Thursday night (steak night) is just awesome at Ms. Sherry's place. Mr Jerry cooks some of the most delicious, melt-in-your-mouth steaks to be found anywhere. A steak, plated salad, and a side dish is the perfect meal. I do wish a baked potato was to be had, because that's the perfect pairing to me. But the new potato casserole is a good substitute, and the Mac and Cheese is also top notch. I love this great little restaurant any time, for lunch or dinner. Wonderful people and great food. What more can you ask for? Wish there was a way to give seven or eight more stars!
The food is always excellent. Their fried chicken is the best, and I've never been disappointed by anything I have ordered there.

Carleigh's Review. Sherry’s Café is located on Valley Road in Trussville and serves southern style food. I think Sherry’s is great because their food is juicy and they have great service. The menu is very vast and has a lot of options. When I go to Sherry’s I always order the fried chicken, mashed potatoes and fried okra. Their chicken is always juicy, the okra is fried just right and their mashed potatoes do not have skins. My parents also enjoy Sherry’s Chicken and Dressing and Hamburger Steak. What I like best is that it all taste homemade, just like grandmas.
When you walk into Sherry’s you are greeted by the friendly wait staff. They are always nice and get you want you want. I like that they keep my drink up full and are eager make your dining experience wonderful. They will come back to the table to make sure everything was good and to check to see if you need anything else. Checking out is easy. All you do is, take your ticket to the cashier and you are ready to go.
Overall, Sherry’s is a good place to eat if you want a homemade, southern style meal with great service. I give Sherry’s a 4 out of 5 husky paws.
I've eaten there twice. It was good both times. First time had fried chicken, Mac & cheese and fried okra. Very good. I'm not even a fan on boneless chicken but this stuff had such a good flavor, I forgot about it being a boneless chicken breast. Second time, had beef tips & rice. Had Mac & cheese (always good) and green beans. I was happy with it and got generous portions both times at a price that was as good as or better than the other meat & 3 places in the area. It also came with a drink and bread. This neighborhood could use another good meat + 3 restaurant and Sherry's is a nice addition. It's very roomy and nice and clean inside too and the wait staff is courteous and prompt to get what you need. Give it a try.
Comfort Food. Food just like my Mothers. What I call comfort food. Others must like it too because the parking lot was full this past Sunday. I had pot roast, macaroni and cheese and fried okra. Instead of a meat and three, my growing son had a meat and five. I will definitely go back and recommend it to anyone who loves fresh food just like their Mother makes.

We loved it! The food was excellent as was the service! The dining room and the serving area were clean and pleasant. It was so nice to have soft music playing in the background and not loud, screaming noise. The servers and waitstaff were very pleasant and helpful. We will definitely go back.

The food was pretty good. It was not as good as it was when we were there last month on a week day. I was very disappointed with the green beans! They had put some hot pepper sauce in them and I don't want anything hot; not even with black pepper!! That needs to be added AT THE TABLE! The service was great. My husband's pork chop did not get out until he was almost done eating so they removed it from the bill!! We appreciated that!

Went for lunch today. The food was excellent and the portions were generous not skimpy. It was not a really busy day so we stayed and chit chatted for a good while. The staff were great about that.
Stopped here for a coffee break while on a road trip, not knowing exactly what to expect. Very friendly service, simple cafeteria-style menu. It all looked good, but all I can speak to is the pie and coffee, which both hit the spot. Would visit again if passing through the area. Nice that it's a just a tiny bit out of the way from the interstate exit.
Great food...there's not been one thing I haven't liked. My favorite is the chicken & dressing with gravy, sweet potato casserole, mac n cheese, turnip greens with cornbread. ❤ The staff is friendly & professional. A great little family restaurant.
Adorable little authentic traditional cafeteria! The kindest ladies work there. Medium meal cost, very family friendly atmosphere.
