Wow, what can I say, excellent Mexican food, even for California. I’m from Texas and my wife and I are here for our 23rd anniversary, we were married in Lake Tahoe in March and we didn’t want to risk driving over in the snow. So 23 years later we finally made it. Your food is as good as the best in San Antonio! Glad we stopped in.

Food has been busy as good as before. 3rd time here. Service good have been better but overall the food was the best part. The Cadillac margarita was very good too.

One word: Taco Tuesday!
I went in by myself and sat at the bar. Service was immediate for a beer and three street tacos. Chips and salsa included. The beer was cold, and the tacos were amazing (many choices of meat) . I would have ordered more but next door is alibi brewing, which is also a must go.

Best selection of tequila in Truckee!!! Miguel, the owner, is super knowledgeable about the 145 different brands at his bar and is quick with a recommendation!! Don’t pass up a chance to have a shot with him.

I loved the fish tostada. Plenty fir 2 meals. The Chile Verde burrito was good, though it could have had more ingredients. It had beans, cheese and chicken.

We liked the food; guacamole, chips &salsa, fajitas, chili reyenos, chili Verde burrito, tacitos. Very nice and attentive waiter. And cool decor, reminded me of great Tahoe places in the 70s.

This was our second time eating here, having visited a few years ago on a California road trip. We were bar hopping in Truckee and the bartender said if we're looking for good Hispanic food, we should absolutely go to Casa Baeza and to ask for "Clay Pots". Well, we weren't disappointed. Even during COVID restrictions, this place was amazing. Great service, delicious food, and those clay pots were devilishly good. We hadn't stopped talking about that place in the few years since we ate there, and made sure it was on our itinerary when we made a motorcycle ride into Reno for Street Vibrations 2023. On a day where we rode through Virginia City, around Lake Tahoe, and through Truckee, we made sure to stop for dinner at Casa Baeza. It was everything we wanted and more. This time we brought a friend with us and they had nothing but great things to say about the food and drinks. This is a long winded explaining to say that we really loved our experience here and we thank them for making our adventures extra magical. We know we will be coming back again.

The volcano tacos are the BEST tacos I've ever had! The house margarita is fantastic as well! I will be back!

Amazing dining experience! Friendly service and very attentive. Mexican food is very authentic. Staff is very attentive to your needs and can make suggestions on must have plates. I highly recommend the Volcano Tacos (so good they were gone before a they got a chance at a photo). Will come again!

This is a great bar with lots of tequila to choose from. The bartender really loves his job, and is very personable and high energy.
He's lots of fun to watch.
Food is just okay, their description for it is "the best food you forgot you had" which describes it well.
Can be extremely busy and a little disorganized when trying to get a table.
