Great food. While we were there a lady had a fall and the owner was by her side the whole time. Made me like this place even better.

Couldn't have asked for a better meal after hiking all day at the Donner Tunnels. The warm French dip was perfect (Big Dippa). Staff is friendly, normal restaurant ambiance, and outdoor seating.

We had a larger party, six adults and a baby in a high chair and thankfully one of the two tables for large groups was available but we were snug. The indoor dining doesn't accommodate many people but there are many outdoor tables if the weather is suitable. The food however was delicious and service was friendly and fast! I actually ordered their version of a French dip sandwich and it was a good amount of food. My husband got the cowboy burger on a gluten free bun. Several others got a root beer float and it was nice they provided the remaining Mug root beer to keep adding. On the way out I grabbed a chocolate milkshake which was so good with a syrup drizzle inside the cup and whipped cream topping. Definitely a good place to stop for a quick bite with a smaller group.

We called our order in ahead of time and it was ready 15 minutes later. Delicious French dip sandwiches, big dippa I think was the name. The guy behind the counter was friendly and helped us quickly. Good bathrooms. They were the place closest to the smog check place and we were pleasantly surprised with how excellent the food was!

Great place to have a burger or two. Service was great and friendly. Food was awesome loved the NV Elk Burger and sweet potato fries. Got items to go also they were jealous that I got to stop here

I've been coming here for years, as a treat after long weekends camping in the Tahoe National Forest, and the food and service has always been incredible. The burgers, fries, and shakes are phenomenal, and worth stopping to enjoy a warm tasty meal whenever you're in the area!

Creative burgers (elk, ahi, bison, beyond burgers, etc…) that are consistently tasty. The Southwest Turkey is a favorite along with the Truckee Train Wreck. The homemade veggie burger is good but is occasionally dry- the Beyond burger option is a good one.
The sweet potato fries are amazing- eat them hot!
Eating outside is okay, it’s right on the road so it can be noisy. Inside is fine - it can get super crowded. Service ranges from okay to great.

Best gluten-free burger I have had in a while! I got the gluten free bun and subbed the crispy onions for grilled onions. Garlic Fries were the bomb!

Six of us each got something different and everyone loved what they got. Pricing was very reasonable, and a great variety on the menu. The atmosphere only took a knock because the inside dining was full and we were out on the patio in the heat. This will be a regular stop for us whenever we head over the mountains.
