Wonderful food and great service! We started with the oyster sampler appetizer, worth every penny! I got the shrimp and grits and a cup of gumbo and my husband got the fried oyster platter. Everything was perfectly cooked and we left stuffed. We will be back!! Thank you so much for a fantastic meal and timely service.
One of the best places for the freshest seafood, great local(*think heirloom cherry tomatoes on salad**) produce, and simple, yet carefully prepared ingredients, and even better service. You know a place is great when the chef/Owner personally comes out and makes sure everyone is enjoying themselves and 100% satisfied!!!! Don't miss the nightly feature, fish tacos, crab cake BLT, or for sure the crab claws! Their homemade cocktail and tartar are not to be missed either!! Love the owners!!
I had fried catfish platter and it was the best. Staff was so nice and just did everything right. Peanut butter pie was awesome. Nice crowd for a Tuesday nite. Will be back
The food was amazing! Hands down best crab cakes I've had in Birmingham. The fried oysters and pecan catfish are really good too. Excellent atmosphere, service and exceptional food with large servings!
I have numerous food allergies that are not your typical allergies ( preservatives and dyes ) and Chef Tony was able to accommodate me extremely well. He prepared a wonderful grouper with lemon butter sauce served over creole rice with asparagus, broccoli and tomatoes. It was phenomenal. The owner, Matt, and the Bar manager, Misty, have been so helpful and genuinely interested in creating a pleasant dining experience for me every time I’ve been here. It’s extremely difficult for me to go to a restaurant and they’ve made it so much easier for me.
First time visiting and will definitely be back! Tal and Sarah were amazing and everything they recommended was delicious. We had two fresh salads with house made dressings, the crab claws, crab cakes, and blackened shrimp. I think I’ve found a new spot in trussville!
The food is out of this world good!! The portions were enough for us to eat our fill and have leftovers. The staff was fast and friendly.
We had a great birthday dinner there last night. Great service and amazing food. worth the drive from anywhere in the Birmingham area.
I absolutely NEVER eat seafood. Not because I don’t like it, it’s just so hard to find a good spot. But tonight is my first time here and ABSOLUTELY by far the best seafood I have ever had! Ask for Tal and Wave to Sam!!

We have been to several sea food spots in Alabama and nothing compares to Parish if you ever try this place we promise you will return they have great prices and awesome bar drinks great service very friendly surroundings I’m getting hungry telling you
The ambience is amazing from start to finish! The manager/owner was extremely nice and welcoming very intune with customers! The food is absolutely amazing we will be back

Oysters were excellent! Full of fresh flavor. Our waitress was kick butt as well! A little pricey,but for the amount of food my father and i had, well worth it!
Bloody Mary Bar is the way to start. Excellent seafood. Oysters on the half were fresh. Huge seafood salads. The Jambalaya and Gumbo were awesome. Our group will be back this weekend.
I tried their lunch special which was shrimp poboy which came with cup of gumbo & flame roasted oyster. Loved the poboy, it was big enough to eat and take home for a snack. Oysters were good as well, just wish they serve bread with it. Will definitely return!
We are Trussville residents and like to try to support local business. We had been to Parish previously and had mediocre food and worse service. But our last visit was a new experience. The food was fresh and tasty and the service was better.
We ordered a lot of food because we had a gift certificate to use, so we got the following:
Catfish fingers - well breaded, good catfish! The toddler enjoyed these as leftovers for lunch the next day as well.
Artichoke and crab dip - lots of cheese and artichoke, not quite enough crab.
Grilled fish sandwich - huge piece of Grouper, obviously fresh and a great slaw on top!
Fried combo - shrimp and fish, well battered and not overdone. Good cocktail and tarter sauces as accompaniment.
We will be adding this back in to our Trussville restaurant rotation. I do wish the service was a little more prompt, but that is usually a toss up.
Great Grilled Oyster sampler and Salad Louis. We went in for a late afternoon appetizer/wine short break after shopping and were very impressed with the deliciousness of the four different flavors of the oysters, particularly the ones with the bacon and cheese! And they were very fresh and tasty. The salad was crisp with beautiful shrimp, asparagus, and an amazing sauce/dressing. We will definitely be back for more! The red wine suggested by Nicole was outstanding. I regret that I have forgotten the name. Friendly service and a great music selection in the background made for a great little break in the afternoon. Two thumbs up!
Love this restaurant.. Have eaten here many times. My husband loves the sandwiches (they are huge!) and the hush puppies are his favorite. I love the catfish fingers. And all my girls love the deserts. We have to all get something different, so that we can taste them all.
Absolutely wonderful and first time visited. All the seafood was fresh! The oysters were to die for, fantastic service. I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a good drink, good service and great food go out and try it for yourself. Thumbs up!!!
Really great service!! My wife and I went to Parish Seafood for the first time last night and we were impressed. Everyone that walked by our table was very friendly and offered service, we were greeted and seated quickly, our food was brought out in a timely manner, and we didn't have to wait all night on our check. Our food was also really good; you will be hard pressed to find better seafood in the area in this price range.
Only negative is the lack of parking, but they do offer a free valet...
We love Parish. My husband and I love the food and service. We have been back 4 times. It has to be our favorite place to eat. We have told our family and friends about this place and now they are planning on trying it.

