than made up for it with her attitude and attentiveness. The 3 people working at the time were all incredibly nice and helpful. 5 stars for service. The food, however, was average at best. Frozen burger, frozen fries. Very litt
Very kind and courteous staff, food is great too. Since we are allergic to pork, they cleaned off their griddle before cooking our food without being asked to. Tried their coyote burger, prickly pear coleslaw, and their lemon cake dessert. All very good and if highly recommend trying their food. B
The Coyote Pause Cafe has delicious food, excellent customer service, and a really cool southwestern atmosphere. I tried the Huevos Rancheros made with house-made tamale pie and it was amazing! As you check out, let the cashier know if you plan to visit the Buffalo Trading Post directly behind the
Went here recently for breakfast. Omelet was delightful! Ingredients except avacado (served on top) were mixed into eggs rather than folded in just in case that matters to some. Service was friendly and fast. Quaint southwest style atmosphere with quite a lot of local art on display.
The coyote burger is by far the best burger I've had in the southwest. Can't put it down to even drink your beer. Took pictures of the aftermath. I'd come back to Tucson just for this burger
The vegan tamales. And cowboy hash. Out of this world. Their non vegan items too! We have hit this amazing place twice in the past seven months. Two separate road trips. This place is a must stop every time we're out Tucson way!
this is a wonderful quirky little restaurant with a great atmosphere and delicious food. I return several times and take out-of-town visitors. Their hours are like 7 AM to 2 PM.
This place is great, delicious huevos rancheros And the mesquite pancake was super unique and surprisingly tasty. All around good vibes, except that some of the other customers were very annoying. I feel bad for the waitstaff.
Cute mom and pop restaurant. Love the southwest feel. The art work is nice as well. Lots of variety on the menu. I had the Avocado tacos!! So good. The biscuits were to die for!
I had the grilled veggie sandwich with prickly pear slaw. Was a smaller portion than I expected but was tasty. Service for take out was a 40 min wait which was too long. There’s a courtyard behind where you can eat outside.
