Review Tubac Jack's Restaurant - Tubac

Nice atmosphere, tasty food, had the green chile stew with a darn good side of onion rings. Delicious! Friendly staff

Really enjoyed this place, (friendly service and a cool vibe!) both for lunch with a classic margarita and shrimp tacos, and back again for live music with Lucy and Billy on Saturday night. Only suggestion: the music was wonderful, but after an hour of slow covers, bump it up to more lively songs so all can dance and shake off the week's stress! :)

I cannot recommend this place. The burger looked nice but, for me, rates as one of the least favorite I ever had. Meat had no spices added and had no flavor, onion rings were greasy and cold, but was dense and tasteless. The wife's salad we ordered was to have chicken on it. That meat tasted like pork to us. The answer we were given was that it was indeed chicken but all dark meat. All was served in a plastic basket lined with paper and aluminium foil. We were the lucky ones and got a real fork, not plastic utensils. We won't be back!

This place used to be my favorite, not anymore. The menu was only 5 things to choose from, no dessert, no bread the food was cold, like left over from lunch, at dix o'clock they were cleaning the kitchen, so was not able to warm up things or make a baked potato. A guy was sweeping up while people were eating next to him at the tables. Do yourself and favor, never go there

We had a good time here today. Everything was properly distanced and safe. The menu was good, and my friend's chimichanga was super tasty! The only reason for 4 stars is that the AC was off when we arrived, and when it's 100+ outside, it makes for a hit experience.

Beautiful inside! Comfy patio. Smoking only outside. The meals were great. I lived the burger, asked for medium and was cooked perfect. Pork burrito, a little dry. Needs more juices. Chicken quesadilla, full of flavor, shrimp tacos come on corn tortilla

Good flavor. Pleasant service. I'd eat here again so long as aroma of outside smokers didn't keep coming through the entrance. In fact, outside dining area is open to smokers and you have to pass through. Sensitive? Don't go.

It was our first time at Tubac Jack's and it won't be our last visit! Hailee took great care of us in the bar area and her service was prompt and perfect. Tubac's has a very rustic feeling and it's wonderful! There's just something very comfortable about the ambiance of the rooms and the decor. We had a few cold beers and some of the nachos and a pulled pork sandwich and that couldn't have been better! I knew that we'll be back here again down the road!!! :)

This place has outstanding service and the food is fabulous. The beer battered onion rings are the best. I enjoyed the southwest salad with chicken. Portions are plentiful. Sharing is good. Beautiful artwork adorns the inside of the place. And The hostess was so wonderful. She's from Hawaii and just a beautiful soul. I so look forward to visiting again. Thank you Tubac Jacks!!

I've ALWAYS Loved Tubac Jacks and have been there often and always bring guests there for lunch when they come visit us. We love Julie - she's the best. However, we made the huge mistake of going during the art festival. I understand completely that they decided to do a limited menu. Maybe a bit carried away with no substitutions (except hold the bun and you could sub coleslaw for fries) and no separate checks but still within some reason. But here's the thing and it drove me to almost leave. My daughter is on a very strict diet - super super low to no carbs. She felt a bratwurst without bun and and without fries but only coleslaw would not be enough food. I asked if they could just add 1 brat to her plate and not charge the full $13 x2.. The waitress was in a serious quandary and had to go talk to Jim - the owner. You could see it was not a good conversation so knowing him a bit - I went over to ask him myself - His answer was we had to pay for two servings. $26.00. I explained that we were only getting one brat added - not extra fries - not extra coleslaw and he finally said - "Fine, I'm getting too old for this - she (waitress) will take care of you. He was quite rude and a bit nasty. I sit down - she comes over and says - Actually he said you have to pay for two servings. We almost left but instead my daughter ordered a burger with coleslaw and no bun. Our 5 year old granddaughter - did not have the option of a child's menu item and we did not dare ask. In any case - as a matter of principal I'm not going back. It is just not the way you treat people. The attitude was the biggest problem and the stubborn and unreasonable price of $13. or $13.99 - don't remember - for one little (and they were little - did not even fill the bun) bratwurst is absolutely ridiculous.

The green chili stew was awesome and the beer ice cold! Dog friendly on the patio with water bowls constantly filled. Will for sure be back! Oh, great service.

Not an extensive menu but food came fast, service was attentive and the house margarita was fabulous!

They had a set menu to begin with. We decided to share a hamburger and when I cut it in half the bread was past begin fresh and the meat had a funny consistently. Needless to say it was bland and tasteless. The Micheladas we ordered were insipid. Not worth the $30.00 we spent.

I felt the bar food was a bit expensive, quality was OK. Ordered a $10 Cadillac margarita, received an extremely sour margarita instead.

No amount of talking could impress on someone just how wonderful the ribs are here. We always go on Thursday for the "all you can eat ribs" (unless they are having a festival) home made potato chips and a Dirty Redhead beer. My mouth waters just thinking about it.

Brittney was the best waitress ever who made the best margarita's. Food was excellent too; gr8 atmosphere. Would DEFINETLY go back!

TJ's is our favorite place for Barbequed ribs in the Tucson area. My wife's family got together at her folks place in Tucson for Christmas. We talked a group of 10 to head down for ribs one afternoon. As we pulled up, they were pulling a tray of ribs out of the smoker. We were not disappointed. They were delicious as always. We washed them down with prickly pear ice tea. Everyone in our group gave them a "10", a big thumbs up! Paul and Wendy

Arrived for a late 2pm lunch, only 2 tables left outside. The waitress clears the small bistro table for 2 for our party of 4. (WTH?) So we seat ourselves at the large square table and wait to have it cleared from the previous guests. Ordered guacamole only to learn they were out of guac. (It's AZ, so make some?) After a long wait to be served our lunches the table next to us ordered and received chips & guac! The BBQ pulled pork/slaw was very good, home made chips extremely greasy and way over salted. Food good, service needs work. Though we didn't have dogs with us this time, patio was dog friendly, and at least 4 well behaved dogs accompanied their people.

A bit pricey! I think the best part of the experience was our waiter. He was quite colorful. The paintings on the wall are created and painted by him.

It was dang hot in there and if I hadn't had my plate in front of me I would have been worried about the smoke coming from the kitchen. However, the waitress was very nice, the food was great, the entertainment was soothing and the drinks were cold. What else could a person want?

First time in Tubac and we have always heard about this place so we rode the Harley and had lunch and it was so so good. We would recommend this place so ride over and relax and eat some good food.

Great friendly service and wide variety of food and drinks. Also, the ambiance fits the desert southwest.