Judge for yourself. It's obvious from reading some reviews, that people have a different idea of what constitutes value in a dining experience. Even after reading some of the reviews, we tried Parish today for a late lunch and we will definitely be going back. Everything we had was very good. The service was a tad slow, but the food made up for that. We started with a dozen raw oysters. They were not huge, but honestly people, for $12.95 a dozen what do you expect? I've had bigger ones at Highlands Bar and Grill and I paid double for them. These had a pleasant saltwater flavor, ZERO grit/sand and were perfect for a split appetizer before our meal. For our meal we both had Po'Boy sandwiches, just the 6" version (at $9.95 with fries) and we both had a hard time eating all of the food. It was very good, and reasonably priced to me.
Some people have complained about the pricing and I don't see an issue there. $9.95 for a sandwich with fries? Where do you expect to find one for less? McDonald's wants $6 for a cheeseburger meal. At Golden Corral people pay $18 per person to eat food that's been picked over and has kids running by sticking their booger fingers in the food. Try Red Lobster and then talk about price.. $26 for a plate of fried frozen seafood from a box like Ms. Paul's in the freezer section of your grocery store. We pay $3.50 a gallon for gas people. $10 for a sandwich and fries is not expensive. One lady compared her "value" to what she gets at Capt. D's. All I can say is lady, you should go back to Capt. D's. That's like comparing a grocery trip to Whole Foods to a grocery trip to Walmart Neighborhood Market. People that want good seafood, never consider going to Capt. D's!

Will try again. I just thought it was ok, but to be fair, I didn't try the fish or shrimp. I did the jambalaya and gumbo. It was just ok. Tasted kind of the same, and wasn't hot. Just blah. Also, it was pretty newly opened when I went. Will try again and see.
Gumbo and Hushpuppies. This a note to bring attention to your gumbo and hush puppies. Our main course selections were five star tasting as usual. This is not a compliant, merely a suggestion.
We have eaten here several times in the past. Several is the key word here, had the food not been tasty we would not returned.
On this particular occasion we ordered gumbo and hush puppies as an appetizer. May we suggest that you please reduce the amount of okra, our bowls was half filled with okra. We could not eat the hush puppies, they were
a little over cooked.

My husband and I decided to try this place out. We went in and sat at the bar. My husband ordered a half dozen raw oysters. He had to ask for crackers. We watched the oyster shucker prepare oysters and he wasn't very consistent. He would put ice on some trays and some trays didn't get ice. This perplexed me. A big group of women came in and sat beside us and they were given free food. I was highly offended by this because the owner was showering them with attention and they were clearly regulars. The food was bland. The cole slaw was terrible. Customers around us were complaining that there were no crab claws. I ordered a pomegranate martini and I was told that I had to wait while someone went to buy more pomegranate juice. My husband had to ask the bartender three times for a beer... we were already seated at the bar?!?!? I would have forgiven everything else but I couldn't get over the owner lavishing these women with free food when they were already regulars and this was our first time. Don't do that blatantly in front of other customers because it's unfair and rude!
AMAZING OYSTERS. My husband and I stumbled upon Parish Seafood & Oyster House the other day, & it blew us out of the water. I ordered raw oysters on the half shell & he ordered étouffée. The oysters were so fresh, delicious & extra large! I had to cut a few in half to fit on my saltines. The étouffée was a huge portion, & his plate was almost licked clean. They get their seafood delivered daily, & you can really tell the difference!
My husband and I celebrated our 21st wedding anniversary there this evening...the oysters Rockefeller were prepared obviously with great care.I wish I had ordered just that for my entree...until it came. Deluxe seafood dinner with fried oysters, shrimp and catfish...French fries, hush puppies and Cole slaw. The oysters once again were excellent...cooked perfectly..as well as the shrimp and fish. Overall great experience and will return! Excellent service provided by miss Julie...thanks for making our special occasion one to remember in positive way! :-)
Great Seafood. While in Trussville stopped and had lunch at Perish Seafood and Oyster House. Baked oysters were wonderful, wife had pecan crusted catfish, it was fantastic as well. Also got the onion rings, and they were great. The sauce made them really stand out. You will enjoy the meal.

Really enjoyed everything! Fresh salad with homemade dressing & croutons. Seafood was fresh & delicious w homemade tartar sauce. Jambalaya was unique & tasty. Service was outstanding!!! We even got to sample the bread pudding--not normally a fam fav but this one was wonderful--served warm w scratch made whip cream. Fantastic addition to our local restaurants in Tville area!!
Absolutely wonderful. All the seafood was fresh! The oysters were to die for, fantastic service and if you want a marvelous martini, ask for "The Dave". The restaurant is still very new, but I would highly recommend it to anyone needing a good drink, good service and great food.

Great Food!. Oysters, sandwiches, shrimp are all very good! Hush-puppies are excellent and the onion rings are some of the best I've ever had.
I had the shrimp po-boy. The bread could have been a little better but the shrimp was great. Raw oysters were good too. Full service bar but nothing on tap.
Amazing Lunch!! Great Service!!. The Good Boy Po-boy at Parish's is by far the best Po-boy I have had in a long time. If you like your Po-boy's with a ton of flavor and more food than you can eat in one sitting, this is the Po-boy for you. Matt and the staff do a great job of making you feel at home when you are here. The Seafood Gumbo is also a must try. Exceptional taste and just the right amount of spices. I have now found my new seafood place. Best restaurant in Trussville by far, and one of the best in Birmingham. I can't wait to go back and sit at the bar with a dozen or so oysters...
Enjoyed a late lunch of a bowl of gumbo and a half crab cake Po boy. The gumbo was full of fresh seafood and was very good, served on top of a bed of rice.The Po boy had two delicious crab cakes, lettuce, tomato, and just enough of what I believe to be a remoulade sauce on fresh warm French bread.. The atmosphere is casual, with friendly staff, and good service. I would absolutely recommend this locally owned, always fresh, taste of New Orleans.
Unbelievable! The food is amazing and delicious. The quality of the food in this restaurant is amazing. This restaurant belongs in Norfolk, Virginia or Newport, Rhode Island or Boston, Massachusetts by the Atlantic Ocean. The prices are extremely reasonable and the service second to none. One of our best experience in Trussville, Alabama. Veterans and their families are welcomed. You must visit and eat there while visiting Birmingham, Alabama.
I absolutely Love Parish Seafood! I took my husband today for his first time and he couldn't believe the amount of food that they offer and the taste! We ordered 2 oyster platters (Sampler & Grilled Oysters) Yes it takes a while for the food to come out but once it's on your table it's worth it. For me it just lets you know the food is fresh. The only downfall about coming on Sundays is the fact that they run out of everything from the weekend. 😢 That could use improvement. Other than that go to Parish Seafood for the BEST oysters in town.
the baked oysters are tops... they could have been hotter for the cheese on top... i told the owner she says you can order them that way... so do order them oven hot... full bar....southern seafood fare...some sauces are better than others... they have the traditional southern seafood part down pat. tops in that area for sure
The oysters were outstanding and very fresh. Fried shrimp was cooked perfectly and the sauces that accompanied everything were great.
